Many moons ago, I was looking for a companion for Bela, and it had to be just the right cat. I didn't feel a spark with any kitty I had met until I saw pictures of a one-year old that needed a home of her own. She was so cute: a redhead with white socks and a pretty white bib. Who could resist?
She loves being with other cats, and when I met her she seemed quite sociable but independent. The spark I felt was rather small, but I had a good feeling about her, so I took her home. She warmed up to Bela immediately and she follows him everywhere (he's not so fond of that, but he appreciates the company and the affection). Now they wrestle and cuddle and hang out with each other all day long.
I had to work with her a lot to calm her fears and help her realize that this is her home, and I am here to cater to her whims. She was so used to being "just another cat" in a multi-cat household, being in charge was new to her.
She's got the sweetest personality. It matches her looks. And she cuddles really well. I'm looking forward to having her with me for a long time.
Bio:
Update: Chantilly has blossomed into the most adoreable and lovey kitty ever. She likes to climb in my lap for a tummy rub, and provides backup singing when I whislte a tune. Bela taught her how to "wave" with both paws to get a treat, and she expecially loves when I make baked chicken or bring home sushi.
