Arrival Story:
Dolly had been rescued from a gas station in Pueblo. She was transferred along with her sibling at MaxFund in Denver and had to undergo knee surgery at a very young age. During her physical therapy, she did very well until she aged out of the kitten room at age one. Without the space to roam free, her knee progress stagnated and the vet and chorprater were frustrated. I offered to bring her home with me so she would have the space she needed. We continued to bring her in every other week for adjustments (she HATED that) for a time and she improved greatly! She became a part of our family mainly because nobody else seemed to want her. She was a beautiful and loving cat. She doted on the kittens and Ceili especially got very attached to her. Her knee rehabilitated just fine and she would run up and down stairs, jump onto the bannister and bed, and chase the other cats, the dog, and the laser light. Finally in the Sep 2009, we got a call from Virginia who wanted a cat with Turkish Van qualities. She had recently lost her cat of the same type and it was the only cat her husband's allergies could tolerate. Her family fell in love with Dolly on sight (Oct), her husband passed the "fur tolerance" test and Dolly went to her furever home with Virginia and her family in Nov. In April we heard from Virginia that Dolly was suddenly very ill. It was discovered that she had a heart problem. She struggled along under her mom's watchful and loving care for another month and then slipped away to be with all our other furbabies who have gone on before. She touched many lives and is missed dearly.

Bio:
Dolly was adopted to a very loving home in the fall of 2009 and went to be w/ her sister Rosey on May 14, 2010. She was almost 3 years old and had been very well loved in her short time here on earth. The vet had found an irreversible heart condition that was treated as much as it could be, but her heart was too weak and finally gave out in the early morning hours of May 14. We will all miss her her much! The Cobble family and the Waddell family
