Updates for me!

Well, it has been a while since I posted anything, but so far things are going good. I went to the vet on Saturday for my first blood test since I went on my new medicine, and things are looking pretty good. I gained about a pound and a half - which is good. I am now at 12.25 lbs! My mom has gotten me a new crunchy food - it is high protein/no grain food. It is pretty good, but I have to say I prefer junk food to healthy food. For the canned food she is giving me a mix of my old favorites and high protein/no grain food. I have to say I prefer the old favorites.

I heard her talking and I think I am going to go back on the amoxicillin today, in addition to the prednisone and leukeran. I hate how it tastes but it does always make me feel a lot better so I guess that is worth it.

The other good news is that my fur is starting to grow back. So my bald spots will hopefully be gone soon. I just hope they don't have to shave me again any time soon (or ever). I hate it, even though I act like an angel when they do it.

Kirzon has been very friendly lately - he keeps wanting to sleep near me and snuggle. I tolerate it because it is my job as the big brother, but sometimes I need my space and he is in my way. Virgil has gotten calmer around me - he had gotten more nervous after he got fixed but he is back to normal now. I guess that is good but now he tries to play with my tail when I am walking and it makes me crazy.

Anyway, I will keep you posted on what is going on. I am pretty sleepy now and want to take a nap before dinner.

Talk to you later!!!

The people are making me crazy!

So yesterday my mom took me to this vet specialist - they are trying to find out what is wrong with me. They did what they called a scope - I don't remember it at all though. I do remember that they had to shave my leg to give me an IV - I remember because I now have another bald patch. Fun! I don't know why they are so worried- I feel ok. I guess because I lost a bunch of weight.

They talked about me while I was sitting there all goofy from the medicine, and I remember they said they would know something on Thursday. I am not sure when it is but I hope it is soon, because I am sick and tired of all these tests.

The good thing is my mom got me some new crunchy food - I guess it is the special kind that is "low residue" - whatever that means. It is pretty good and since I am so hungry all the time I will eat pretty much anything.

For some reason Virgil is really mad at me or scarred of me or something. I think I still smell like that vet place. Hopefully he will calm down soon, but he is so mad he is even getting angry at the people about me. I guess that is how baby cats are - crazy!

I will let you guys all know when I have some more info. For now I think I am going to see if there is any of that special food left in the kitchen.

Later everyone!!

Stupid People!

So last week my mom took me to the vet for this test and they shoved a big old needle in my liver to take a tiny piece out - I hated it! But yesterday the doctor called my mom and told her that my liver was a bit inflamed and that I had mild hepatits in addition to my pancreatitis - which they had talked about before sticking me - so really did they need to do it at all? Maybe people aren't as smart as cats.

I heard her on the phone and she was talking about another test that I have to have - something called a "scope" - I don't know what it is - I have heard the word before but they were talking about some stinky blue liquid that they drink and then spit out. I know mom is taking the day off for it and I have a bad feeling that it is going to be a long trip in the car - and I HATE the car. Mainly the carrier. My goofy little brother will willing go in it but I hate it. I have this weird food that mom keeps giving me - she took away our crunchy food but now we get the squishy food three times a day - I am not sure which way I prefer. Speaking of food I hear her calling my little sister so it must be dinner time - I have yucky pink medicine but then I get to eat! Goody!!!

Gotta go!!!!
