Arrival Story:
I had just lost my dear sweet Tubby and went to the Portland Humane Society to pick out my next best friend. The minute I saw Chester (named Erich at the time) I fell in love. I took him into the visiting room and he bit me---that made him purrfect. I completed the application and interview process and was just about to take "Erich" home when the humane society realized they had made a mistake, he wasn't supposed to be available for adoption until the next day. I was heartbroken and very stressed. Turns out Chester had a microchip and the notification period (14 days) hadn't expired yet. I was on pins and needles, couldn't sleep and was worried he would be claimed by the people who had "lost" him. Long story short I was there to pick him up right when the doors opened the next day and we have been together ever since 5 years and going.

Bio:
Due to his time on the streets (before he moved in with me), Chester has a bb in his back from being shot and is missing two teeth. He is fantastic to live with but possesses a kamikaze personality that keeps him indoors at all times. He loves road trips and flying on planes (in the cabin of course as carry on never with the luggage).
