I wanted to let y'all know that I'm feeling much better now. I'm able to visit my adoring Friends and Fans wherever I go and also visit Healthcare facilities again. For a while, I wasn't up to doing those things, but my Human Daddy, his family and all my adoring Friends and Fans are so happy that I'm back to my old self again. On October the 3rd, I went out and visited people at the Annual 2009 Fall Celebration at Robert Tino's Festival in Sevierville. I had a good time at the Celebration and made lots of Friends, including Bill Landry; the host of WBIR TV10's "Heartland Series" which ran for 25 years before its' final segment aired in September. He was the Guest Speaker at the festival and Daddy and me were able to visit with Bill for a brief time after he spoke. I was able to give him an autographed photo of me after showing him my "Tricks Routine". WBIR TV10 is special to me because they ran a segment about my visiting Pigeon Forge Care and Rehab Center back in April of 2008.
My Human Daddy bought a Video Camera a few days before the Tino Festival and he began shooting videos of me to put on my Catster Page and on YouTube. Also, I even started visiting my old Friends and Fans at the Smoky Mountain Flea Market which was great too! It was good to feel alive again!
On November the 5th, I was able to make it to the Annual 2009 Sevier County Humane Societies "Champagne Auction" where items from Oil and Watercolor Paintings to Antiques are auctioned off to help raise money for the Sevier County Animal Shelter. I do all I can to help spread the word about adopting Cats and Dogs and let people know that I once was a homeless feral kitten. Prior to the Champagne Auction, I visited the Comedy Barn in Pigeon Forge where the Sevier County Humane Society had a party for "Miss. Ellie" who raised thousands of dollars for the Humane Society. I did all I could to spread the word on my "Twitter Page" for everyone to vote for Miss Ellie in the "Cutest Dog in America" Contest. She was in first place in the Semifinals but placed 5th overall in the finals. I was disappointed that she didn't win First place but that happens sometimes. For each vote that Miss. Ellie received, $1.00 dollar was donated to the Sevier County Humane Society. Eventhough, she didn't win the Million Dollars, the $25,000 dollars went a long way towards helping the Shelters operating costs. That made me very happy to see the money put to good use!
On Christmas Eve of 2009, My Human Daddy took me to visit the Mountain Brook Retirement Village located in Sevierville and the Pigeon Forge Care and Rehab Center located in Pigeon Forge. It had been a while since my last visit and it was so good to see all of my Adoring Friends, Fans, Staff Members, Patients and permanent Residents at both of my favorite Healthcare Facilities. I hadn't realized that I was Loved and missed so much until this visit and it made me feel so wonderful inside my dainty "Kitty Cat" body. My Daddy says that I have that effect on Human Beings. I'm just giving back the Love and attention that I seem to get from Humans. I guess that my Daddy had something to do with that when he rescued me.
The Mountain Brook Retirement Village and The Pigeon Forge Care and Rehab Center are very special to me because they are where I had my first TV interviews on WVLT TV8 & WBIR TV10. I really enjoyed my visits during December and my Human Daddy couldn't get over how much I had missed visiting all those people at both places who claim how happy I make them. It's good to do the things that I love doing again! I still don't understand why everyone makes such a fuss over me though! Until Next Time! Ciao, Meow and Bye Yeow!
I just wanted to let y'all know that I'm feeling so much better now. Those yearly vaccinations nearly had me walking over to the "Rainbow Bridge" and I'm glad that didn't happen. Yet, I have so much more work to do with my Daddy before we leave this world. On Sunday, he took me out for the first time, in a while, to visit some of my Friends and Fans at the Smoky Mountain Flea Market. It was a good visit and I got to see a lot of my old friends there. On Wednesday, this "Little Cowgirl" went with Daddy and his Brother, Rick, to the Grand Opening of Mountain National Bank at the Old Newport Highway's location. Of course, I wore my "Famous Cowgirl" hat for the occasion. I wear that outfit everywhere. Mr. Clint from Clint's Restaurant was serving hot dogs, cole slaw and baked beans there at the bank. All of the money donated from the meals went to the "Sevier County Humane Society". My adopted Daughter named Gypsy came from the SCHS Little Friends Adoption Agency so the Humane Society is special to me and my Human Family. I am sort of a "Spoks Cat" and occasionally attend the annual SCHS Champaigne Auction. I also put plugs in for some ASPCA Agencies and Feral Cat Societies too. I enjoy helping those organizations out whenever I can.
Before leaving the Bank's Grand Opening, I met many new Friends and Fans there plus saw a lot of old Friends too. I petted a puppy dog and a couple of cute kittens that were up for adoption. I even let one of the kittens play with my Jumbo Toothbrush and Stuffed Basset Puppy that I carry around. I will grab my Basset Puppy and hold him when a Fan hands him to me. I also brush my teeth most every day with my Jumbo Toothbrush. Those are just some of the tricks that I can do. When I got home, I was ready to take my Noon Cat Nap. After I had my nap, my Daddy got the laser light out and played with Gypsy and me. It's good to feel better again. I have so much to do other than be sick! I should be able to visit some of my Healthcare Facilities very soon. Also, I would like to meow "Thank You" again to all of my "Well Wishers" for their love, prayers and zealie gifts. That was so sweet. I've never had so many people and feline friends pulling for me before and it makes me feel needed, loved and so much better. Until next time, Ciao, Meow and bye Yeow.
On Tuesday August the 11th, Daddy took me back to see my Veterinarian, Dr. Dennis at his "Animal Clinic". I was still feeling sick to my stomach from my allergic reaction to my recent vaccinations last week. When Dr. Dennis saw me he gave me a shot of "Reglin"to calm my stomach and some "Flagyl" tablets to calm my bowels. When Daddy got me back home, I would not take the tablets at all, so he had to go back to see Dr. Dennis and get me some liquid medicine. It is imperative that I take this medicine to get well. Even though I don't like it's taste very much because it makes me drool and cry, my Daddy will make sure that I take it; like it or not! I really want to get to feeling better because I love my Daddy very much and he along with my family as well as my many adoring friends and fans all want me to get well. I want to thank everyone for their get well wishes too. I'm glad and so happy that I was able to survive this terrible ordeal. Well, I'd better go and take my afternoon nap now! Until next time, Ciao, Meow and bye Yeow!
