Memories of Sweet Burleous written by his Mama.

When Burleous first came to my house, it was on Dec. 12th, 2007, 2 days after Amber had passed away. He did not look very healthy. After a few days he came up on the front porch, and I was able to check him out. Then we fattened him up. He did not like other animals, especially dogs. He did not want to come into the house. At that time we had 4 dogs.

Burleous stayed outside on the front porch and hung out in our front yard. He was very independent, and did not play with any of the other cats.

When I moved last December for a few months, he came with me. The placed I moved to he became an indoor kitty. Burleous started to become a different cat. Started to show more trust, became buddies with Rusty, Ralph and Daisy. At night they would play the kitty 500!

For the first time, he showed signs of comfort, love and that he was very content. Our good friend Adam Chewbacca sent the kitties some kitty blankets for Christmas. Burleous slept on one every night, on the floor right next to my bed. It always comforted me to know he was there by me.

I have Epilepsy and one day I wasn't feeling well, so I layed down on the bed. Burleous jumped up on the bed, which he rarely did and layed by my side. Then he came closer to me and leaned his body next to mine. I had a seizure, but it wasn't near as strong as some have been. Burleous you are and will ALWAYS be my Little Angel.

My health had gotten worse, so I moved back to where I was living. Shortly before we moved back, Burleous didn't look well. When I first took him to the vet, they said he had major dental problems, which is why he was having a hard time eating. They put him on Antibiotics. After taking the 10 days worth of meds, he started to gain weight, then all of a sudden he dropped his weight again. Then thats when I took him to the vet for the 2nd time and found out he was in the last stages of Feline Aides, which litterally broke my heart. I will never forget him looking into my eyes, shortly before he passed.

Burleous was a trusting soul. Even though he had a hard life before he came to our house he showed me how important it was to risk, to show and give love.

I miss you my Boy. You will be forever missed, but NRVER FORGOTTEN!
