Happy Birthday to Me!

Wow it's been a long time since I blogged here! Life has been going along pretty well for me - oh except in April when Andy + Rachel went to Australia for a month and didn't take us with them!!! Can you imagine being left behind? And we didn't even get to stay at home, we had to go to a cattery, with other cats. *shudder*

It took me a long time to forgive that.

Then a stray cat turned up in our garden and Andy + Rachel started feeding it! With my food! The audacity!

Still today is my fourth birthday, so live and let live for today at least.

Thank you catster for my birthday wishes. I'm hoping to get extra treats this evening!

Happy Birthday to my brother (wished begrudgingly)

Well today is my brother, JP's birthday. He is two. With age has come no wisdom whatsoever. He is still as stupid as he ever was. The other day he ate some salt. Who eats salt? Can he not tell it tastes bad? Of course it made him ill all over the living room floor. Typical.

So today is his birthday. Everyone is making a fuss of him and I am being ignored. I hate his birthday.

However, there is a tin of tuna waiting for his birthday party tonight and half of it has my name on, so it's not all bad!

So Many Things....

Well so many things have been happening since I last wrote that I don't know where to start!

Well let's start with this, today is my birthday!! I'm 3 years old, so a proper qualified grown up cat. I don't think anyone really knows when my actual birthday is so it's today. My little brother JP is 2 years old on Thursday so apparently we're having a joint party on Friday....

Andy has bought a new camera - a Nikon D5000 whatever that means. He has taken some gorgeous photos of both me and JP so I'll get him to post them on my page later on.

The house has been moved around completely as well which is most disconcerting for a cat. I have had to remark all my territories. Sometimes I'm up all night doing it. It's tiring work for everyone because I don't think Rachel sleeps very well when I'm up all night buzzing around....

Basically they have moved the bedroom to the back of the house and turned the master bedroom into the office so there is more space downstairs. I think they have done this to stop JP chewing the wires, which is his new habit. Poor Rachel didn't have a laptop for weeks because he chewed through the wires and shortcircuited it. Honestly he has no respect for other people.

So that's it from me for today. I'm off to enjoy the rest of my birthday!

Baths

Well it happened. I did my absolute best to avoid it but I have had my annual bath. I have to admit I am very fluffy and shiny now and smell delicious.

But I do not like being wet. British Short Hairs are supposed to like water but personally I think liking water is demeaning. It is something dogs do. I am most certainly not a dog. Having said that once the initial shock was over it wasn't too bad. I quite enjoy having the shampoo massaged into my fur. That feel goooood.

My brother JP made a ridiculous fuss. I was just like "give it up buddy, they've got us", but he thought he could get away and he made a whole range of new noises that I'd never heard him make before and scratched Andy up pretty bad.

Stupid brother. At least he doesn't stink anymore.

Rachel says I look more beautiful than ever so maybe it isn't such a bad thing.

long time no write

Well I haven't written in a long time. Rachel is always on the computer and I never get any blogging time to myself. She's off doing something right now so I'm taking advantage to fill you in.

I'm still beautiful and still practicing standing on two legs. This morning I stood up on the bed on my haunches like a meerkat for about 2 minutes. Soon I will be walking around like people. Just need to keep practicing.

It's spring so it's moulting season. I guess my brother and I look a bit scraggy because of all the stray hair. We really need to get down to some serious grooming because Andy and Rachel are threatening to bathe us on Saturday. Do. Not. Want.

Speaking of my brother JP, he is still an idiot. Last week he chewed through a live wire under the bed and got and electric shock and banged his head on the bed and woke up the whole house. He's fine but really, what a fool!

My buddy Hazel Lucy has awarded me two zealies for spotting her in a photo competition. Thanks Hazel Lucy!!! :)

7. Color of collar: Pink. It's very girlie and I'd prefer it if I had a blue one, but Rachel says it makes me look pretty!

As promised I have added some new pictures of myself to my page. There is one of me and my brother JP watching the snow falling the other morning and one of me sitting in a chair. Don't I look purrrrrfect :)

Time for an Update!

Well I've been having a look at my Catster page and I think it's time Rachel took some more photos of me. There haven't been any photo updates since last summer and I'm so beautiful now, more so than ever, so I think it's time.

It looks like my brother hasn't had many updates photowise either. Most of the pictures on his page are of him as a kitten and he is nearly 18 months now. And huge. And fat. I try to make him run around more to lose some weight, sometimes I even try to bite him to get him to run around but he's just so lazy he's beyond hope. The vet told him he was overweight but he's not really losing weight even though Rachel put us both on a diet. I don't know what I'm going to do about him.

Rachel and Andy are off on holiday tomorrow. I think they are leaving us behind. I think that Rachel's parents are looking after us. I hope they know what to do properly. I am very fussy about my litter box.

Happy New Year Everycat!!

So it's 2010 now and I hope that everycat has a wonderful year. As for me I'm happy just as I am, although it is very cold here. I heard Andy and Rachel talking about leaving the heat on low overnight because it has got so cold. I hope they do. Last night I got so chilly I had to snuggle up with my brother and we all know how much I hate to do that.....

The holidays are over and everything is back to normal. Yesterday the Christmas Tree came down. Well, if I'm honest it was half down already because JP and I had climbed it in the night to get some of the silver balls off. Honestly, we couldn't resist it. That tree had been up for a month and we had tried really hard not to mess with it, just batting the baubles a little bit.... But we knew it was coming down so we see it as helping not mischeif making.

I don't think Rachel saw it that way though....
