It's party time!

Hi everyfur!

I wanted to invite you all to a birthday party.

Toulouse is throwing a big bash for our favorite boa-rockin Meezer, Frankie Sinatracat!

It will be in the Party Time & Virtual Play Date forum tomorrow afternoon.

It will be from 4pm-9pm Eastern time & the theme is Hawaiian!

So stop by to wish him a happy birthday & maybe even enjoy a luau!

You know this has to be one of our favorite holidays, being that mom has a wee bit O'Irish in her.

So to wish you all a happy St. Patrick's Day we wanted to share on of mom's favorite Irish Blessings with all our furriends!

Trip to the V-e-t-s

Well mom drug me to the vets again!

You see I started kinda hiding & have been throwing up a lot of foamy type stuff. So she whisked me away.

They weighed me & said I was 8 pounds. The last actual weight they had on me was about 4 years ago & I weighed 10 pounds. But the vet said a 2 pound weight loss in 4 years wasn't very concerning but if I lose more it could be.

Mom was shocked that it had been 4 years since they had weighed me. I've been in there several times since then. mol

Well they said my temperature was normal & they took some blood for what they called a Geriatric Panel. They put me on some Laxatone to help in case I have furballs & some antibiotics.

The blood work came back & the vet said it's not to the warning level but it is something we need to be monitoring.

Mom isn't exactly sure what these numbers mean but here they are:

He said the liver ones were fine but the kidney ones were a bit elevated.

BUN was 42 he said normal is around 25.

Creatnine was 2.2 and he said normal was around 1.8

So they aren't super elevated, but enough he wants me on a KD type of diet. I'm not fond of the food though. So mom isn't sure what to try.

They vet said my two top "fangs" are trying to come out & I should get them removed along with two teeth in the back. He said that might be why I'm not eating real well because it hurts.

But now that we know my kidney levels are up he said we'd have to make sure I had lots of fluid before, during & after any use of anesthesia so it would help my kidneys get rid of it better.

Mom isn't sure when she can have them remove those teeth. She's hoping within a month, but feels horrible that I'm hurting in the mean time. She's actually living with a couple of bad teeth that need pulled herself & she says she wouldn't wish that on anyone or anyfur! mol

So if you could spare a few purrs for me when you think of it I'd appreciate it. I'm not doing bad, but could be better.

Halloween Tag!

I've been tagged by Zeeke! I just have to name my five favorite things about Halloween.

1. The electric atmosphere outside! I love to watch the leaves skitter down the road.

2. All the yummy treats mom gives us! Mmm cool whip from on top of a pie is delish!

3. Seeing all the spooky costumes the little ones wear when they knock on the door.

4. Hiding under the bed when those spooky kids come to the door. MOL

5. Looking at all the neat pages my fellow Catsters come up with!

A heavy heart

I found out today that my beautiful Princess Missy has gone to the Bridge.

It caught everyone unawares & her family is devastated.

She was a wonderful lady & deserved every bit of spoiling she received. I only wish I could have spoiled her even more!

I know she is in pawsome company & is no doubt having a fabulous time.

Our purrs & prayers go out to her family & brofurs & sisfurs during this very sad time.

I love you Missy & I will miss you.

I'm 12!

OMC I can't believe I'm 12 years old!

Today is kinda bittersweet for mom. While it is a pawsome day because it's my birthday!

It's also the day her Grandma passed away 8 years ago. She still really, really misses her. She was really the only grandparent mom ever knew. She knows she will see her again one day & that makes her happy.

Tonight mom is giving us all soft food in honor of my birthday! **claps paws**

I wanted to send out some thank yous to my friends as well!

Well I think it's almost dinner time so I better go start reminding mom it's a birthday dinner tonight!

A pressie from my Princess!

OMC I am so excited!

Mom came in yesterday with a package just for me from my girl, the beautiful Princess herself, Missy!

Then the package squeaked! Can you believe it?

I quickly opened it and found a love note from my girl, and a pawsome new Squeaking Mousie!

She said she has one just like it and it's her fave! I can see why it's very cool!

Well I had to give it a thorough sniffing over, then all of a sudden I hugged it to me and started giving it a bath! Mom thinks it's because I was acting like it was Missy herself. mol

That is a pawsome mousie, my girl has excellent taste that's for sure, but then a beautiful Princess would, wouldn't she!

Thank you my gorgeous lady, I shall treasure it always and think of you whenever I see it or play with it....or bathe it. mol

A package from my girl!

I am so excited! I got a package from my beautiful lady Missy!

When mom brought it in to me I had been taking a nap, but once she told me who it was from I woke up quick and began sniffing the package!

Then I had mom open it for me and inside were some of the most delicious treats I've ever had! Then she pulled out a little furry crinkle toy, just for me!!!

I immediately sniffed and pawed it like any good hunter would. Then I saw where Missy had written me a message! Wow! You just can't get any better than that!

The only trouble came when mom was turned away to put new batteries in her camera. That's when it happened! My big butted sisters Oly and Mercy along with that little bratty kitten Rico jumped up on the bed and attacked my treats and package!

The nerve! I yelled at mom and she turned and snapped a picture of them! Ha! Caught red pawed. I told mom she should sentence them to night in the bathroom, but she said she couldn't do that.

One day justice will prevail in this house! In the mean time I am just so happy that my sweetie thought of me!
