Arrival Story:
Angus was adopted from PetsMart. We went in for a bag of cat food, and came out with a new kitten. Strange how that works. We had no intentions of adopting another cat, we just like to look and love on them all. Usually we gravitate toward the shy or needy ones, but something about his eyes, those eyes... my wife fell for him straight away. After finishing our shopping and starting to drive home, my wife keep looking at me with THOSE eyes... I've seen that look before. So, I turned the truck around, out comes the checkbook, away goes the money, and before you can name him, we have a new baby in the family.
Bio:
We learned he had been in shelters since he was just 11 ounces. Despite this, never have we had a kitten so easily integrated into our gang. No hissing, no spitting, no growling. He'd just run up nose to nose with our biggest cats, look at them, try to tackle them, and then go running to the next victim. He is all boy! Riley took charge as he always does with the new ones, but Angus would not hold still long enough for Riley to cuddle. Stinky who has few friends due to his rough play, found an immediate playmate in Angus, which delighted us. They soon became best of friends. Other than a few early health problems, he is doing well. We think he will always be shy. He looks at you with wide eyes like you are out to get him, but if you are sitting down, he's in your lap, nudging, licking and putting his little bottom in your face! But don't try to pick him up, or cuddle...he's off like a shot! Still, we love the little guy. You can't help but smile when you look at him..those eyes..
