Arrival Story: Buddy came to us as a stray who'd obviously been left outside in the bitter cold for days. He was starved and thin, but was immediately a little cuddle-bug over the offer of food! He loves being held and plays very gently. Buddy follows us around and is interested in everything. Right now he's living at the kennel where I have my grooming shop and is very loved by all of the employees. Buddy is about one year old (estimated birthdate is in March) and is very healthy and putting on some weight. He needs a loving, forever, INDOOR home where he can be safe. Buddy will be a wonderful and loving kitty for anyone who needs the special love that only a cat can bring!

Bio: Latest and greatest UPDATE! Walter is now living with Stephie's cousins, who love him completely! They don't have other kitties and only one dog. Walter and the doggie get along fine and Walter seems to love being the only kitty!
NEWEST UPDATE:
Walter, aka Buddy Bear is not working out well with his 2 sisters. He is making them neurotic and reclusive by chasing them around. His Mom and Dad are working lots of hours and aren't able to give Buddy quality play time every day, so are looking to rehome him in a atmosphere where he will get lots of attention and playtime to help him grow up. He is not destructive of the home he's living in, but does climb on everything and get into things he shouldn't. If you can help us rehome buddy, please send a pawmail!
UPDATE!!!
Buddy Bear has been adopted by my son and daughter-in-law. He has been renamed "Walter", but they still call him Buddy. He will always be my Buddy Bear since I'm now his grandma!! He has two new sisfurs, Phoebe and Molly...also a doggie named Buster who is partially paralyzed and uses a cart to help him walk. Buddy isn't afraid of Buster at all and is trying to play with the girls. They are having none of it though....just disappearing!
We are working on Buddy Bear's knowledge of dogs. He's afraid of them at the moment and the kennel is, of course full of....DOGS! Buddy hangs out with me or someone else in the offices and other rooms where dogs are controlled and is getting used to seeing and hearing them. He's very smart, so I know he will get used to the dogs and probably become friends with some of the dogs who are used to being gentle with kitties.
UPDATE: Buddy Bear is now very brave around the dogs as long as they don't rush him. He even goes right up to the kennel door and listens to them bark!

Wow, being adopted is different than I thought it would be! First, I get to go to a new home wif a doggie that can't walk on all its legs and two kitties who really don't like me. Then I get to go to the VETS and get what they call neutered! I don't know what that is, but being at the vets was FUN! They gave me some funny stuff that made me sleep and when I waked up, I was on a white table wif people in masks standing around. Efurryone was startled when I waked up 'cos I guess I wasn't sposed to yet and I started playing wif the paper on the table wif my front paws. The people were doin' stuff to my hind end, but I couldn't feel it...I just just pawed the papers and then they noticed I was awake! One of the people held me still on the front end and took hold of my paws while the other people finished up whatever they were doin' to my hind end. Then I got picked up and cuddled and fussed over. People laughed at me, 'cos I wanted to play wif stuff and never did hiss or growl or try to hide! They put me in a cage for awhile to sleep, but I didn't want to sleep! I wanted to PLAY! I played wif efurrything I could get my paws on and reached thru the bars to paw at people outside my cage. They kept laughing and one of them got the vet who did something to my hind end and she examined me and told them to let me do what I want to do! I LIKE her! So, I got out of the cage and went to an office wif another person to play and I finally got tired and laid down to sleep on a nice bed she had fur me. When I woked up, my new Mom and Dad were there to get me and I went HOME! They called my G-ma, who was one of my foster-moms before I came here and she laughed and laughed and said "that sounds like my Buddy Bear!" Oh, by the way....my new Mom and Dad call me Walter now. G-ma doesn't though...I'm still her Buddy Bear and always will be! She will be updating my page and helping me to write my diary so we can still spend time together. She is coming over to visit me later today and we can PLAY! She is bringing me a new catnip ball, too! Wheeee!!!!
