My beautiful fiance, Tessie, got hit with a were-cat virus during the full moon --- I'm a bit confoooooosed as to the details --- and she was turned into a PIG!! Her brofur, Tucker, was turned into a chicken! when she sneezed on him.

Despite my legendary prowess as Hairy Pawter (for Halloween), I was unable to help her. The good news is that she is back to normal and her gorgeous self again. Whew! what a relief!!

She said YES

Today I sent my beautiful Tessie an engagement collar and asked her to be my fiance and she said YES. I'm the happiest cat in West Virginia --- maybe even the entire United States! --- today. Mom wishes she knew how to put the picture of the collar somewhere in my diary, but alas...she's not THAT computer savvy!

I read in Tessie's diary that she caught the flowers at TC and Cagney's wedding. We'll have to see if that comes true........ Of course, it will SOMEday! There's no other cat for me --- that's furrrrrrr sure.

Kisses to my Tessie, dear diary.

I've Been Tagged!

The rules: Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Cats who are tagged need to write on their own blog about the seven things and the rules. You need to choose seven cats to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment that they have been tagged and to read your blog.

1. It's quite possible --- even probable (if you're inclined to believe that way) --- that I am the reincarnation of my Rainbow Bridge brother, Albert. The vet thinks I may have been born on May 2, 2002, the day my brother died and went to the Bridge. I was found in an almost miraculous way.

2. My Mom thinks I have the MOST beautiful face she has ever seen.

3. I love my Daddy and cat brother, Mr. Silk, best --- even though Mommy loves me so much it hurts.

4. I have the most expressive face and Mom thinks I can almost talk.

5. My brother, Mr. Silk and I, won a photo contest at InsideLongmont.

6. I love to suckle on my Mom's face.

7. Daddy calls me "Braveheart" because I'm such a big baby....and afraid of quite a few things, even though I have never had a traumatic moment in my life.

White Star Day-January 15, 2007

Hello all you cats and kitties,

Today I received the highest award the Pure White Kitties Club can bestow on a non-white cat: The Whitester WHITE STAR award. It was given to me by my sweet friend, Leida (a pure whitester herself!) I feel so honored. It was such a thoughtful and kind thing for her to do. My brother Albert at the Rainbow Bridge got a WHITE STAR, too, but that was from our brother Honky Cat (also at the Bridge)....so it hardly counts. MOL

Eat your heart out everycat!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year all you cats and kitties!

I lost the InsideLongmont photo contest last month, but I'm OK with that now. I feel it is better to have Catster friends than winning a contest, anyway, and the contest was getting kinda ugly, so we just quit asking for votes.

This month several of our friends are in that contest, including my sister, Bobbie Sue. (She's the upside down kitty.) We aren't asking for votes. If you'd like to check out the contest and vote for your favorite, please feel free. Our friend Sindri is doing really well. (He's the cute kitty in the tree.) Bobby is doing well, too. (We are pretty sure he's the wet kitten at the top of the page.) And so is Cyndi. (She's the black kitty at the bottom of the page.) And Sparky looks very cute being lovey with his brother. We'll be happy if a CAT wins --- no matter which cat it is.

That's it for now. Have a catnip catmopolitan on me.

Love, Albie

My brother and my two sisters caught a very bad kitty cold --- URI the vet called it. My sister, Bobbie Sue, is the sickest. Would everyone please pray for her? She's in pretty bad shape.

It's That Time of Year Again

We're off to Chincoteague, VA next week for our annual fall visit to CatBird's Nest. Wow! time sure flies. It seems like only last week we returned from our April visit there. This time we'll be gone for TWO WHOLE MONTHS. I think it is mainly because Mum and Daddy want to get away from the "grands" --- and if you ask ME, there isn't anything GRAND about them. MOL These human kittens are for the birds. MOL

I'll write to you again y'all, when I get to Virginia!

Contest

My brother, Mr. Silk and I are entered in a photo contest on
http://www.InsideLongmont.com
Initially, we had a very comfortable lead, and we are still (at this writing) ever so slightly ahead in the polls. However, a couple of doggies are catching up with us FAST. We think it would be neat if a CAT won the contest this month because a doggie won LAST month.

Please support us by voting for the photo titled "Best Friends" ASAP. You won't have any problem recognizing us because my brother is a very handsome tuxedo kitty and I'm a bodacious yellow and white kitty. We are napping head to head in the photo. You may vote once a week, and it only takes a moment to vote. We'd be furrrrr-ever grateful for your support.

Purrs, Albie

P.S. This is only for the month of August. We're never --- well, never say never, but not anytime soon --- entering a popularity contest like this again. We thought it was about the PHOTO, but it's about who can get the most people to vote for them, and that really isn't our style.

Sad, Sad!

Hello all you Cats and Kitties,

My Mum read an article in the newspaper this morning about all the animals that were brought to the Humane Society and the very dismal statistics about how many were adopted and how many were put down because there was no room for them.

If anyone thinks that cats do not need to be "fixed" they should go to the Humane Society and see what so tragically happens because there are just too many cats.

I've heard people say that they want their girl kitties "to have just one litter so their children can experience the miracle of birth" --- well I say, "Take your children to the Humane Society and let them see the tragedy of DEATH." There are other ways children can experience the miracle of birth. I'm sure there are videos and programs on TV and books that can show them that miracle without having a female cat produce a litter of kittens whose fate is uncertain at best, and perilous at worst.

My message for today is SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS! I'll get up on my cat food box for another lecture on keeping your kitties inside (for their own safety) another day. ;)

Purrs,

Albie
