Arrival Story:
We missed Arty so much after he went to the bridge that we decided to adopt another kitty. We looked for several days and several adoption centers. It came down to just two kitties. Rocky was much more outgoing than the other kittyand he chose us !
Bio:
The first day after we adopted Rocky we took him to our vet to check him over to make sure that he was healthy. The adoption center's vet said that he was in perfect health! " NOT !" Our vet did all kinds of tests on him and found that he had severe Gingivitis and needed immediate care or he would loose his teeth. The vet also took X-rays and discovered that he had been abused as a young kitten. He had also been exposed to FLIV and this made his immune system week and probably the cause of Gingivitis.
All that was two and a half years ago. Rocky still takes meds for Gingivitis and some other minor problems but, he has become a very loving and friendly cat.
He loves to be groomed and even likes hes feet to be brushed on the bottoms!
He is always playing and getting into trouble whenever he has the opportunity.
Although Rockefeller will never replace Arty, he is a real joy to have around and always knows how to intertain us.
