Cupid's bow and arrows have been getting a workout, sending little zings all around Catster.

Yesterday, a delightful surprise arrived for me, in the form of some juicy red lips from Anonymous.

Her message was:

My heart is happy! Thank you Anonymous, whoever you are! I would love to send you a special Valentine's Day gift, if you would like to reveal your identity.

I am sure that the Pretty Princess Chloe, my special Valentine, would not mind me wishing you a happy, happy Valentine's Day, and thanking you for making me feel so special!

My Dream (Boat) has come true!

When I first became active on Catster a couple of years ago, I began to notice that many of my mancat friends had DB next to their names. Now these mancats all shared some things in common such as their devastating good looks, their sense of adventure, their love of mischief, and their great fashion sense. What I soon learned was that this was no coincidence. As I came to discover, these manly mancats had been hand-picked by the very gorgeous, sweet, and talented Samoa .
From that moment on, I dreamed that one day I too would become one of Samoa's Dreamboat, and today it happened!!!!!
I am so excited and so honored to be named on the same day as D.I.T. Snow and Angel Dreamboat Buddie . Congrats to these handsome dreamboats!
Thank you so much Samoa for all of the work that you do every Valentine's season, researching mancats, and making so many of us feel like a million bucks with your write-ups about the special characteristics of each of your Dreamboats! I have made some new mancat friends from your list, and always look forward to seeing your picks.

Birthdays are Fun!

Hi Everybuddy,

As you know, today is my birthday. What a fun day I have had. Lots of special attention and our traditional family birthday party complete with special treats and lots of gifts.

Time for Introductions and A Winner is Revealed!

Okay kitties! It is time for my big announcement!
First of all, I was so impressed with all of the guesses, and in fact I am incorporating each one of them into my letter to Santa Paws this year. If all goes well, I will have a ferret, a pony, a living indoor tree, a lizard, a human brother or sister and much, much more by December 25th. Won't that be exciting?!?!
Thank you all for playing along in my contest. All of you are winners in my eyes, and every paw who entered will be receiving a zealie just for playing, but we do have a grand prize winner, and in fact this kitty is the only one to guess correctly. Before I tell you who that is, I would like to introduce you to the newest member of my family.
Meet Roxanne
Roxanne is a Black Moor Goldfish. I love her. I love to watch her swim and swim and swim and I love to hang out with her when it is her dinner time because her food smells really yummy and fishy. I have never had my very own fish sister before, but I think that I am doing a good job of being a big brother so far. I like to lay down near her tank so that she knows that I am close by. Sometimes, when my pawrents are snoopervising me, I am allowed to get up really close to her tank and watch her. I really like this, and I will tap the front of the tank with my paw to let her know that I am there.

Roxanne is a real girly girl, which my mommy really likes, as she was outnumbered three to one until Roxanne came along. Her favorite color is pink and she even has a pink lid on her tank and a special pink castle inside. Sometimes I ask Roxanne if I can come to visit her special castle, but she always says to me "No, Siggy. You can't come inside my castle. There are no boys allowed." I understand.
My bigger, younger brother Pillsbury had his own special way of making Roxanne feel at home:

Now, without further adieu, congratulations to our Grand Prize Winner:
River
River has won 5 zealies and a special toy purrsonally selected by myself and Roxanne. Now, as most of you kitties know, River's mommy makes some of the best cat toys in the world, so I am hoping that his prize will live up to the high standards his mommy has set. The toy will be fish themed at Roxanne's insistence.

Since Da Tabbies love fish, and since they did mention trout, which is a fish, and since Roxanne is insisting, we are also going to award Da Tabbies with an Honorable Mention prize. They will have the choice of three zealies or a special BURD toy! MOL!! Just kidding Tabbies, it will be a FISH toy!

Contest Time

I have some exciting news! We have a new family member, who came home on Sunday.
Now here is where the contest part comes in. I am not going to tell you any more details. I would like you to take a guess at what this new family member is.
I will take guesses until Friday, September 30th at 11:00 p.m. Pacific time. You may make one guess for each kitty and doggy in your house.
The first fur to guess correctly will win a special toy that has been specially approved by the newest member of the house, and 5 zealies.
All furs who guess correctly, but do not win will receive their choice of a fun toy or 3 zealies.
All furs who enter, but don't guess correctly will win one zealie just for playing.

My Week In Review: Did I win the tuna flake lottery?

Hi everybody,

Wow! What a week! First, I must mention that the Diary Gal has chosen me as a DDP again today! Thank you Diary Gal and thank you to all of my friends for your comments, mementos, and gifts! I have been blessed with the most wonderful friends in the world! Purrsonal thank yous are on the way!

Now that my week as Cat of the Week has come to a close, I wanted to take some time to comment on how extraordinary it was!

I must say that my mom had been having a tough day last Tuesday. There was a lot of yucky work related stuff going on that had her walking around feeling upset, then out of the blue, the e-mail arrived notifying us that I was COTW! I have never seen a frown turn upside down so fast.

I didn't realize all the excitement that being COTW would bring. It has been a non-stop party at my house. Lots of extra treats, pets, and cuddles, and lots of being swept up in Mommy's arms for the COTW dance, which involves lots of bouncing, and chanting Cat of the Week over and over again.

I am very honored that my week in the spotlight happened to coincide with some other major events: Cinco De Mayo, the Kentucky Derby, and Mother's Day! With all of these events happening, it was sure to be a fun week anyway, but throw in all the excitement from being featured on the home page, and the week took on a feeling of celebration all the way through.

Sprinkle in two DDPs and add to it the unbelievable occurrence of my Pretty Princess Chloe being featured as COTD yesterday, sharing the home page with me, and this week was pretty off the charts pawesome!

I have loved making lots of new friends, and visiting with the old. I have received stunning photos mementos to capture each of these events, from friends that are so talented it is overwhelming. I have been blown away by all of the comments and gifts I have received.

I feel like I have won the tuna flake lottery!

Another Exciting Day!

I woke up this morning to the news that I was selected as a DDP! Thank you so much Diary Gal!

I am having such a fun week as Cat of the Week and now today as DDP on Derby Day! I guess this means I should bet big! MOL!
I am about halfway through my purrsonal thank yous to all of my wonderful friends who have been helping me to celebrate all week. My page looks so amazing with all the gifts, photos, and comments! I love getting new comments!

Cat of the Week!!!! Say What?!!!?!!

Oh my goodness! Is that really me on the home page as Cat of the Week?
I am a celebrity! Is this what it feels like to be Brad Pitt?
If I am dreaming this, don't wake me up because this is soooooo much fun! I started out as a homeless cat in a San Francisco shelter, fast forward a few years and I am Cat of the Week on the World Wide Web!

Spring Fashions

Since spring is on its way, my Mommy decided that it was time to update my wardrobe. So, she went shopping at CatAtelier, which is the shop owned by my dear friend Toki and his mom.
We were so excited when everything came. Toki's mom does such an amazing job, and she even drew lots of cute cat pictures on all of the paperwork, which made my mommy squeal. One of them looked just like me!
I have added lots of new photos of me modeling all of my new neckwear.
It just so happens that today (Sunday, March 20th) is Toki's 2nd birthday, so I would love it if you would stop by to wish him a Happy Birthday, or to just say hi. He is a super cool dude and a great friend.
I hope that spring is on its way to all of my friends, and that it brings sunshine and flowers to you wherever you are!

I am A Movie Star!

Last night, my Mommy decided that it was time I start making use of my Catster video book, so she filmed me playing with a couple of my Valentine's Day presents.
In my video, you will get to meet my new friend Mr. Bluebird. He and I have been spending a lot of time together talking about manly things like girls, cars, food, and sports.
You will also get to see me playing with my catnip pumpkin pie. Well, when I say playing, what I really mean is that you will get to see me rubbing the pie all over my face. MOL!
