Supposed to be from my hiding places isn’t it? Today I was out in plain site for the world outside to see and Leah & I are very grateful to Mel for leaving our lamp off and giving us the tv sometimes. We don’t like the lamp and its glaring bulb. Yes, it has a shade on it, but from our view normally below it, that light bulb is awful! We do like the people on the tv talking to us in their low voices and showing us places they travel and the food they eat! Yesterday we watched Mel & Mother outside with the dogs in the early morning light from our front window. They were taking the big rolling garbage can and the recycling bins out to the street. So that’s what happens to all the trash! Good. Less for the dogs to scatter around the house that stinky trash though we had great fun day before yesterday when Mother got out a roll of toilet paper and left it in our room. We unrolled it all over the place and didn’t care that Mother said we were bad cats! Why did you leave it in the room then? All items that might become play objects are the property of the cats and we will thank you to remember this fact for future reference Mother. We were highly amused at your reaction and that’s why we just stared at you. Teach you not to come into our room to visit with us as often as we like. Got your attention didn’t it and that’s all we wanted, a little attention! Just like the roll of paper towels, well partial roll you left in our room yesterday when you were on the way by and just stopped in for a few minutes. WE appreciated the attention and quite a few times a day a few minutes is good, but when you didn’t come back to retrieve those paper towels for ages, okay hours, why were you so upset when me and Leah and Crow decided to shred the outer layers and turn them into strings to drag across the floor to play with them? Hmm? Give us more time and more toys and I assure you that we will ignore the paper towels the next time you leave them in the room. You’re not upset that we kept knocking down the blinds until you and Mel decided to leave them down and finally got the message that even with the blinds propped open so that we could get in and out that our exits and entrances to the window weren’t fast enough for our liking so you learned that we hated the blinds and left them down and understood that the curtains must always have an opening for us! So why be upset about shredded paper towels? Not cat blackmail either, just give us our way!
Loved the early morning yesterday and watching the birds and squirrels and chipmunks and bugs play out in the front yard! Now, we could do without that noisy garbage truck that came later in the morning and that recycling truck that came in the afternoon so perhaps you can do something about all that noise they make. After all, you’re the humans and you should have more control over the other humans.
