Furs. We have a serious problem. Please pray and purr for rain everypaw. Many States here in the USA are in a drought right now. We've had mid to upper 90s temps for 3 weeks now with two puny rain showers and no end in sight.
Iowa is the nations top producer for corn and soy beans. A quarter of the corn harvest is basically ruined already. The governor declared some southern counties as agricultural disaster zone. Purrsonally I don't like corn. I eat food that has no corn in it. But corn is in a lot of the stuff that the humans eat. This affects everypaw. Your food prices will go up or have gone up already. Fuel with ethanol in it will go up. Our ground water levels are very low. Fish are dying because their rivers and lakes get hot. Trees are losing their leaves, young trees are in danger of not making it. There is an increased risk of fires with it being so dry.
Mom needs to go and water our tree now she says.
Oh my, sweetie. The same thing is going on over here in Germany, only it´s not draught it´s continuous rain. We´ve been rained on for weeks now and so have the fields and farmers are very concerned that they won´t be able to bring in the harvest if this continues much longer. A lot of the wheat is already damaged due to extreme frost earlier in the year and then too little rain in March and April. Sigh.
If only we could trade rain and sunshine as we need it, we´d be only too glad to give you some of our excess water right now.
Right! We need to trade fur a while...we haven't had rain in way more than 3 weeks, except fur about 5 min of piddles last week...OMC!
We are having prayer times in our church specifically fur this issue.
There are lots of dead shrubs and trees along the roadsides...and even in people's yards.
Sad, furry scary and sad:(
So sorry furries! I had rain all last week and yesterday, we even had so much places flooded! hope you get some sparkling rain soon
King Henry (not floating away yet)
Mumtatz, I am sorry about your wheat. Why can't we just even this out somehow? We need the rain that you have too much of and you need our sunshine. I'll trade you 5 days of 35 degree celsius weather for 5 days of rain straight. Please send rain, I'll send sunshine.
Henry, I'll take your leftover rain too please. We had 103 F today. How about I'll send you 30 of those degrees? (103 F is 39 C).
Hi Meezer friends. Stay cool. I hope you're going with your pawrents to the prayer time at church. Might want to leave dog guy at home. Barking at church is frowned upon I think.
MOL, Timo...We don't think they would like our Meezer singing either...we yowl!

Have a great day and don't let any bees sting you, MOL! Have safer fun with some Marienkäfer(s)...
Pipo & Minko
We're purring that you are staying safe and the fires stay far away from you. It's still hot here. Yesterday was the coolest day of the week, 92. All next week will be near 100.
It dribbled for five seconds while Mom drove to the store. It got cloudy, started dribbling and then it stopped right away. Mom didn't even have to use her windshield wiper, that's how little it was. We need lots more rain.
Thank you fur the beautiful picture. The bees are being nice to me. Marienkäfer are safer, you're right. Poooh, the heat and humidity hangs on here. Glad that you are having a nice day.
Have a nice day everyfur and stay cooool.
Purrs fur everyone in need
We have had very hot weather and then it broke on Friday Night.
From 100 to 70. Very odd with periods of heavy heavy rain then nothing.
We really are sad fur the Farmers who do so much fur our Country. Purayers that this awful weather stops soon.
