Ice Stones Falling Again!

So the ice stones fell from the sky again yesterday and stopped and started and stopped and started so Leah and I did the primitive cat dance to the rain and storm and wind outside and to the skies outside to let the ice stones know to stay outside again and they obliged. We stretched and pawed against the window and clawed and hissed and I yowled angrily at the stones to let them know that they weren’t welcome in the house to keep to the outside. The ice stones landed on the grass in the falling rain and were lit up by the lightening which was good because otherwise might have been hard to see them with the power flickering off and on and our light was off too -- so we could watch the stones melt into the grass and turn to water. Don’t underestimate the power of the primitive cat dance as it truly seems to help and to appease the anger of the thrower of the ice stones which is the skies and clouds themselves throwing them at the earth! Mother was the one who said this time where is my camera when I need it? Yes, you should get our primitive cat dance on film to help out the other cats who might need it so they can protect their homes and houses and people! We ignored Mother when she came in the room to check on us as we were too busy primitive cat dancing in the window to stop and eventually turned when the stones stopped falling for a few minutes but the lightening was still flashing and the rain still falling and the thunder crashing and the wind still swirling around the house, just to make sure she was okay and she was. She came back later and took a nap in the room with us for awhile long past midnight which was good. Takoda wandered off to dog bait and to find Mel and he got into the room with Morse and her after teasing the dogs for a little while and curled up at Mel’s feet to sleep a bit and then up to Morse. Again Mother said she wished she had her camera that she never had it when she needed it.

Long day too cause Takoda and Leah played chase in and out of the room endlessly so hard for a cat to get a good nap in, but of course I’m the eldest here and Leah is barely out of kitten hood and Takoda is still a baby cat even if big for one. Wish that Caelan Kian would visit again as he has such a calming influence on the two of them and he loves Mother as much as me and Leah do. Sigh. Maybe soon.

THE PRIMITIVE CAT DANCE: Variations but goes something like this = stretch extend claws straight out stretch in window sill or on top of air conditioner where we prefer to do the dance. Like a bow to the winds Mother calls it or to the elements. Arch back and hiss at the wind and falling ice stones. Get up on two legs and claw rapidly at glass and hiss and yowl and mreow and meow! Sit down and yowl! And mreow and meow head up toward skies. Repeat in variations. Walk back and forth passing each other on top of air conditioner. Fluff tail and shake fluffed tail if necessary. Arch back and hiss and hiss and hiss. Stretch again and hiss. Repeat in variations as necessary to scare away the ice stones and the wind. Remember to tap claws and paws against window to make noise to scare the wind & ice stones!!!!
