Skills:
Expert at manipulation . As he ages he has learnt the art of asking to be let in the door and then hovering for a long time before he finally makes the decision to enter. Meanwhile mosquitos and all sorts of nasty bugs make their entrance.

Dwells:
indoors and outdoors

Arrival Story:
Rusty belonged to an elderly couple who for health reasons were unable to look after him. Since he was such a beautiful cat the owners of a cattery kept him in a cat run and their own home for two months while he waited for a loving owner. My previous cat, who died at age 20, could never be fully replaced but Rusty has cemented his special place as a much loved family pet. Rusty was adopted with his handsome feline mate Teddy.

Bio:
Rusty has an adorable easy-going nature even though he is a fairly large cat and looks like a bit of a bruiser. He is very cautious and likes to check things out before acting. The longer he lives in his second home the more adventurous he becomes. He tends to watch Teddy (his mate), digest what he sees, then perhaps weeks later try that task. He has a strange habit (which seems a bit like a phobia) of not wanting to walk over some mats. If he has to do it he will rush, then give a funny type of skip, leap in the air and then run! It is quite comical to watch.

Meow, I just feel so good now!!!
A couple of weeks ago I had a nasty blockage in my bladder or my tubes and was straining and straining with no result. It was very, very painful. Luckily my mistress keeps a close watch on me and put me in that dreaded cage and took me to the vet. They watched for a while and then, horror of horrors put a catheter into my bladder to drain the urine (under anaesthetic thank goodness). Then they put a big collar around my neck to stop me pulling out the tube.......... but in the dark of night I got it out!!!!!! They were a bit annoyed but very amazed ...... they're not really sure how I did it.... I thought I was very clever. The next things they forced into me were antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory medication - that awful antibiotic made me nauseous, made me vomit and gave me diarrhoea - I'm usually very greedy but the smell and sight of food just turned me off!!! But good news now - I'm on a new diet to help stop crystals forming and keep the pH levels right.............

I feel like a super cat now..........
