Today, I am going to write about making the trains run on time. Not the MTA, mind you. My Mommy is convinced that I have some sort of control over when her Blue Line Metro train arrives each morning (Blue cat. Blue Line. You can see the obvious connection.)
While Agador and I were able to convince her that cats have no control over the weather, we were not so successful with train situation. (I think this is because there is also an Orange Line and Agador was orange. However, I would like to point out that there is certainly no Brown and White Line, so either her theory is flawed or Puck is not a cat, both of which options I'm willing to consider.) Now, when the weather gets cold and the Blue Line arrives right as my Daddy is dropping her off at the station, she blames me. It is quite sad.
Daddy has not made this better as he insists that I am working on a logarithm to better align her variable departure time with the arrival of train. However, the truth is, I have not done the maths since my unfortunate re-calculation of the cubit during Agador's ark-building days. But perhaps I've said too much.
Suffice it to say, the MTA is the only train I have any power over and even then, I'm only an appointed official with an entire board of directors to whom I must answer (you see, the MTA receives funding from several jurisdictions, including North Upstairs, The Midlands, the Commonwealth of the South and the United Floors Government).
Perhaps some of my loyal readers can help in convincing her of her mistake....
