Arrival Story:
He was my grade eleven graduation present. He was an unfortunate kitty mill pet store kitten, but as bad as that sounds, they need to be loved too. He was so tiny that I didn't even notice him in the cage for the first few minutes. The runt of the litter, he needed some special care. He's so big now that it's impossible to be able to tell that he was ever a runt. His middle name is Hank.

Bio:
Shiloh was a completely healthy, happy little guy until December of 2008 when he had an attack of pancreatitis. After spending a week at the vet, he came home, seemingly back to normal. He was fine for two months until he stopped eating and became tired and lethargic. He lost so much weight, he went from being overweight to being emaciated. When we took him to the vet again, he was severely anemic. He tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and though he had non-regenerative anemia, he did not have CRF. The doctor presumed he had cancer. I went in on Sunday, March 15th to have him euthanized. He died before I could make it there. I never had a chance to say goodbye. I cradled his dead body in my arms, and the hardness of his skin and the distendedness of his tummy made him look like the old Shiloh again, which was comforting in a way. I will always love my little guy, he was my first real pet and he changed my life. Rest in peace baby, April 3, 2006 - March 15, 2009.
