Arrival Story:
I can't believe it's been eight years! Back then, we had a cat by the name of Oreo and decided to get him a companion. We found a newspaper ad for Shadow's litter and went straight to the house. Shadow the was last cat left, and it was easy to see why: She was the runt, she was all black, and she looked like a monkey. I hesistated but ended up taking her home anyway. She quickly became a girl's best friend. Eight years later, a lot has changed. But I still look foward to seeing Shadow's big yellow eyes staring up at her mommy, who loves her more than she knows.

Bio:
Shadow is a very vocal cat - she's always meowing, like she's talking. She follows me all over the apartment, wherever I am, my "shadow" isn't far behind. She loves Friskies Cat Milk - whenever she hears the fridge open, she comes running to see if it's her beloved milk treat. She also loves to sit out on the patio and watch to golfers curse. :)

Hi there my fellow felines! I've been so busy lately. I got a new little brother - er, human brother. Mom and Dad brought him home from the pound (okay, hospital) back in March. So things have definitely changed around here! I still sleep next to Mom, but now we get woken up at night. Mom feeds the little brother and we all go back to sleep!

I lost a couple more of my lives two days ago. Mom likes to sew and I got into some of her thread. I have NO IDEA what I was thinking, but I ate it. A lot of it. The next morning, I didn't feel so great. I threw up a couple of times and went to hide under the bed. It didn't take Mom that long to realize that something was wrong and off to the emergency vet we went. I had to have surgery to remove the thread from my digestive tract. The thread was caught underneath my tongue and both of the ends stretched down my throat all the way through my small intestine. I know, dumb move eating the thread. I'll never touch it again!

So I'm recovering now and Mom is pampering me. I'm happy that I'm worth $2,000, which is what my surgery cost!

Been a while!

Okay, I'm guilty. Not updating my diary, I know. But I have a couple legitimate excuses!

Poor Mom, she's been sick for months. No, not that kind of sick - she's not dying! Meow. She's been baby sick. Mom spent a good 5 months feeling nauseous and puking more than I've ever (you though hairballs were bad?!), so I had to take care of her and keep her company through her misery. She is SO FAT now! I've been telling her to lay off the cookies, but I guess she just can't. I lay on her lap now and I get kicked and punched. I think that there is somthing alive in her stomach, but I'm not quite sure. That might explain why she looks like she swallowed a beach ball!

I've been good, just relaxing and being lazy all the time. I have a couple new toys to play with now. One is called a "crib," I think. It is just too much fun to jump into and out of. There's also something called a "swing" that is super comfy. But Mom and Dad yell at me whenever I make myself comfy! I have no idea why, I thought I was the top honcho in this house? Huh? Huh?!

I have a feeling things are going to be changing pretty soon... ^..^

Uhhh.. Baby?

So Mom keeps telling me that I'm going to be a big sister. I'm not entirely sure what she's talking about, but boy is Mom starting to put on a few pounds.

The big brown boxes are everywhere now, and the entire house is taken apart. I have this funny feeling that something is changing. Mom and Dad keep saying that I'm going to be a "Longwood Kitty," whatever that means. What if I like being an Orlando Kitty? Huh?

I'm a cat, and cats hate change. I guess that's what I get in exchange for an easy life full of food, sleeping in the sun, and treats.

Still worried about that big sister thing though... As long as it's not another cat!
