First off, my typist wanted to say thank you to everyone who remembered Charlie's birthday and left gifts on his page. She and my momma have been very sad missin da little guy.
A couple days ago, I got all groomed. I used to hate getting brushed, but I love it now. I really like when the humans use the stripping comb - it is supposed to be for the dogs since they are terriers and have wiry hair, but it is really great at getting out all the old fur. And there was quite a lot of it! I felt really good after I got it down and the people were saying I felt even softer than usual.
Me and Maurice have been getting along better. He still wants to play too much for my liking, but he's been getting the dogs and the humans to play with him more and leaving me alone, which I like.
We know how sad it can be when we lose one of your special sweet furry babies...it is never easy, we say take the time to be sad and grieve...
Now for brushing getting brushed is one of my favorite things to have done to me...maybe now that you know how good it feels it will be for you too...and it makes furs so soft too...
Glad you and Maurice are getting along better...sometimes it just takes time, but then again...well who knows!!!
hugs to you all and know we have you all in our prayers...we miss sweet Charlie!!!!
Meowmy only has to tap the brush on the counter and we come running...she even hung up a bigger brush in such a way that we can rub on it...but we shun those 'self-grooming' commercial ones, MOL!
Brushing feels so good!
Still purring for you and your sad furmily...
We get groomed with a stainless steel groomer's comb. I need it every day too! MOL!
Sending lots of purrs...
Sorry we missed Charlies b-day, you know why.
I HATES gettin' brushed. I will fight anyone, no matter big, who dares to come near me wif a comb or brush......and I ALWAYS win....lol
I don't care much for brushing, and I don't sit still. But I always get a treat afterward so it's all worth it.
Still thinking of you and your loss.
On me, Mom uses the Greyhound comb that she used to use on Bear in his show cat days. It's kind of nice, like a little massage, and it gets out the dry, split hairs, so I feel softer like you do, Jez. But she says it's like playing a washboard when she runs it down my spine. Boy, I'm getting to be a bony cat.
