A wild morning

This morning I was eating my breakfast, and my kitty scenses alerted me to a strange noise comming from under the oven. After further investigation I realized I had an intruder!!! I thought about calling for back up, but my family was all still asleep, so I had to work alone. I moved quietly toward the oven and took my stalking position, very queitly I laid still until the intruder, not knowing I was just inches away, showed his face. A mouse!!! A varment in my home, oh no, not on my watch. I pounced and caught him, I toyed with him for a while, letting him go and then catching him again, because its just so fun, I chased and played with him until I heard a yell. It was my mom, I assured her I had the intruder subdued, but alas she insisted upon taking control and throwing him out of the house. I was quite upset you see, as the guard cat around here I take pleasure in keeping each intruder I catch in my toy box ( my mom found all my intruders I tried too keep and wasnt too happy). So you can see why I was soo upset, but after my mom got me my breakfast I seemed to forget about it, who can be upset when you get chicken delight with vegtable medley for breakfast??? YUM..

well I have to go, a cats job is never done, keeping my family safe from intruders.

Meow...Smokey
