My Private World

I'm Back !

I just could not make it as an indoor kitty! I really tried for many months but once the warm weather was here, it was back to the barn and roaming the woods again. Outdoor freedom is wonderfull and priceless!

My attitude is even better now and I am more tolerant of my feline family than ever before. I have even made friends with FeeLee (Catch the new picture just posted) Dad calls it "Guarding Bast".

Well, time to head for the barn, my favorite window seat and catch some morning sun! Later maybe a rodent chase or two.

Days of Milk and Catnip

It is with bittersweet memories that I update my diary. The mishap that occured and the resultant injury of last December are ever present now in my daily routine. And even though the veterinarians have pronounced me completely and properly healed and I have regained complete use of my foot. I seldom venture outdoors now and do not have any interest in revisiting my revered observation posts or the surounding environs as in the past.

Oh, I had wonderful days of milk and catnip. My housemates were kind to me and stayed well away from my circle of tolerance during my convalescence. My humans were overly kind and attended to all my needs. But now security and safety are foremost in my mind and it appears at this writing I have decided to become a full time indoor residing feline.

I will continue to post my further adventures as my new life begins indoors.

Broken Foot

Since many Catster friends asked what happened to me after Dad posted that picture of me in a cast, I thought it was time to go public. If you have read my biography you know I am not a gregarious feline by nature but feel compelled to explain the circumstances of the accident.

One nice sunny day I decided to fully enjoy it on the top of Dad's car, he always keeps it clean and waxed. I made it to the hood but attempting to get to the roof slipped into the windshield wiper channel and went over the edge with my foot caught in the door jamb and was hanging there by my then broken foot. When Dad came running to my rescue I was frantic and bit and clawed him badly but somehow he got me out. He took me directly to the Vet and they put this huge cast on me.

I have adapted to living with it for over 3 weeks and it comes off tomorrow! I will post my further progress in the coming months. Thank all of you for your concern and get well wishes!
