Bio:
I am a bit timid because I'm the baby in the family. I love my family and my extended family who come to visit, but strangers make me nervous. I run and hide. I am much bigger than my brother London, but not as brave. My family's mommy likes to call me tubby. I can speak. I say "no" when my family brushes me or trims my nails. I like to lay on my back sometimes. I am very lovable.

Scotland Yard's Thoughts on Life

My Brother Was Really Sick

My big brother London had to have a series of bad operations over the last month and a half. He has not been himself. I don't understand everything that has been happening, but I know that he would get into that big blue box and leave for a day to two. Then he comes back and smells funny. All he would do is lay around. Sometimes he wouldn't even go in his litter box.

Soon we had three litter boxes, one on every floor!! My owners told me that too much dry crunchy food had caused my brother to get stones in his tummy that wouldn't come out. Well, why was he eating stones with his food anyways. Seems stupid, if you ask me!! So now we can only have wet food. NO FAIR!!

My brother came home one day with a big blue bonnet-like thing on his neck and long black strings where his private area is. His fanny was all shaved. He had a NAKED REAR!! It was quite shocking. Everyone was following him all over the place and making him sleep with them in a room. Our whole house had plastic all over it. I actually thought this was kinda neat. My owners kept telling people that the "vet" had to remove his male private area and make a female private area for him. Did that mean that my brother was now my sister?!! I really didn't understand. My family still called London a "he." I'm too little to try and make sense of this. I don't care what my brother is, I just want him to play with me again.

My brother wasn't playing or anything. I was actually nervous to be around him. Within a week, I was able to give him kissies on the head. He still smelled funny and would leave every couple of days with my owners. Then he'd come back.

Another time, my owner snatched him and took him away. He stayed away for another whole day. When he came home, he seemed a little better.

Now he's almost back to himself. I don't ever want to get as sick as my brother. The bad thing about this whole thing is that we just had to get a bath this past weekend. YUCK!!! Thanks bro.

Take that, Kirstie Alley!!

I went for my annual checkup last week. This, after having to lose 4 pounds fall of 2005, which I did in only a few months.

I have been able to keep off the weight by remaining at 16 pounds for over a year!!

What's my secret, you ask? Less dry food; more wet food. It was that simple. No fancy meat diets or expensive special foods. Not even a reduction in my portions... just simply less dry food.

So, I say - take that, Kirstie Alley.

I had my yearly vet appointment today, Dec. 31. It has only been 4 and 1/2 months since my last weigh in where it was discovered that I had gained weight in six months.

Well - let me tell you .... I managed to lose 3 whole pounds in those few months just by not eating any dry food!! I was sooo excited. I thought - wow, now I can have my dry crunchy food back. But NOOO - the vet said to stay off it. If I continue to lose more than another 1/2 pound - I can increase my wet food only. He thinks I am at a good weight right now.

So there, Trim Spa, eat your heart out. I am a lean, mean 16 pound and 2 ounce cutie machine.

Just an FYI - I don't think my brother, Baron, has lost anything on his diet. I think he's gained. Of course, he's still cheating!! PORKER!!
