The surgery is two weeks past, the sutures have been removed and the vet has said that we are doing well. She expects the lymphedema to be temporary and resolve within the next few weeks. We have passed the four month mark since the time of diagnosis when we were given only two months to live. Now that the large tumor has been removed, there remain some very small ones in the left groin area. At what rate they may grow is anyone's guess and the vet told Mom that she would not draw any conclusions as to how much time we have. She said it could be months to a year or more. She also said that she had to remove so much tissue during the surgery that there is not enough skin remaining to accommodate any further surgery in the groin area and that if another tumor were to grow there and abscess, the only option will be to send us to the Rainbow Bridge. To those of you who love us, we humbly ask for your continued purrayers. We thank you all for your concern. There is indeed hope that all shall be well.
