Arrival Story:
She was my brother's first cat. We got her from a rescue in Ben Lomond, CA. We saw an add that was a for a 8 month old Siamese. We got up there and found out she was a not a Siamese but a Ragdoll. Her rescuer wasn't sure and decided she was pointed like a Siamese so that was close enough. We certainly weren't going to have driven 2 hours and up half a mountain in the rain to not come home with a cat.
Bio:
She was named Yum Yum from the Cat Who Books. She had fallen from a closet when she was at the rescuer's (not the person's fault) so she had back problems her whole life. This ended up with her needed a monthly grooming and shaving. So she often looked like a lion with only heavy fur on her head, legs and the tip of her tail. She lived to be 8 years old. She died from UTI troubles on 9/28/05.
