Birthday: July 14th 2008 Coloration: Chocolate Likes: I love to steal bottle caps from Mom and Dad so I can play bottle cap hockey. Pet-Peeves: I don't like it when Mom or Dad hold me for to long. Can't sit still. Favorite Toy: I like to carry around little foam balls and play with any toy that makes a lot of noise. Favorite Nap Spot: My favorite nap spot is in my Dad's computer chair and it is even better if Milo is there with me. Favorite Food: I really like the wet food we get as a treat. Skills: Milo is teaching me how to open drawers and climb very high. Dwells:
indoors Arrival Story: Our oldest furchild Mea crossed to the bridge in January 2009. My husband and I decided a while back that we wanted to keep our fur family at four (two boys and two girls) so we knew we wanted to get another kitten sometime in the future.
Just out of the blue, I decided to check the classified listings of our local newspaper on-line and saw an ad for Siamese kittens. When my husband called to inquire about the kittens he was told that they had one female and they e-mailed him a photograph of her.
It was love at first sight. We went to see her that night and brought her home to be part of our family. Bio: Mimu has really taken to her Big Brother Milo. He is teaching her everything he knows and she has taught him how to carry around a ball. Miko still hisses at her a little and Mikki hisses at all of them. When Mikki hisses Mimu talks back to her. She is definitely a talker. She talks to herself the whole time she is playing.
She is just learning how to interact with humans as she was brought up in a cattery for 7 months. She is becoming more affectionate as time goes on. Yes, I was yeowling mad when Mom scooped me up and put me in the carrier to take me to the vets on Wednesday. She said I made up for Milo being so easy. I yeowled and growled and hissed from the minute she scooped me up until she let me out of that box at the vets. How dare she upset my world.
When we got to the vets everyone came to see my pink nose and love on me. I guess all the extra loving made me forgive Mom just a little for taking me away from home. I got my check-up and shots just like my brothers and then we came back home. I was quiet on the ride home. I was a little worn out from all the yeowling I did on the way there.
Mom and Dad got a break on Thursday because the vets didn't have any appointments available so they had to wait until Friday to take Molokai. Got run now so he has a chance to tell you all about how that went.
..we have another brother. Now the boy cats outnumber the girl cats in this house. Us girls think that is just so unfair!!!
Mom and Dad took him to see the vet last night and she said he should stay away from us for at least 8 weeks since he was a stray that was hanging out with a feral cat they think that we should wait to meet him until after he is retested for FeLV and FIV. Mom and Dad have given him the upstairs so he has 2 bedrooms and a bath to roam around in.
Mom said she is hoping to have his page up by Friday night but in the meantime she said I can tell you a little about our new brother. He is an orangie with white on his face, chest and all 4 paws. Mom and Dad named him Molokai Timmy. I'll let him tell you the story behind the name. Molokai is 11.9 lbs. according to the vet.
Mom says he seems to be a very loving boy that purrs a lot but there is one thing we need to put a stop to. He BITES. He bit Mom the first night he was here and he tried to bite Mom and the vet tech last night. Mom is hoping that he is just doing this out of fear because of all the recent changes in his life.
Need to go and check out my new brofur from under the door. Please keep an eye out for his page and send him a furiend invite, if you see him before he sees you ;)
I have been released from the vets. Still no meow. The vet drew blood and the in house labs showed nothing. Still waiting on the outside labs. The vet is a little puzzled but said it could me just a virus. If it is a virus they said it must just run its course. They said I had lost a little weight and I was a little dehydrated. They gave me Sub-Q fluids and sent me home.
Mom had some antibiotics at home so she started me on those and is going to continue giving them to me and see if my voice improves. I did not have a fever when I went to the vets but I was really warm yesterday.
The outside labs will be back tomorrow and we will see if they find anything. Mom doesn't think they will.
Thank you all for your comments. Will let you know how long it takes me to find my meow.
