Arrival Story:
Palsey was my brothers cat before he came to live with me. When Palsey was 7, my brothers fiancee brought a dog into the home, and Palsey hated the dog. Long story short, Palsey pee'd on her wedding veil (they didn't like each other, she's a dog person) and they were going to throw him out on the streets. I said NO way, and took him home with me that day.

Bio:
Palsey was diabetic for 3 years, and required a shot everyday. This was at a time when he weighed 22 pounds. He is now 7.5 pounds and has a hyper thyroid. He's gone from really fat to really skinny. I think for being nearly 16 years old, he is doing great. He is my baby boy!! We almost lost him a year ago in a diabetic episode. Fortunatly, I have a friend that is a vet tech, and she came over to help revive him. He made it, and is still kicking. He will be the king of this house until the kitty gods take him.

Pals-A-Wows - How'd I get that name??

Pals-A-Wows - How'd I get that name??

Well, to tell you the truth, my given name is either Calvin or Hobbs. My brother was taken back to the pound shortly after we got a home, so I was the lucky one. My old Dad (that's what I call him because he's really my uncle now) gave me the name Pals-A-Wows while doing the typical baby talk thing, trying to get me to come inside from playing in the garden. Ya know - "come here buddy, come how old buddy old pal. Oh good boy pals-a-wows." And it stuck. So there ya go - I'm a manly cat with a sissy name. Oh well, who cares, I'm still the oldest, smartest and favorite around the house. Don't get me wrong, mom and dad love all of us, but I am moms first baby, so will always be extra special.
How did I come to live with my current mom you ask. Well, my (previous) aunt Tiffany always loved me so much. Whenever she came for a vist we hung out, and she gave me good pettin's and treats. When my old daddy met his current wife (the evil Nancy), we didn't get along too well. Ya see, she's one of those "dog people". Nothing wrong with people who like dogs - but I personally HATE them, and will still kick dog A** if they come near me. (Hey just because I'm 16 doesn't mean I can't whoop some stupid mutt). Anyhow, Evil Nancy brought a puppy "Jack" into the house. He was a yellow lab, and not too bad when he was just a puppy. Well, except for the licking. My god, could his tounge have been any bigger, I swear I had a reverse mohawk up my back after that dog was done with me. Eventually, it got to be too much, and I knew I had to get out. As Evil Nancy and dads wedding day approached, Evil left her veil out one day, and I took my opportunity. Yep, I peed all over that thing!!! Well, that was it, I was gone. On Easter Sunday my aunt TIffany came over, and dad and Evil told her they were taking me to the pound. Aunt Tiff said NO WAY, and I had a (dog free) new home that night!!
