Arrival Story:
Dande came to me from a woman in the city. she (Dande) was being chased by 'people' that fight pitt-bulls. they were trying to catch her for bait. see, they use puppies and cats and kittens to bait their dogs to make them want the taste of blood. these animals are hung over the dogs cages and the dogs are teased with them...they (the bait) are still alive. the dogs jump up trying to get them.....and if they don't succeed in tearing them apart...then the 'people' eventually throw the bait in to the dogs so they can 'get the taste of blood' and be better fighters. the bait usually has their claws and mouths duck taped shut so the pitts don't get hurt. besides these wonderful 'people', there are the jerks that get kittens from ades in the paper-"free to a good home"- sometimes the girlfriends of these people will answer an ade and get a kitten or two, 'for little 'Sally', and then give them to their boyfriends- who have large reptiles. Snakes, like the Boa, are a good example. when these large reptiles get about so big, mice do not satisfy their hunger any more. so, they use kittens instead. PLEASE BE CAREFUL TO WHOM YOU ADOPT KITTENS OUT TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dande was over a year old and scared to death of people when she was brought in to me. it took about a year to make friends with her and gain her trust. she, to this day is still afraid of men and strangers. beware to whom you adopt your cats, puppies and even dogs to. they are sometimes used for fighting dog bait. screen your potential adopters carefully.

Beyond the Rainbow ~ *****
As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade.
I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble~free
Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.
I saw the most beautiful Rainbow and on the other side
Were meadows rich and beautiful~~lush and green and wide!
And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see
Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be!
My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new,
And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do.
I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night. 'Twas the glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.
For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a cord no ones eye can see.
So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.
I love you Mom....please don't cry....we'll all be together again someday.

Purrrs and Kitty-kisses, with lots of kitty huggs.....
your loving
ps- and to you, Puffy......I'll always be waiting for you, my bestest friend, till we are together again. Love and Kitty snuggles.....purrrrrrr
