This afternoon I was scooped up 'n put in my "short trip" carrier. Yup, Mam 'n Da were taking me to the v*e*t. I've been laying back reely lots lately, not eating....mostly sleeping. Not playing with my feathers or bottle rings. Mam decided it was time to get me checked out. Oh my whiskers! First they gave me a kitty poo poo platter to see if there was anything on it that I found tasty. Friskies grill was pretty good. Then they took blood 'n urine samples 'n dey reely reely hurt! I cried 'n cried while they had those nasty needles stuck in me. It turns out I was a little dehydrated so I had to have some IV fluids... not much, just enough to help me feel better. My lymph nodes are a little swelled, so gave me an appetite stimulant 'n antibiotic, 'n Mam brought more home wif her. She got a Pill Popper to help give them to me - she didn't know about them until she read somefur's diary - she doesn't remember whose, but she says "thank you so much!"

When I got home, Mam gave me a little bit of some different food 'n I ate it. Then she 'n Da went out for dinner 'n left me home alone with an empty pink heart-shaped food dish that says "Princess" on the bottom. Not fair!! They were going to be eating enchiladas 'n fajitas 'n I had nothing!! By the time they got home, I was starving!!! "N I let her know loud 'n clear when she came in the door 'n didn't stop 'til she gave me some more.

After I ate, we checked our e-mails 'n to my surprise, we learned that I won a purrize in a Hallowe'en contest held by my Canadian furriends, Callie Rose, Tom Tom, Miss Goldie 'n Handsome! I am so, so honored that these kitties, who live in Nova Scotia, would choose little ol' me to win their contest! prrrt! I think that's just about the nicest thing effur! They gave me zealies too! That is reely supreme because I have started to run pretty low for this early in the month. I jus' love giving zealies......

It has been quite a day! Even tho I do not like going to the v*e*t, I must confess that Mam 'n I are so pleased that I am feeling better so quickly. I am so lucky that Mam keeps such a good eye on me!
