Arrival Story:
I was walking home in November 1997. There was snow on the ground and before I knew it, I was on the ground too! A little kitten had snuck up on me and tripped me. What do you know? It was this sweet little thing, shivering and covered in frosty snow. We couldn't imagine leaving her outside and had no idea where she came from, so we brought her in.
Bio:
The name Crackers was thought up by my late, great-aunt, Freda. My friends think it's a weird name, but I think it's quite adorable. She likes to keep to herself most of the time and she isn't as photogenic as our other pets. She is very shy and quiet as well. Her meow is barely audible...it's more like a squeak. For the first few months we had her we thought she was mute, but she's just very selective about when she meows. When we brought Corey into the house, she stayed down in the basement for over a year and would never come up for more than a few seconds. She was terrified of him...and she still is for some reason (even though he wouldn't hurt a fly). She is also a very picky eater, so we are always worrying if she's get enough to eat. She's such a sweetheart with us, though, it breaks our hearts.
