Arrival Story:
Her former family had her for 7 years before they decided they didn't want to care for her any more. They were keeping her outside because she was afraid of the kids and their guinea pig. So she and her brother became barn cats (even though she can't catch a mouse to save her life). Even though her brother did not like people, he was adopted immediately, while she stayed in the shelter for five weeks. I saw her picture online, and decided that there was a sweet kitty behind her sad and distrusting eyes. When I brought her home, she jumped into my lap and began licking my nose the instant I let her out of the carrier. She hasn't left my lap since, and every night I am awakened by her incessant forehead-licking.
