As I wrote about in my last entry, my meow was disappearing. It started sounding like a funny quack instead of my normal super-loud meow. Then for a couple days it was completely gone. I would open my mouth to meow but no noise would come out. It was so humiliating! I'm normally a VERY loud cat - I have a Siamese-like meow and I sure do like using it. So not being able to meow was horrible. But somehow, those people did remember to feed me anyway. But then my meow started coming back, quiet at first but it is getting louder and more back to normal now. I am so happy to have my MEOW back!!
We had a visitor this week, it really wasn't all that interesting to me. Except that while the human guy's mother was here, I was not allowed to eat my Fancy Feast on the table. That was annoying, but the humans sat with me while I ate to make sure no dogs stole it. Now I can get back on the table - hee hee!
Glad you have your meow back! My meow is faint today. For the past 2 nights we have had bad bad bad storms. Mama usually isn't scared but she was even scared. Bad lightning, thunder, hard downpours. Mama was worried about me because I was truly terrified. I meowed and meowed and cried and cried. Mama did everything she could to comfort me. So now my meow is faint because she guesses I overdid my meows during the storms! I usually don't act like that during a storm, but these 2 storms were awful! I hope we don't have anymore like that for a long time! Sorry to be so long!
Hugz and purrs, Sassy
Glad you got your meow back, Jezebel. I wish I could find mine. Mom says I sound like a hoarse duck (a CUTE hoarse duck) -- but mine is that way all the time.
Happy you found your meow again, Jezebel. And also that you're eating at your usual spot again. *purrs*
The last company we had was my uncle G & his family. When mom fed me up on the counter by the sink, one of the kids kept asking, "Why is that cat on the counter?" Mom explained that I won't eat with another cat near me so this was my safe eating spot. Then that little human kept making hissing & growling noises at me trying to scare me to jump down! Humph! Good thing I'm deaf! Mol!
~hugs & love~

Hey Jez, I am so happy that your voice can be heard loud and clear again! A Queen like you should never be silenced! I love how our families try to be on their best behavior when visitors are around. My Mommy got busted when she gave someone brownies she had made that had my hair baked in! Oops!!! MOL!!!!!! Glad you've got your spot on the table back!
