Dear Friends and Fans of Princess Sugar Pie,

I wanted to let y'all know that I'm feeling much better now. I'm able to visit my adoring Friends and Fans wherever I go and also visit Healthcare facilities again. For a while, I wasn't up to doing those things, but my Human Daddy, his family and all my adoring Friends and Fans are so happy that I'm back to my old self again. On October the 3rd, I went out and visited people at the Annual 2009 Fall Celebration at Robert Tino's Festival in Sevierville. I had a good time at the Celebration and made lots of Friends, including Bill Landry; the host of WBIR TV10's "Heartland Series" which ran for 25 years before its' final segment aired in September. He was the Guest Speaker at the festival and Daddy and me were able to visit with Bill for a brief time after he spoke. I was able to give him an autographed photo of me after showing him my "Tricks Routine". WBIR TV10 is special to me because they ran a segment about my visiting Pigeon Forge Care and Rehab Center back in April of 2008.

My Human Daddy bought a Video Camera a few days before the Tino Festival and he began shooting videos of me to put on my Catster Page and on YouTube. Also, I even started visiting my old Friends and Fans at the Smoky Mountain Flea Market which was great too! It was good to feel alive again!

On November the 5th, I was able to make it to the Annual 2009 Sevier County Humane Societies "Champagne Auction" where items from Oil and Watercolor Paintings to Antiques are auctioned off to help raise money for the Sevier County Animal Shelter. I do all I can to help spread the word about adopting Cats and Dogs and let people know that I once was a homeless feral kitten. Prior to the Champagne Auction, I visited the Comedy Barn in Pigeon Forge where the Sevier County Humane Society had a party for "Miss. Ellie" who raised thousands of dollars for the Humane Society. I did all I could to spread the word on my "Twitter Page" for everyone to vote for Miss Ellie in the "Cutest Dog in America" Contest. She was in first place in the Semifinals but placed 5th overall in the finals. I was disappointed that she didn't win First place but that happens sometimes. For each vote that Miss. Ellie received, $1.00 dollar was donated to the Sevier County Humane Society. Eventhough, she didn't win the Million Dollars, the $25,000 dollars went a long way towards helping the Shelters operating costs. That made me very happy to see the money put to good use!

On Christmas Eve of 2009, My Human Daddy took me to visit the Mountain Brook Retirement Village located in Sevierville and the Pigeon Forge Care and Rehab Center located in Pigeon Forge. It had been a while since my last visit and it was so good to see all of my Adoring Friends, Fans, Staff Members, Patients and permanent Residents at both of my favorite Healthcare Facilities. I hadn't realized that I was Loved and missed so much until this visit and it made me feel so wonderful inside my dainty "Kitty Cat" body. My Daddy says that I have that effect on Human Beings. I'm just giving back the Love and attention that I seem to get from Humans. I guess that my Daddy had something to do with that when he rescued me.

The Mountain Brook Retirement Village and The Pigeon Forge Care and Rehab Center are very special to me because they are where I had my first TV interviews on WVLT TV8 & WBIR TV10. I really enjoyed my visits during December and my Human Daddy couldn't get over how much I had missed visiting all those people at both places who claim how happy I make them. It's good to do the things that I love doing again! I still don't understand why everyone makes such a fuss over me though! Until Next Time! Ciao, Meow and Bye Yeow!

Dear Friends and Fans of Princess Sugar Pie,

I just wanted to let y'all know that I'm feeling so much better now. Those yearly vaccinations nearly had me walking over to the "Rainbow Bridge" and I'm glad that didn't happen. Yet, I have so much more work to do with my Daddy before we leave this world. On Sunday, he took me out for the first time, in a while, to visit some of my Friends and Fans at the Smoky Mountain Flea Market. It was a good visit and I got to see a lot of my old friends there. On Wednesday, this "Little Cowgirl" went with Daddy and his Brother, Rick, to the Grand Opening of Mountain National Bank at the Old Newport Highway's location. Of course, I wore my "Famous Cowgirl" hat for the occasion. I wear that outfit everywhere. Mr. Clint from Clint's Restaurant was serving hot dogs, cole slaw and baked beans there at the bank. All of the money donated from the meals went to the "Sevier County Humane Society". My adopted Daughter named Gypsy came from the SCHS Little Friends Adoption Agency so the Humane Society is special to me and my Human Family. I am sort of a "Spoks Cat" and occasionally attend the annual SCHS Champaigne Auction. I also put plugs in for some ASPCA Agencies and Feral Cat Societies too. I enjoy helping those organizations out whenever I can.

Before leaving the Bank's Grand Opening, I met many new Friends and Fans there plus saw a lot of old Friends too. I petted a puppy dog and a couple of cute kittens that were up for adoption. I even let one of the kittens play with my Jumbo Toothbrush and Stuffed Basset Puppy that I carry around. I will grab my Basset Puppy and hold him when a Fan hands him to me. I also brush my teeth most every day with my Jumbo Toothbrush. Those are just some of the tricks that I can do. When I got home, I was ready to take my Noon Cat Nap. After I had my nap, my Daddy got the laser light out and played with Gypsy and me. It's good to feel better again. I have so much to do other than be sick! I should be able to visit some of my Healthcare Facilities very soon. Also, I would like to meow "Thank You" again to all of my "Well Wishers" for their love, prayers and zealie gifts. That was so sweet. I've never had so many people and feline friends pulling for me before and it makes me feel needed, loved and so much better. Until next time, Ciao, Meow and bye Yeow.

Daddy had to take me back to see Dr. Dennis because of my- allergic reaction!

Dear Friends and Fans of Princess Sugar Pie,

On Tuesday August the 11th, Daddy took me back to see my Veterinarian, Dr. Dennis at his "Animal Clinic". I was still feeling sick to my stomach from my allergic reaction to my recent vaccinations last week. When Dr. Dennis saw me he gave me a shot of "Reglin"to calm my stomach and some "Flagyl" tablets to calm my bowels. When Daddy got me back home, I would not take the tablets at all, so he had to go back to see Dr. Dennis and get me some liquid medicine. It is imperative that I take this medicine to get well. Even though I don't like it's taste very much because it makes me drool and cry, my Daddy will make sure that I take it; like it or not! I really want to get to feeling better because I love my Daddy very much and he along with my family as well as my many adoring friends and fans all want me to get well. I want to thank everyone for their get well wishes too. I'm glad and so happy that I was able to survive this terrible ordeal. Well, I'd better go and take my afternoon nap now! Until next time, Ciao, Meow and bye Yeow!

I had an allergic reaction to my vaccinations and almost- died!

Dear Friends and Fans of Princess Sugar Pie,

Around 3:30pm, on Monday August 3rd 2009, my Daddy took me to Dr. Dennis's "Animal Clinic" in Pigeon Forge, to get my yearly vaccinations and everything appeared to be fine! Since I'm a "Registered and Certified Therapy Animal", I'm supposed to get my shots every year. Sometimes a pet can have their shots every 3 years if they have a tendency to have allergic reactions. That is much less stressful on the pet that way. Well, back to my vaccination story. On Tuesday, Daddy noticed that I was feeling a little down in the weather which is a normal way for a cat to feel after they get all of their shots. I have been vaccinated for 6 years with no problems other than feeling sore and a little warm. After we woke up on Wednesday, Daddy noticed that my pads and ears were feeling rather hot. He also noticed that my tongue was very hot to the touch when I would kiss Daddy on his face or hand. Daddy observed that I was not very playful, lost my appetite and wasn't drinking much water. He immediately called the "Animal Clinic" and told them that I was having a severe allergic reaction. Patsy told him to bring me over ASAP which he did. When I got there, I didn't have to wait to be treated. Dr. Lynne saw that I was running a fever of 106.7 degrees which is extremely high for a cat. She immediately started me on an "IV" to "hydrate" me and then gave me a shot of "Rimadyl" to "counterreact my allergic reaction". She told my Daddy that he knew a lot about animals especially cats and praised him for bringing me in promptly for treatment.

I'm so thankful that my Daddy observed me closely after my vaccinations and decided that I needed immediate treatment. All cat owners should watch their cats closely after their cats receive their vaccinations. Cat's noses don't always get feverish like a dogs nose does. A cat's body temperature normally runs 102.5 degrees which seems hot to begin with. A cat owner my not be able to tell much of a difference in the cat's temperature, so look for symptoms such as lathergy, loss of appetite, hot paw pads, ears and hot kisses. If your cat has a severe reaction get prompt medical treatment and don't put that off. Tell the vet to "Pre Treat" your cat next time and spread the vaccinations apart instead of having them all on the same day! Well, I'd better go now! I'm feeling so much better today, thanks to my Human Daddy. He and I love each other so much! I was put on many "Prayer Lists and we want to thank everyone who kept me in their prayers. Daddy says that he and I still have lots of work to do on this earth together. We need to stick around! Daddy and I are so thankful for one another! Thank goodness for that! Better go take my morning nap! Ciao, Meow and bye Yeow!

On Sunday July 12th, I ran away from home!

Dear Friends and Fans of Princess Sugar Pie,

On Sunday, right before sunset, I decided to slip outside to explore when my Human Daddy's Brother opened the Garage Door to take some things outside. A short time later, Daddy noticed that I wasn't at the Front Door looking out the Transome Window begging to go out on my leash when he went outside to sit in the rocking chair on the porch and phone a friend. When I still didn't show, he turned the house upside down, looking for me. Daddy was scheduled to take some friends of his over to the Hospital in Knoxville for the husband to have Laser Eye Surgery at 6am on Monday. Daddy didn't get to bed until almost 12:30am on Monday after driving all over the neighborhood in his pickup truck looking for me. He was franticly looking for me because we had some big Thunderstorms with lots of rain.

Thank goodness Daddy found me behind his Brother's home at a Neighbor's house. I was so scared of the storm because I was sitting beside the neighbors fence, unable to find cover from the rain. He called me to come over to the truck but I wouldn't come to him. With that, he then told me to get home which I did. When Daddy arrived back home, I met him at the front door soaking wet. He was so glad to see me and he dried me off with a towel.

Daddy was so tired on Monday after having to get up so early. I'm surprised that he didn't put me in the "Dog House" for what I did but he did give me a good lecture about "running off". We do have a dog house outside for the other two cats to sleep in case they need to get out of the weather so I wasn't making that up. Later on Monday evening, Daddy took me over to "Chick Fil-A" to have some whipped cream from his milkshake which I enjoyed. He even took me back to "Chick Fil-A" on Tuesday for the same thing. I guess that Daddy is doing this because he is happy that he found me. Maybe he will keep doing that "Chick Fil-A" deal and make it a daily ritual.

Daddy knows that I'm so happy that he rescued me from that bad thunderstorm and from those terrible unknown things outside! Daddy, I'm letting you know that I'm sorry for running away and I promise not to do that again! Cat's, please don't put your Human Daddy's through so much stress and heartache Ok! I learned my lesson this time! Until next time, Ciao, Meow and Bye Yeow!

On Thursday, July 9th, I had a long & busy day with my Human- Daddy while he ran errands!

Dear Friends and Fans of Princess Sugar Pie.

I really had a long & busy day spent with my Human Daddy while he ran errands. First, we went to Hardee's in Sevierville so he could get his morning Biscuit. I met many of my old Friends and Fans while I was there. Yet, I met some new Fans too. We then went to the "Comedy Barn" in Pigeon Forge, so Daddy could drop off a copy of my TV News Video to Dawn Goehring. Dawn has the "Comedy Canines" show there and she is a "Famous Dog Trainer" who has been seen on the TV Network "Animal Planet". Dawn met Daddy and me at a "Humane Society" Champagne Auction at the Sevierville Community Center back in 2006. We were not able to see her at the "Comedy Barn" because she was busy getting ready to do one of her shows. However, I was able to meet many new staff members and visitors there. Before leaving the "Comedy Barn", Daddy showed everybody my tricks routine.

After leaving the "comedy Barn" Daddy went over to "Fine's Barbershop" in Pigeon Forge, so that he could get a haircut. While there, we met with Robert Ownby, who is a well known "Country Music Song Writer". When Ownby saw me, he told my Daddy that he would write a song about me, which he finished on Friday. It is called, "My Sugar Pie Kitty". Robert is supposed to be inducted, this fall, into the "Country Music Hall of Fame" for 2009. After meeting Robert and going through my routine, I was able to take a much need "Cat Nap" at the barbershop. I guess that I have become a kind of a "Mascot" at Fine's.

After that, we traveled over to the "Cliff Dwellers" in Gatlinburg so I could meet Mary Hunt. The "Cliff Dwellers" specializes in arts and crafts and was built in the 1930's before it was moved to it's present location. Mary is a well known "Artist" who has a "Famous Cat" named Miss. Marble. She has been wanting to meet me since she talked to my Daddy a week earlier. I went through my "tricks routine" for Mary, the staff, and their customers during our visit. Before we left, my Daddy gave Mary an autographed picture of me in my "First Mate's Outfit Wearing Glasses". Mary was thrilled to have my picture. Mary's Daddy, Ed Hunt, was a well known "Photographer" who photographed the early beginnings of the "Great Smoky Mountains National Park". Ed was quite a photographer and he is still loved and missed to this day.

After we left the "Cliff Dwellers and arrived back home, Daddy and I got back in his Pickup Truck and traveled back to Seymour Veterinarian Clinic so that I could visit Sandy and meet some of her friends plus have another Photo-shoot with "Baby Bird". This photo-shoot turned out much better because "Baby Bird and me were both rested and not stressed out. I placed my "Healing Paw" on "Baby Bird's Head" in both photos. Human Beings just can't believe that a "Cat can befriend a Bird". We are supposed to eat birds if we can catch them but I'd much rather have my "Whiskas Temptations" for a snack. Before the pictures were made, Baby Bird and I tried our best to catch a fly but we both missed. I think that is when I really started liking Baby Bird as a friend. I don't like those pesty Flys at all and I'm glad that Baby Bird doesn't either! I really enjoyed my visit to the Seymour Vet Cinic but I was ready to get home. That evening, Daddy posted those photos on my "Blog" and also on "Twitter". The Tri-County News is supposed to do a feature news story on Baby Bird and me, sometime real soon. My Daddy will keep you posted on that. I had a busy but wonderful day on Thursday and I enjoyed meeting new people while traveling to new places, but it got tiring. I couldn't wait to get home now and finally take my "Evening Cat Nap". Until next time, Ciao, Meow and Bye Yeow!

I had a very busy and enjoyable 4th of July!

Dear Friends and Fans of Princess Sugar Pie,

I had a very busy but enjoyable 4th of July for 2009. First, my Human Daddy took me to see "Gatlinburg's 4th of July Parade", which is billed as the First 4th of July Parade in the nation. It always starts at 12:01am. Since we arrived early at 10:30pm, I was able to take a little "cat nap" in my buggy before the parade started. My Daddy didn't know how I would react to all the Fire Truck's making noise so he kept me in my buggy until they passed by. This was the 1st parade that I had ever seen but it was an enjoyable one for me. I just enjoy going places and seeing new things with Daddy. During the parade, I waved to David Keith, the well known actor, who portrayed "FDR" in his Presidential Motorcade. It was the 75th anniversary of "FDR's dedication of the "Great Smoky Mountains National Park". I think that I surprised Mr. Keith when he saw me dressed in my "Cowgirl Outfit" with my Red white and Blue Dress on.

Many Parade goers and entrants recognized me from my TV interviews. However, some people acted surprised or were in shock when they realized that I was a real live cat. That always happens where ever I go. It never ceases to amaze me about those things. Besides waving to almost everybody, I also waved to country music legend, TG Shepherd and also to Bill Landry, host and actor of the "Heartland Series" which my Daddy loves. When many parade goers and entrants saw me they would run over for me to give them "High Fives". My Daddy said that this was the best 4th of July Parade that Gatlinburg has ever had. I enjoyed seeing old Friends and Fans while making many new ones! Daddy is trying to get me used to parades, just in case I might ever be in one. I do plan on attending the "Mystic Mutts" parade in Fairhope, Alabama for 2010. We didn't arrive back home until almost 2am. By that time, I was more than ready for my nightly "cat nap".

The second thing that Daddy did was to take me to see the Fireworks Display in Pigeon Forge, which is a short distance away from Gatlinburg. Pigeon Forge is also home to Dollywood which many of you know about. We left home around 7:15pm and arrived at "Patriot Park" around 7:45pm. Daddy had a tough time finding a parking space so we rode around for a few minutes. We ended up parking near the Red Rooster, like we did last year, and he pushed me to "Patriot Park" in my buggy; with me riding in style. This was my 2nd time viewing this Fireworks show. When Daddy would try to block my view of the Fireworks with his hand, I would just look around it. Many Humans around me would laugh about that. While other animals were going balistic during the show, I was acting calm. I don't know why they can't act calmly either.

Daddy has spent so many hours training me to get used to noisy and crowded places which really helps me a lot. However, he remembered that the City of Daphne used to have Fireworks Displays at the "Lake Forest Yacht Club" which is a couple of hundred yards from where I grew up under my Human Daddy's Condo. Before the Fireworks started, I performed my "tricks routine" for many people just like I did before the parade started, while posing for pictures. I enjoyed meeting many new Friends and Fans while seeing some old ones too. I know that Daddy got tired from holding me and pushing my buggy but he always enjoys taking me places with him. Crowds seemed bigger this year in Pigeon Forge. It took us nearly an hour to arrive back at Daddy's pickup truck because people would stop him to take my picture. I really enjoyed the Fireworks Display, yet I was ready for my nightly "cat nap" when we arrived back home. What a busy day! Until next time, Ciao, Meow and Bye Yeow!

On Wednesday, July the 1st, I visited the Seymour- Veterinarian Clinic and had my picture taken with "Baby- Bird"!

Dear Friends and Fans of Princess Sugar Pie,

On Wednesday, my Human Daddy drove me over to the "Seymour Veterinarian Clinic" to visit Sandra Richardson, meet "Baby Bird" and also make some new Fans and Friends too. While there, I enjoyed showing off my "tricks routine" to all the staff, that included 5 Veternarians, and also some Parents of Patients. I was able to meet "Baby Bird" and let Sandy and others hold me like a "Baby" which they enjoyed doing. I really enjoy being held that way too. Sandy knows me and my Human Daddy because she enters her cats in the "Tennessee Valley CFA Cat Show's "Household Pets" division. Her cat named "Baby Bug Miller" won "1st place" and "Best Cat" this year for 2009. It is ironic because I won in 2008 and "Baby Bug" came in 10th place. I was happy that "Baby Bug" won because she is blind. Remember, that I hissed and growled myself to "10th place" this year because "Cherokee", the other contestant, slapped me on my butt, before I was taken over to the "Judges Table". It was all down hill after that happened. Well enough about that! I do promise to do better next time!

Sandy works at the clinic as a "Vet Tech" and rescued "Baby Bird" after someone brought him in when he was a baby. "Baby Bird" is a 2 year old "Common Starling" that can talk and dance. He was featured on the "Tennessee Traveler" on Monday June the 29th. He is really something and "Baby Bird" can say, "Baby Bird loves Dolly Parton" as plain as a "minor bird" does. My Daddy wanted me to tell you that. However, all birds talk, sing and make noise to me. "Baby Bird" wasn't having a good day and didn't say anything at all to my Daddy and me. Evidently, he was nervous or restless when it came time to have our picture made together. On the other hand, I hissed at "Baby Bird" and Sandy when one of the pictures was taken. My Daddy told me, "That wasn't a nice thing to do"! He thinks that I smelled Sandy's other cats on her clothes. Remember, the "Alfa Cat" in me sometimes appears. One picture turned out ok, but the girl taking it was not accustomed to taking pictures with a camera, let alone my Daddy's camera. Oh well! Things don't always work as planned, do they? Yet, my Daddy and Sandy want to have some more pictures taken of "Baby Bird" and me when we are more prepared. You can see more of "Baby Bird" on Alan William's "Tennessee Traveler" video http://famoustherapycatprincesssugarpie.blogspot.com. It is a real hoot.

I still think that Alan Williams has a crush on me and now has one on "Baby Bird" too. I plan on having a very busy 4th of July this weekend. My Daddy might take me to a parade and I may see some fireworks too. I had lots of fun at the "Pigeon Forge Fireworks Show" last year. My Daddy still can't get over the fact that I love to watch fireworks. Most animals hate them and go balistic but I don't. I will let you know how that goes Ok! Have a Happy and Safe 4th of July this Weekend and say "Thank You" to all the "Veterans" that you meet. Until next time, Ciao, Meow and bye Yeow!

My 2008 WVLT TV 8 "Tennessee Traveler" interview with Alan- Williams aired again.

Dear Friends and Fans of Princess Sugar Pie,

On Tuesday, May the 27th, my "dear friends" at Knoxville's CBS station; WVLT TV8, decided to rerun my 2008 TV interview with Alan Williams on his "Tennessee Traveler" Series. It caught my Human Family and me off guard since we were unaware of it's rerun. However, my Human Grandmother religiously watches WVLT TV8's 6pm news each and everyday. Otherwise, we all might have missed it. I have this feline feeling that Alan Williams is sweet on me since this is the 3rd time his interview has been rerun since March of 2008, when it first aired. That's ok with me because I love you too Alan. I would probably give you a sweet and tender kissy along with a huggy if you were close by. My Human Daddy had to quickly get the DVR setup before the "Therapy Cat; Feline with Many Faces & Cat with Many Hats" episode started and he got me settled in his lap to watch it, which I did. I could watch it again and again because Daddy and Alan did such a wonderful job. Dad always does all of my talking for me because I haven't perfected the Human Language yet, but I try to anyway. I am so proud of my Human Daddy for rescuing and training me, because this interview wouldn't have been possible without him. This was our very first TV interview and I hope that we do many many more interviews together. Remember that I wouldn't be "me" without "him", so Thank You Daddy. I always enjoy spreading love and joy to my many adoring friends and fans in Healthcare Facilities and Schools. Love, Purrs and High Fives to all of you. Besides Thanking my Daddy, I also want to say Thank You to Alan, his cameraman and to all of my Adoring Friends and Fans at the Mountain Brook Retirement Village in Sevierville, Tennessee. Y'all are so swell. Well, I'd better go finish my morning nap. Until next time, Ciao, Meow and bye Yeow. Oops, I almost forgot to mention that I love you too, my Catster friends.

I visited Sevierville's 2009 Blooming Barbeque & Bluegrass- Festival.

Dear Friends and Fans of Princess Sugar Pie,

On May 16th, 2009, my Human Daddy took me with him and we visited the Blooming Barbeque & Bluegrass Festival in Sevierville, Tennessee. I rode up and down the streets of Sevierville in style in my "Buggy" or "Stroller" as some people call it. This was my 3rd year in a row visiting the Festival and I saw many old Friends and Fans. Yet, I was able to make many new ones this year. Last year, my Human Daddy gave Marty Stewart one of my most Famous Pictures that he took of me as the "World's smallest Tired Ol' Cowgirl". They had plenty of "Good Ol' Barbeque & Baked Beans there plus plenty of Homemade Arts and Crafts too. I like to taste alittle Barbeque, now and then. I thought that I might, remotely, get a chance to meet Duke Bush, the Famous Dog in the Bush's baked beans commercial but I guess that he was at his Daddy's; Jay's house resting. Oh Well. I probably would have stayed until closing time at 10pm, but it started to rain. This rain caused my Daddy to have to run back to his pickup truck pushing me in the buggy. Thank goodness, he didn't fall running and I didn't melt to much this time. Rain isn't to bad if it isn't falling on me. Nap time again. Until next time. Ciao, Meow and Bye Yeow.

Love and Purrs,

Princess Sugar Pie
