I was laying on a log in the hot afternoon sun when I heard a voice say "Hi Mister". My heart skipped a beat as only my moms called me "Mister". I looked over and saw a very handsome orangeman walking towards me. He knew me! I knew him! His name is Gordin and he has lived with my mom down on the big dirt ball. I have been watching over that house for the past 8 years. He is a funny guy and won't just let anyone pick him up. I like that. Unlike me..I was a big slut. Anyhow, Gordin said "I have felt you in the house for the past few years. I have hunted some of your favorite hunting spots and laid in some spots you had marked". Gordin came to RB a week or so ago and has been looking to find me. "I'm sorry I didn't know you were coming", I said. "I was off on a retreat at Mufasa Mountain and just got back". "No worries", Gordin said, "the other angels have been showing me around and I like it here a lot". "Look", he said, and pointed to a tree growing to the right of Catnip valley. There, in the distance, was an olive tree. "I love those", he said and we took off together to go check it out. I climbed right up and knocked 10 olives off the tree for him. He sniffed them, batted them with his paws and then bit into each one. He passed one to me. I licked it. "Eh", I said...I'd rather go eat a few cucumber peels or some catnip. "Hey", Gordin said. "Did you ever live with a dog?" "Yes. Yes I did. I lived with Stryker, Max and Sydney". "Why", I asked him. "Well", he said, I lived with a dog named Josie (I was one of her pussycats...MOL!) and I sort of miss her". "Yes!", I said..."Let me show you the dog side of Rainbow Bridge"...I've been waiting for another cat who knows how to handle dogs. I've been dying for a good game of chase". And with that, Gordin and I, along with 42 olives stuffed in a sack went hiking down to Husky Mountain for a great adventure. I think we are going to be great friends!

I was hunting just north of where the Rainbow Bridge meets Turtle Pond. I thought I smelled a nest of moles so I was crouched down and I suddenly felt someone crouch down next to me. I slowly turned my head and our noses touched. I hissed slightly; reactively. He picked up one paw as if to swat my nose but instead, he stretched it out. I let him touch me on my paw. He said "I'm Sandman; I'm new here". "Hey Sandman", I said, "you look familiar". We started trying to figure out where I knew him from. Did you ever live in Ithaca, I asked him. Nope. Cortland? Nope. I'm from Scranton, he said. Ohhh....I remembered. "Our moms work together and me and the other angels have been trying to keep an eye on your mom this past year. She needs all the help she can get...MOL!" I've seen you there while looking over your mother. Ahh....Sandman said. "I hope you'll show me how to watch over my family now". "Sure thing" I said..."C'mon, I'll show you the hole in Turtle pond that lets us watch over them". Sandman and I started towards the pond and he quickly grabbed a mole and passed him to me with his front paws. He said "it sure is nice to be young, healthy, spry and energetic again". Yep...I told him...welcome to paradise.

That little Bean is a hoot! He reminds me a lot of me. Well sure, mom raised both of us. I used to love to wander around the neighborhood and visit people. Bean does that. He is like the little neighborhood cat. I like watching him. Sometimes, I hear mom slip and call him "Rocky". Then, she gets a little choked up and laughs.
