Quick Bio:

Birthday:
June 4th 2007

Coloration:
Black and White

Likes:
Stewie loves to play and wrestle with his brother. He loves the water and watching the birds and squirrels out the window.

Pet-Peeves:
The VET! His behavior is so violent that the vet has to sedate him the second we walk in the door! Stewie doesn't always care for new people and he really dislikes the cable guy.

Favorite Toy:
He loves his ratty old "baby" and chasing the laser pointer.

Favorite Nap Spot:
The window sill is his favorite spot but you can also find him on top of the microwave or the audio cabinet. If he's not allowed to be in it, or on it, that's where you will usually find him sleeping!

Favorite Food:
Stewie's not allowed to eat people food- but he goes crazy over oatmeal(thanks to our old roommate), and he loves to get into the baked goods especially the bread and cereal!

Skills:
Stewie is a paper shredder. He is obsessed with paper and will shred it in an form( tissues, paper towels, tissue paper). He can shred a dozen rolls of toilet paper in minutes. Stewie has also perfected his nite-time assaults on his mama!

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story:
Stewie's mom was rescue. She was very sick when we found her and it didn't take long before we realized she was also pregnant. She was just a baby herself (about 5 mos old) but she was a very good mommy to her three kittens. Stewie is "special needs" and his brother Homer is his best buddy. They were always very attached to each other making it nearly impossible to seperate them so they remained together with me!

Bio:
Stewie displayed a variety of "quirks" from the time he was born including bouts of narcolepsy. When he was ten weeks old he escaped the house and climbed to the top of a tree. After several minutes of being dive- bombed by birds Stewie passed out and fell out of the tree breaking his pelvis. During a follow-up appointment at the vet's it was determined that Stewie had been suffering from neurological damage since birth. Noone who knew him was surprised by this! :) His behavior continued to be erratic- the vet compared him to a brain damaged child with no impulse control. Some of his other "behaviors" turned out to be mild seizures. He can be a very sweet boy and he can be the most defiant, stubborn animal you'd ever meet. He does love his Mama but is otherwise unpredictable. Some people he is fine with, and others he attacks. We eventually resorted to medicating Stewie and it has really helped. He is still my naughty boy at times but his demeanor has improved. Even though he can be exhausting- he's worth the time and energy! In Early Aug 2010 Stewie suddenly took a turn for the worst. The vet believed he developed a resistence to his meds and, short of medicating him into a vegetative state, there was nothing more to be done. Stewie crossed the rainbow bridge on Aug 04, 2010. We miss him everyday.
