Is there no diary entry for the dogs?
Well, we have worked extensively with Misty dog! She's wonderful now! We worked out the play biting issues. (She would bite anything and everything, including ME, her person!) So, we work with her. She knows we are her pack leader now!!!!!! It's incredible! She was under some stress/tension/confusion before. It's made a huge difference! To just feed the dog AFTER walks, AND AFTER the humans eat dinner! WOW! and to "heel" beside us, this helps too! I know it helps!
because...
now...
SHE WILL OFFER ME HER BONE! She will drop it at my feet in a submissive gesture! Even my human child can take her bones! (rawhide). Of course, I still supervise the human child with every animal. but ,. wow. what a relief. I was not a "bad dog owner" I just did not know what I was doing! This is my first dog! Now she will be 12 yrs old in July!
If I can train my cats, I can certainly train this dog or that puppy! I'm determined! The puppy is not even any bit of a challenge, compared to the Husky!!!!!!!!
We love Salvador Dali!
I just don't know where to put this journal entry!

7:30 am First, she stole Luna's soft canned cat food...
8:30 am, Then, she stole some left over toast from breakfast (RIGHT off the table!)
9:00 am, During walk time, found some free fried chicken from the messy neighbors on the side of the road and ATE it before the human mommy person had a clue what was going on... COOKED bones = BAD tummy! : (
9:30 return route from walk, found an uneaten hamburger, attempted to steal that too.
Despite all this, the dog is actually quite well fed at 7 am with Lamb and Rice food. (her favorite! her choice. She's made me well aware that she will not eat certain dry dog foods. However, trash on the side of the road? one man's trash is another dog's treasure!
Sorry for the dog post, but I don't know if I have an active journal for the dog? not sure how to create it.
and YES. my darn human needs some dog training skills. very bad me. She's a very sneaky active dog for her 11 yr age!
Coming next: photos with the cats all sleeping next to the dog! : )
trying to find the cord to attch camara to CPU! : )

Luna, the other cat, was temporarily separated from Salvador. I think she was fighting. I forget why. So, the bathroom door was closed. Salvador walked over to the Dog's water dish... It is 12 inches long by six inches wide.... and very deep. ... It was actually dry at the moment. The cat hopped into the dry dish and began to scratch around, as if ready to make business that usually goes in a toilet or litter box! I found it especially hilarious because ... My dog, like most dogs, has been known to DRINK out of the TOILET! (YIKES! EW!) so, the cat must have wondered if the dog's drink dish was a TOILET! HA HAHAHAHA!

Salvador has never made friends with the 11 yr old Siberian Husky (She has retired indoors, much to my broom's dismay)...
Although, I have found Salvador curled up in my bed next to my spot, and beside that spot, the dog ususally warms my legs! The cat and dog MIGHT have been almost touching?! ?!
Even greater shocking yet, is when Luna cuddled up there next to Salvador? The cats tolerate each other for sharing warmth.... but, next to the ENEMY DOG?! (Btw, the dog is fine with cats, She used to play with Leo, and other cats at my mom's house. The dog wishes to PLAY a fun game of chase/tag... only the cats do not understand. The current cats were rescued off the street. They think the dog wants to eat them.) I'm very surprised that Siberian Huskies have a high prey drive? My dog is very jealous of my cats, but does not wish to eat them. ? I think she knows she would be in very big trouble. I guess the dog grudgingly accepts the cats as the lowest members of our "pack" family. LOL The dog does watch other cats when we go on walks, but it's not the same look she gives the squirrels... LOL (why am I writing this on a cat diary?oops) she seems like a puppy again, watching the squirrels, and nearly catching a lazy one or two. Sometimes, She looks up eagerly in the trees, as if they will fall into her mouth? I think, that maybe this has actually happened in the past! LOL She used to have a really big fenced in area, with wild animals too.... OK back to Salvador's exciting stories...

Snow melted Saturday, March 6. Sunday, 9 am, escapee just in time for the humans to miss attending church. causing chaos....
Salvador, the escapee, returned completely covered, just DRIPPING with Car transmission fluid or some weird semi-oily fluid. I'm not sure what it was. My human Grandmother had to tell my human mommy that maybe this was FOUL play? because my stupid Naive human mommy does not seem to understand ... this ? on purpose? could actually KILL a cat and bring death... She knows no such evil! It is too evil for her little tiny happy vegan animal friendly mind fathom such an idea, is too foreign to her.
So, Salvador might have lost one of his nine lives, if he had not returned to his home, where he was immediately washed right on top of the dishes with dish soap. No towels handy. Human mommy just tucked the cat into her sweater. She was too scared that he would lick this awful car fluid and die. not just today, but in future days or weeks, as Salvador has FUD and FIV. so, both His immune system AND his kidney liver might not function as well as other cats? Human mommy says she needs to learn more about FUD after this incident.
We would love for Salvador to go outside for some exercise and fresh air. However, we live on a very busy street. Probably the busiest street in all this entire BIG city. SO, he really is to stay inside. Besides, He has FIV. He should not spread that around. (He's a good kitty, really. He hates to fight. He was beaten up by a big kitty once, right before I found him. THAT's how he aquired the FIV. He was only about 11 months old and tiny. ... He is only 9 lbs currently. most cats are bigger than him, so he avoids them. shy forever, after his fights and street life. .. That I do not know anything about... past life....
He had a soft couch and home once a upon a time, but he escaped and found me. I put up signs, but no one claimed him. After one month, He was pretty much human toilet trained. so , I gave up finding his former owners. If I had lost my beloved cat, I would put up signs and go door to door relentlessly until I found him!!!!!!!!!!! I don't understand why I never met his owners seeking him!! I walked all over the neighborhood. I never saw a "lost cat" sign.

We shall see how this works out?
(or not?)
Salvador (the cat) is OK with it.
Me, the human (typing this for you all) is not so pleased with another furball following me around. I thought they were supposed to entertain each other? How naive am I? now, I have two cats that demand my attention. not sure I like that. I never really had to care for 2 cats 24-7 before. It's really kind of annoying. (I used to go to school or work for 8hrs. ) Now, we are here, together, constantly. Sure, We go out for walks a lot... but... define "a lot". .... I do not take 8 hr walks. LOL

LOL He was sleeping by my mommy feet, and suddenly, he POUNCES! '
(oh! we have a mouse, so I'm, really excited and happy!) "what do you have there, Salvador?"
"don't worry, I got it , mommy owner person" he seems to be thinking!
Closer inspection reveals that it is already dead. It's the tall dry fuzzy wheat grass we were playing with earlier! LOL

10pm "Meeow, meeow, meeow.... Meeeeeow..."
11pm "Meeow, Meeow, meeow,... meeeeeow..."
12 midnight "meeow, meeow, meeow, ... MEeeeeow."
translation:
"Owner-person, did you know that there are cats outside? Cats. outside. CATS. OUTSIDE?!"
I think Salvador is lonely. I would like to get another teenage kitten cat (for the nurturing side of him, not me. I don't want a baby baby kitten... personally...) but... He has the FIV thing ... so, we wait ... for the right cat...
or Beagle dog? small dog? Big indoor/outdoor Siberian Husky? (It's NOT cruel. My husky CHOSE to be outside, and to visit us inside, but live outside with the chickens, squirrels, and to protect us from the raccoons!)...

Ah, of course, my kitty was probably a poor college student's stray cat. What was I thinking , when I thought he was similar to a pure breed? He does have a lot of traits though...
Anyway, interesting news! I was walking in our neighborhood? I saw 2 other tiny cats with striped/spotted markings and very friendly similar temprament!!! Can you believe it?!! Could they be my stray cat's stray sisters??? wow... SMALL WORLD, eh? college town! LOL give each of the neighbors a kitten!

My cat reminds me of an Ocicat! He has the spotted coat! He has terrible bad breath... He has the crazy never ending need for attention!!!!! He is soOooOooOooo needy!!! I thought I was getting a CAT< one of those aloof, king kitty cats, but no, he wants my constant attention and approval!!! He is ALWAYS under my feet. I know instantly if he has escaped, because I have not seen him in the last five minutes. (He is a sneaky escape artist.) He is sometimes skittish around strangers though, it depends on the mood. I've had visitors pet him while he was sleeping on the couch, and he's happy with that. (shrugs) cats, go figure, huh?
I think we need to learn more about this Ocicat breed. There are lots of rich college kids here that he could have belonged to.... or... poor college kids as well.
: ) Poor college kids can not afford breed cats, but rich college kids could. Interesting thought... because ...
If I could buy another "Salvador" cat with the same overwhelming need for attention, like my cat... hmmm... interesting.
