Arrival Story:
I went to the pound to adopt a cat because I finally had a place of my own after graduating from college and desperately missed having a pet. I initially wanted a kitten, but as I walked by Anna's cage, she stuck her front legs through the bars of her cage and wrapped them around my arm. She was so sick and pittiful, and I had to have her. I like to say she picked me, though! I guess she was ready for a real home, and I am so happy to have her!

Lazy days

My mom has been feeling sick over the last few days, and that means she sleeps almost as much as I do! I never understood how humans could get by without napping continuously throughout the day. I guess it's finally catching up with my mom! I love it because I get to curl up next to her and doze, too.

Back to normal ...

Whew! I'm so happy the holidays have gone away! Too many new people coming and going through our apartment - and for some reason, everyone just HAD to pet me. I know I'm cute, but there's only so much of me to go around!

My momma gave me some tuna fish today. It's about time! I've waited almost a whole month for the stuff. And, if you ask me, I should be fed tuna all the time.

The weather has been warm here, so Momma has been leaving the windows open in the livingroom - my favorite perch. I love to watch all the birds, and sometimes I even try to chirp like them. I think I'm doing just fine, but Momma laughs at me. I think she just wishes she could chirp like I do.

Time for ribbons and bows!

FINALLY!!!

I've been waiting all year for my momma to bring out all the fun ribbons and wrapping paper to play with, and today was the day!

As soon as I saw her pulling out the Christmas trimmings, I waited patiently by the closet door. As she laid out the wrapping paper, tissue paper, ribbons and bows, I plotted my attack. (I'm very smart that way, you know.)

As soon as Momma went into her bedroom to get the presents, I jumped at the chance to go wild! Into the wrapping paper I dove - burying myself in all the pretty trimmings. Nobody would find me ... well, except my momma, who always ruins my fun. Sure enough, she came around the corner and made me stop playing in her things.

So, as she wrapped the gifts, I sat patiently (as I always do) ... waiting for the perfect opportunity to jump into that glorious wrapping paper! I got my chance a couple other times, but it was over all too soon.

I can only hope there are more presents to be wrapped! I love Christmastime!!!!
