In Time out

In time out, that is what Mom says I am in. I think it means I am in trouble. Something about Dad's favorite fish. In the big fish tank there is a very nice fish Dad calls a 'Pleco'. It is my favorite too. What an awesome fish! It will just sit there with its middle fin up like a little dragon. I try to get at it through the glass (which never works, by the way) and it FLIES off to the back of the tank and disappears behind some plants. I love playing with that fish, but Mom says I am going to "give the poor thing a heart attack". Heart attack-smart-attack. Why is it that all the fun things are off limits? I really think she just sits around and thinks up rules just to make my life boring. What does she think I am going to do, play with that overgrown klutz of a dog? It's not like they let me outside. I did have a nice time in the sun yesterday, smelling the air and watching the birds. I am surprised she lets me do that. I wonder how long she is going to make me sit in this corner. Parents just don't understand.

You should also read my comrade in arms page (my brother Kenny). For some reason our parents think that the dogs need beds. That is what the FLOOR is for, isn't it? I do concede that we get to sleep on the big bed in the room upstairs, but that IS our bed too. We actually own all the beds and just allow the parents and others to use them. We aren't unreasonable. There is a limit to the bed madness though. That is why Kenny and I are reclaiming the beds that the dogs are using. Afterall, they are just dogs.

I thought I would sneak in here and get in an entry before my afternoon nap. Kenny is off policing Sadie and David is asleep on his bed, so I have the office to myself. Earlier I was at the back patio door watching the birds. Mom has a bunch of feeders right there so I always have lots of them watch. We aren't allowed out there. Mom says it is too dangerous. Sometimes she takes me out with a harness on. I don't mind it as long I can explore the herb garden. I smell so nice afterwards! Kenny doesn't like the harness, so he has to stay in. That was during the nice summer weather. Now it is dark and rainy and I like the window just fine. We also have a big aquarium right next to the arm of the couch. I can lay there for hours and watch the fish. Sometimes I get in trouble when I try to catch them. My parents call it the "Ollivision" because I spend so much time watching it. I help Mom feed the fish, too. We have more than one tank, but I like the big one the best. There is a "Pleco" fish in there that I just love. I also love treats. Mom has them on her bathroom counter by the tub (where Kenny likes to drink from). Every morning I run in there and wait for a treat. I even sit up and beg-Mom really loves that and will give me a second treat! She is so easily amused. I love her though, and give her kisses. Uh-oh...somebody is coming! Gotta Go!
