A Tag Game - Who Are You Really?

I was tagged in a game by Zachery Kolohe’ Rider. Here's the questions just copy and paste. And tag 5 kits to play along.

1) Tell me your funny Christmas story.

Mom and Dad used to always put up a Christmas tree every year - until the year 2008. That’s when Luke and I joined the household. We love to climb and jump on things and that year we tipped the tree over several times. Mom tried to put up a smaller tree on the dining room table thinking it was too small for us to climb, but we knocked that tree over, too, and removed the ornaments. No more Christmas trees in our house – MOL.

2) Where's your favorite hiding place when playing hide and go seek?

I like to burrow and hide underneath blankets. It’s warm and dark and no one can see me. Mom says I must be part mole.

3) What did you dream of being as a young kit?

The most important thing to me when I was a young kit, was to find a forever home with my bro Luke. We’ve been together since birth and our rescue group was pretty insistent that that we get adopted together. I’m happy to say that the dream came true.

4) What's your favorite hobby?

Birdwatching, planting catnip and gardening with Mom, sneaking up and pouncing on Luke, wrestling with Luke, and chasing my little sister Natasha around the house to name a few.

Checking on my catnip plant in the garden

5) What’s your one "bad habit" that you love and your Mom hates?

I insist on being fed on the kitchen counter. Ever since I was a young kit, I have always jumped on the counter when I want to be fed. Mom thinks it’s because Luke has always been the alpha kitty and he can be somewhat dominant at the food bowls. I like to be up high on the counter so I can eat my food in peace with no one bothering me.

6) If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go?

I’m pretty much a homebody. I’ve gone on a few camping trips in our RV to the mountains and to the coast, but I much prefer to stay home when I can.

7) What is your guilty pleasure?

I’m a foodie. I’ve always enjoyed my Fancy Feast (chicken or turkey) and I insist that Mom sprinkle freeze dried or grilled chicken on top of my wet food. Did I mention that I am quite spoiled? Dad tells Mom to stop spoiling us, but she doesn’t listen to him, thank catness.

8) What is your favorite make believe monster? Post a pic of this mysterious beast.

Mom has a doggie friend at work named Vern. He is a service dog that belongs to a co-worker who is blind. Vern is allowed off his harness when he’s not working and he likes stop in and visit people in their offices. Mom buys him toys and treats and likes to pet him and rub his belly when he stops in to visit. As long as Mom doesn’t bring him home to meet us, I’m okay with it.

Meet Vern

9) What is the one dreaded thing you have to do at home?

I really dislike carpet cleaners because they make a lot of noise with their loud monster machines and they make our carpets smell funny afterwards. We run and hide whenever they come over.

10) We are going to have coed ships this year so which ship do you want to be on mine, or Zoe’s. Gris will be having a small ship (more like a dingy) for all our kits to be on.

Either ship sounds like fun. I love Talk Like a Pirate Day – arrrrrgh!

Thanks for tagging me Zach! I’m off to tag some friends!

I must say Tully that Vern is a good looking man. He looks similar to my old dogster boyfriend Angus.

Snicker, snicker....our Dad owns a carpet cleaning and Restoration business. We hide from him too. And Mom when she's vacuuming for that matter.

You and Luke are very, very lucky to have found a forever home together. And we are very very lucky to have meet you guys and your hot stuff sister.

Hey Zach! Didn't know your Dad had a carpet cleaning business. We get really freaked out when that loud carpet cleaning monster comes in the house. We don't like the vacuum either. Mom gets that thing out several times a week because there is so much cat fur all over the house - we run and hide from it.

Mom is crazy about Vern. She'd love to have a dog or two along with all of us cats, but knows that would make us very unhappy. We don't really enough space for 4 cats and a dog right now. Mom's dream is to one day own several acres of land so she can have many cats and dogs. Goats and horses would be cool, too. She's a real animal lover.

We are very lucky to have met you, too! You and your family are a lot of fun.

Hey buddy, it's fun to read more about you.

Maybe when you guys get a little older and mellow out some your pawrents can try to put up a tree again?

That is so great that your pawrents adopted you and Luke together!

Eating on the counter sounds like fun. I wanna try that!

Great pic of you and the catnip plants. You guys have a nice backyard. :)

Tell your mom never to stop spoiling you and your sibs ~ you deserve it!

That Vern is one good looking dog dood! That big toy he has looks pretty cool too. Your mom is a sweetie to get things for him. Vern does important work and should have all those goodies. Can service cats come to your mom's work also?

Thanks for tagging me!

Enjoyed reading your tags, Tully! We haven't had a tree since we've been here because the Mama KNEW what would happen! And, like Jezzie, I've got a spot up high (on the window seal) where I sometimes like to eat. I don't know about that Vern - he looks HUGE! But we have met a service cat here on Catster. His name is Zeus. His Mama is sick right now and needs purrs.

It sounds like all of us really dislike the vacuum monster. That's cool that you have your own table to eat on, Jez.

Some of you know that my Mom works in a hospital so service animals are very welcome, and they are often part of therapy to help patients recover from illnesses and injuries. Gumpy, Mom hasn't met any service cats at the hospital yet, although I'm sure they can be there if they are needed. She has met a lot of service dogs, especially seeing eye dogs.

Samhain, we went to Zeus' page and visited. Sorry to hear that his Mama is sick. He sounds like a very special kitty.

Hi Milo buddy! Yep, Mom agrees with you that animals are great therapy for the humans. Mom can have a really stressful day at work and when she comes home and spends time with us she forgets all her worries.

Natasha likes to play in the water fountain, too. Even though it's a huge ceramic bowl, she finds a way to take the dome off the top and splash water all over the floor. Silly girl!
