Arrival Story:
Please CLICK HERE to see more of Mom's CAT PHOTOS ~~~~~~ My family say I'm a cutie and a survivor, and I have one brown eye with a detached retina and one green eye, and together they do a fine job of helping mezip up and down stairs faster than the speed of delight. When I was at the vet, a nice lady in the waiting room heard me mention that Minnie and I missed her baby sister Daisy so much, and that we would like a new member of the family - a cat who was an adult and not too big, since Minnie is so small. That lady was Hillary's rescue Mom, and Hillary was there with her! Her rescue Mom loved Hillary, but felt it would be best for her to get a new home. After rescue Mom and I had some great talks, I visited Hillary at her rescue home, where the mushball of energy played and played with a peacock feather. The next week I brought her home with me, just before the end of 2008. Yay!

When the family kitten Hillary lived with moved out of their home, they left her locked up there for one week without food or water. Bad! When the new family moved in, they put her in the street. Bab! Later she had a kitten. A caring, responsible student of rescue Mom fed her enough to help her go on and to feed her kitten, but he knew the two needed to get out of the cold and wet. So this compassionate student told rescue Mom all about Hillary and her kitten and how concerned he was about them. Hillary's rescue Mom then took her - and her kitten, who went to a safe shelter before Christmas - to her home a couple of months ago. Hillary had wonderful, loving care from that Mom, who usually rescues kittens, and is a special, blessed person. When we met, she felt it was time for Hillary, who was a year old, to get her new home. BELIEVE.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Hurricane Hillary!

My 3rd birthday is today, and I have been with my family for 2 years now - Wow!

I love looking out the big front window and the back and side windows, but never try to sneak out the door because, in my own way, I remember how hard it was being out on my own much of my first year, keeping my kitten safe even when it was freezing so she could be adopted, and I'm so happy to be home where I'm warm, safe and fed. My newest favorite spot is sitting on the living room couch, very comfy.

Summer Windows and Papa L are so much fun!

Does life get any better than this? Now that the weather's nicer, Papa L opens the windows so I can sit on the ledge and look at all the birds and people through the screen. And when Mom goes out, I get to stay with Papa L because we both have so much fun keeping each other company!

My older sister Minnie won't budge as often when I want her spot at the bay window. I guess she got tired of me wanting whichever side she happened to be on, and - when she moved - then wanting to be in that spot, and - when she moved again.... Oh well, there are still plenty of fun games to play - like "Let's zip up and down the stairs as fast as we can!"

Hurricane Hillary (and old laptop)

My big sister Minnie - well, she's older, but smaller - and I can be in same room for quite some time now, but eventually one of us chases the other. Usually I chase Minnie, which is one of the reasons Mom often calls me HURRICANE HILLARY now. Another reason is that I often zip around the place as fast and hard as a hurricane.

Because Mom's monitor died a few days ago, we're keeping up online with an old laptop that's trusty, but cranky and extremely slow. We will keep up much better with our sincere thanks for the wonderful gifts we get once Mom can use computer that doesn't literally make her head hurt after a while :D

Happy Day after Valentine's Day + Day before Presidents' Day!
