Arrival Story:
I picked Lucky out of a box of free kittens years ago, along with her "sister" Ripley. I reached in, and there came Lucky sitting in the palm of my hand! She was so tiny and perfect, I had to take her home with me. Lucky was beautiful, she had lovely stripes and even had orange on her fur. She was unique and a sweet kitten, that grew up into a big cat. We had a lot of fun together, and she was very friendly to everyone. Lucky has been gone for a long time now, but I still can see her in my mind and my heart. We miss her and loved her so much. I wish she was still here. She died at the age of almost 16, of Liver Cancer. Lucky had a long happy life until she got sick. She fought her illness for many months, until she could fight no more. Lucky was brave and she didn't want to leave us. I admired her strength and courage.

Lucky was a smart cat. She could play "ball" and bring the ball back to you. Once she even stuck her paw down a drain, to get her ball out of it. She was very clever. I once saw Lucky climb a apple tree, to bring me the eggs of a Robin. She never dropped the eggs. I never had another cat know how to do that. If I could remember anything about Lucky, it would be that she and I were the best of friends no matter what happened. I loved her. Lucky is 6 months old in the photo where she is in a bean bag chair getting ready to pounce. I think of her still, and its been almost 7 years since she died.
