Silver-Patched Tabby

Loud noises, strangers at first.

Favorite Toy:
Everything!!! She loves toy mice, balls, anything and everything.

Favorite Nap Spot:
Her favorite pet bed, on me, on my bed, against a pillow.

Favorite Food:
She will take to most food after a while, but loves Chicken Wellness. She prefers dry food over wet.

She'll look up at you with pleading eyes, tilt her neck and beg for a chin rub. And you know you'll give in!

Arrival Story:
I am a foster parent for a local animal rescue. Sassy came from a foster family who could no longer take care of her. Before that, she was found stray and had five kittens!

Sassy is VERY playful! She loves to play with her cat-sisters. She doesn't like being held, but is very lovey just sitting next to you and will "ask" you to pet her by nudging you with her paw and rolling around next to you. She needs two weeks, just two weeks to be comfy. If she is in a new place, she needs her own room for a few days, and she needs her new owner to visit her a lot in that room. With perseverance, she will become their best friend. She loves to lounge near me and on me (it's taken a month for her to be comfy laying on me). She is a tad timid of strangers, but she will get better with time.

My life as a foster cat

Well, I got an inquiry call! I KNOW!!!

If you didn't know by know, I"m a foster kitty and I'm living with my foster mom and her family and her two awesome cats Snowball and Mo. Mo and I are best buds and Snowball is like a cat mother. Anyways, Mom has wanted me to go to a really special home, because I'm a special girl. She says that she thinks that she has found it.

A lady called. She has a dog (small) and stays home, so she has a lot of time for me. She will be patient enough to help me through my starter period of shyness.

Mom is sad. She loves me lots, but she says she knows I"m going to a great home.

If the lady is truly interested after we meet, she is going to make a "starter basket" for me, with my blankie, toys, food, and other stuff that I enjoy.

Mom is painting the cat room today.

She decided yesterday that she was kinda sick of the way the people who had the house before us painted it. The walls were pretty messy. So she put everything (all the furniture) in her room, put the linens in the wash, painted the room a beautiful light blue with white trim and is going to scrub the floors and vacuum later tonight. We've been blocked out of the cat room all day because there is a window without a screen open and Mom doesn't want us anywhere near the paint or the smell. But we've been scratchin on the door all the time she is in there!

Me and Mo, my best buddy, have found a new fun spot to sit. It's on Mom's bed in front of her window. We sit there and headbutt each other. I headbutted her so hard yesterday that she fell over!

A fishie died yesterday. Mom was sad- she said that he was the weakest and probably couldn't stand up to the other sick-lids (mom told me that it's supposed to be spelt "cichlids", but I like it the other way!) for food. There's a new one- Guy. They're fun to watch and look at.

Mo and Snowball have taught me how to get some daily exercise indoors by at 10pm, running through the entire house with them and then up the scratching post, onto the bed, across the desk, through the house, into the cat room- everywhere! Then we end on Mom's bed.

Mom found out that I am deathly afraid of being held, and she knows I'm afraid of the outdoors, so she won't even try. I was a stray, a pregnant stray. Probably raised as a feral kitten. One year of foster care and I've been getting better.

Easter Bunny,
Please bring me a family to adopt me. I will be my best for someone to adopt me because there are lots of pregnant mommy cats out there and I know what it's like. Mom says that when I'm adopted, she is taking in one of the kitties. Please, Easter Bunny, please.

Sleeping soundly

I love my Mom's bed. It's so comfy and offers endless enjoyment. My best buddy, Mo, and I run through the pillows, screech onto the top of the litterbox and then climb up the cat scratching post (showin' off our claws to Snowball, who was declawed years ago when people didn't know it could be bad) and then we JUMP all the way down to the floor. Whoever gets there first wins! We're also big fans of the window that's right beside Mom's bed. We sleep right there, while keeping an eye out for birds. When we see a bird, we start chattering and Mom laughs if she sees us.

Now that there's a fish tank at eye level, that offers a lot to enjoy! Mo and I sit there while Mom works on the computer. Snowball is cross eyes and sees a million fish- she's not much fun. She mostly likes to sit with Mom, but sometimes she'll run with us or sleep with us.

I'm fitting in well here and LOVIN' it!
