The whole Kit N Kaboodle

**erp** Oh my, excuse me!

I've been having quite a time with the new food mom brought home for us.

It's one of those times that things were a bit lean, between checks so she got some food she used to feed kitties years ago.

It has made me so sick that she now feels uber guilty! **giggle** It seems it makes me toss my cookies everywhere! Now I know that can happen, but really, it's quite embarrassing when I know my handsome Catloaf is reading my diary. **blushes**

Mom pawmised she'd never buy that food again. And Tuesday we will be back to our regular food. Purina Cat Chow Indoor. It still makes us a bit erpy but is by far the easiest on our tummies within our budget.

She wishes she could get us the really good stuff, but it's hard to know what that is anymore. Sadly if it's over 20 bucks a big bag, we don't get it.

Cheapskate mom!!! I told her she needs to kick out all those freeloaders & keep me & buy me the good stuff. Tiki Cat every night bay-bay!

*sigh* But she keeps telling me they're not freeloaders, they're my fursibs & I'm stuck with them! Well fine, but I know that stray she brought in a month ago (who was only supposed to stay for a week) is NOT a fursib, but she sure cuddles up to mom & Grandmom like she is! **Pfft**

Maybe I need to take special aim at mom's pillow next time my food disagrees with me. MOL

We will miss you Arnold P

Oh friends we are so very sad today. We learned that our dear friend Arnold P has made his journey to the Bridge.

We know he has been sick & him & his mom have been going through a rough time.

Arnold will always hold a very special place in our hearts. He & Moose were both look a likes to our angel Shamus.

I know his mom is going through so much right now & we hurt for her & wish we were there so we could hug her. But we know she made the right decision. And that is always something our pawrents struggle with.

Our thoughts & prayers are with you Ruth. We love you & will be here anytime you need us. Thank you for sharing Arnold with us & letting us come to love him too.

It's party time!

Purrs needed

Hi everyfur,

I wanted to ask you all to please purr for my mom's niece Leslie.

Leslie is the meowmy of Tigress & Josie on here.

This past Friday she started having horrible pain from her hip down her right leg. She said it would go numb & she couldn't sit & could barely walk.

She had been visiting family & was staying there because a mini family reunion was the next day. Well around 3 in the morning it got too much & she drove herself back home (an hour's drive) and went to the ER.

The doctor there said she thought it was Sciatica & gave her 6 pain pills to last the weekend & sent her home with instructions to see her regular doc on Monday.

That entire weekend she could nothing but lay down. When mom talked to her on the phone she could hear the pain & when Leslie had to get up for some reason she was actually screaming & yelping in pain. It made mom so mad at that ER doctor! She should have kept her & given her the proper pain meds.

Well early Monday morning Leslie was at the end of her rope so she had her husband call the paramedics & they took her back to the hospital.

They admitted her & did a MRI which showed she had 2 discs herniated and one was ruptured.

She's on pain meds & Prednisone right now. Today is the second day of her being in the hospital.

I just finished talking to her & she sounds more "with it." She is still getting something called Dilauded (unsure on the spelling) by IV as needed for pain. They switched her from Lortab to Percocet every 6 hours and are continuing with the Prednisone.

She had her first meeting with physical therapy today & has to use a walker. They couldn't do much because she still cannot sit, but says walking is better with having the walker. She will remain in the hospital for at least a few more ...days while they work to get her pain under control. Her regular doctor & the surgeon agreed that once she feels the pain is more manageable & she is off the Dilauded they will release her home.

She will then have outpatient physical therapy & will be sent home with the walker. If the pain is not better within a month they will check her over again & see what the next step should be.

She's very worried about work (ironic she's in the hospital she works at lol) and doesn't yet know when she'll be able to return. I told her that she needs to focus on getting better & the PT and leave the work situation in the Lord's hands.

I read her all the comments on here & Catster & she was blown away at all the love that came through. Some we giggled over & it was good to hear her laugh. She said to tell you all thank you so much! When she is able to sit up better she will most likely get on her lap top & do some updates, but that will probably be a while. I will be sure to keep you all posted on how she is doing.
