Arrival Story:
Mom came into PetSmart's Adoption Center (Hosted by Cats About Town Society) to look at cats and saw two that she liked. She went home and looked at their info on the website and that's where she saw me. When she came back Saturday morning, she played with all three of us, but decided that I was the kitty for her! The other kitty she really liked that day, Isis, also got adopted on Saturday. I had to stay at PetSmart for a week because Mom and Dad were traveling over the Christmas Holiday and they didn't want to bring me home and then turn around and leave me all alone. I have been abandoned enough, thank you!

Bio:
Coco was somebody's cat. She was picked up by the city animal control as a stray, but had been spayed and declawed. The city shelter called C.A.T.S. to tell them they were going to euthanize Coco, but they thought she had adoption potential, so they picked her up from the shelter and brought her to PetSmart. The rest is history waiting to be made!

Well, Coco seems to have developed a fear of just about everyone but me. When Justin comes over, she hides. When Russ walks into a room, she runs. She has become my little clinging vine. Her latest habit is to want to climb up and put her front feet over my left shoulder and her back feet on the waistband of my pants/shorts and just SIT THERE. Sometimes she chews on my hair while she's there. Little monster. This happens in two places..... when I am sitting at my computer and when I am sitting at my craft table. Probably because both have chair that I can tip back a bit. It makes working on anything most difficult. Especially when her tail is swishing back and forth in front of my face. Or when she is purring in my ear. I can't complain TOO much because she is showing me love and affection, but it's still a pain in the butt. She also seems to think that every time I go into the kitchen, I am there to feed her wet food. She gets half of a small "can" every evening when I am fixing dinner. That's when she ALWAYS gets it. But that doesn't stop her from expecting to be fed every other time I'm in the kitchen. What a nut.

Mommy had some fun today.....

The vet said yesterday that I will turn two this year, probably in the Spring. So Mommy looked at the Pet Horoscope charts and determined that I am probably a Taurus with Aquarius Rising. Whatever that means.

Based on a bunch of charts of where the planets and stars and stuff were, she figured I was probably born on April 27th or 28th between 10PM and Midnight (that gets me the Aquarius rising).

To figure out which one, she went to some poem about "Monday's Child". She figured that Saturday didn't fit me since "Saturday's Child works hard for a living". Hey now!!!!

I guess I'm OK with Friday since "Friday's Child is loving and giving". That seems to fit me, so Friday, April 27, 2007 will now be "celebrated" as my birth date!

Mommy is also happy to have a child with a diamond for a birthstone. Guess she thinks I am a good excuse for some new bling? I think a diamond studded collar would look SMASHING on ME! LOL!

I am not amused.

OK. I admit it. I've been scratching at my left ear. A lot. Mommy looked in it the other day, but couldn't see anything. She looked again last night and found that I had scratched myself and had a little bloody spot in there and upon further investigation, she saw something ICKY. So this morning, I was napping away and she came in with the carrier and ushered me into it and took me BACK TO PETSMART! EEK! What did I do wrong? Was I being returned?

Well, we ended up at the vet clinic there where I had a FULL examination [ACK!] and then got my ears washed out and some nasty medicine put in them! NOT A FUN MORNING! Then when we got home, I went to get some food and Mommy took all my blankies AND my cubby away! I hid under the bed.
