Had a great day yestfurday being a Daily Diary Pick! At Paw It Forward Lexi had a Hello Kitty cake for me & furiends & family stopped by to ConCat me on being a Daily Diary Pick & to help me celebrate! They had cake & plus some of the great peanut butter waffles that Hershey made for breakfast for everyfur who stopped by normally! Received paw mails concatulating me & got to be spoiled rotten yestfurday at David Dad's house though he said us cats are always spoiled rotten! Still I am owed some of the Brandon Farms 95% Sardine & other fishie type cat food some time soon in celebration. This food is especially stinky & smelly to the people so I think we enjoy it all the more as the humans practically gag if they have to be near us while we are eating it! Will purr more later as for right now it's time for yowl tag in the dark! We were playing that & then our people woke up & started throwing things around trying the make us hush. For some reason they're not as nocturnal as we are lately & actually want to sleep all the way through the night just lately. They said they liked it better when we were playing more in the day time.
Love to you, Thomasina

Can't believe it! We were checking to see if any of our furiends were Daily Diary Picks or Cat of the Day & there was my diary on the list! Thanks Catster! Haven't even caught up my diary yet with the events at home or the events of this weekend past though I will start doing that today some time. We went to a great wonderpurr Roaring Twenties party @ Dogster Junction & I got to be Louise Brooks a famous, very famous flapper actress of the 1920's! We also went on a tour for C&D Cruise Lines of Australia. We missed the P*I*F Annifursary party, however, although I'm all dressed up for it as we kept waiting for the others on our pages to contact us and tell us they were going & while we were waiting David Dad fell asleep. Turns out they never did get to go because they had company and Rob was over at their house, BabyCat's Daddy Rob & so couldn't go either. Will catch up & meow about all of those events later & by tomorrow on what's going on here at David Dad's home. He says we're being bad -- don't know why as we're just being cats & yowling a great deal. If he doesn't like yowling, why does he have so many Siamese cats in his house? Why does it bother him when we yowl across the house at each other?
Love to you & Many Yowls, Thomasina The Countess of Monte Cristo

C@T = Thanks to Catster for making me a Daily Diary Pick!

All the other cats have already meowed about it by now, so we had fun & go to the diaries of one of the other cats under family although maybe not all meowed about it know that BabyCat did & read about it & I'll just say it was a great party with a mermaid cat & dolphins with a scuba driver & Nemo Fish cats & cats that gave dune buggy tours on the sandy beach next to the pool by the ocean & the food was cat-tabulous with grilled salmon & swordfish & lobster the cats' favorite sort of foods & everyfur had a great time or seemed to have a wonderpurr time. Not going to jinx the next costume party after what happened at the Sci Fi one though & will just keep that one hidden until after we attend it. Maybe the day of the party will meow the details.

Love having Takoda Crow here with us! He's great fun & he & Caelian Kian have a blast playing together & running around the house & leaving trails of paper bits & toilet paper where they have unwound the rolls! David Dad says part of the time Caelian will be staying at Meli Mom's with the part Himalayan cat Crow Raven just because the combination of Caelian Kian & Takoda Crow is just a little much to take. They like to have yowling contests in the middle of the night while the people are trying to sleep too & then the dogs start howling & if any burglars were outside they would run like crazy afraid of whatever the devil is in the house. Well, tired & need to get up tonight to yowl with them, so need a nap for now.
Love to you, Thomasina
C@T = Thanks for my lovely sunflower to the cats Karma Kitty & Bobbi Boi & Charlie Clarence & Punkin Pooh! Looks just beautiful on my page & brightens it up like a flower sun. Hope that you have a great day & a great week too!

The Sci Fi Party & A Visit from Takoda Crow & before that- Mother...

Think that our cat furiends are right & that we should just pretend that we were there the entire time! We did get to read back through the party finally & it looked like fun & it felt like we were there the entire time! So we had a great time reading back after the fact! Tried to say something to Catster but we couldn't get the message to go through so maybe it was Catster! Don't know....

Crow came over & we had a great time playing chase & knocking things down all over the house & then David Dad yelled at us just because he didn't change our special pee box litter box so we peed on the bed & on some towels & on the floor! Chasing is thirsty work so we ran around all day & he said he knew three cats that were in big trouble & that he spanked cats! Oh yeah? You have to catch us to spank us! Did you ever catch us? NO! Your fault! You didn't change the pee box! Do you actually expect us to pee the same place we poop? We've always had two litter boxes so what's the big deal? Crow suggested it too cause he did that at his house when Meli Mom forgot to refill his & Lilly Cat's pee box. He says that they have yet a fourth litter box for all cats visitors and those who live there out in the hall with a big cover on it now too. That's a good sign for a cat, multiple litter boxes. You have more than one bathroom don't you? Anyway silly David sprayed us with water & missed more than he hit & we hissed at him & like that didn't cause us to run all over the house knocking things down & getting into mischief. David Dad said he would be happy when Crow went home tomorrow.

Mother came to visit us the other day. She walked & we're a little ways from her, but she just had to see me & Caelian & she couldn't get David Dad's phone number to work (it wasn't working) & she didn't want to bother Meli Mom. When Mel got up she went looking for Mother & just fussed at her. She told her that wasn't a short walk & that she should have at least taken Dion on the leash with her. Dion would have had a great time with the two dogs here but Pinto would have been jealous. Mother can't handle both of them together for longer walks, just short ones so she wouldn't have been able to bring Pinto. Mel was upset & so was Mother because all Mother was doing was walking & she had just washed her hair & changed her clothes put on the shirt she had washed out the night before & a couple of people drove by & kept driving by her & stopping her & asking her if she was okay & if she needed a ride like it was the strangest thing in the world to go on a walk. She looked at her feet to see if her shoes were tied & she got really mad especially since someone called the cops on her while she was on the way home and said that a homeless person was walking around in the neighborhood. David Dad said she didn't look homeless at all and that she was walking just fine and that they have some problem neighbors who call the police at the drop of a hat --- sounds like someone near Mother's house who would be happy if the two streets around her became a sea of abandoned houses and no one was around so that she didn't have to deal with people. Yeah, Mother has a neighbor like that too & David Dad's older female relative pointed out that maybe Mother's people hating neighbor could have called the cops because that one called the cops when she went over to see Mother & to look at the feral box out back because she wants a Calico if another feral one turns up & knows that Daddy Rob got more than one feral around their house. The cops left her alone when she let them know she was going to see Mother & the dogs is what she said & she got Dion & Pinto & walked them around the yard and the dogs knew her -- a few weeks back now -- so they went on their way & said sorry to bother her. Problem seems to be we have some in our two neighborhoods that just don't like old people & want them to stay out of sight & out of mind.

But we had a great time playing with Crow! We will be sorry to see him return home tomorrow & hope that he doesn't have to go back until late. Hide & Seek & Chase & bell balls & bat wads of paper around the floor & knock things down & great games we played. We have napped all curled up together & have bird & squirrel watched together although we will be happy when they get the badly remodeled replaced window torn out & restore it back to the old way it was last year!
Love to you, Thomasina

== Mother's hair was dry & she had dried out her shirt over night too so she wasn't dripping water & her clothes weren't torn up or overly faded & even if the clothes had been faded that wouldn't make her homeless. Idiots.

Science Fiction Costume Birthday WoofDay Bash for Robin- Hood!

Yes, I'm already in costume so I can be a vampire cat for a couple of days. The costume is for Robin Hood's birthday bash Science Fiction themed at Dogster Junction tomorrow Saturday, August 8, 2009 @ Dogster time 5 p.m. The group says the invite will be open for the party in the Social Club thread but we joined all the same. All of us are putting the group link and invite copy & paste addresses at the bottom of our entries so if you read it you will have time to find a costume at the Kimi shop or to make your own if you know how. The invite does say, however, that you don't have to dress up but to come anyway to see all the crazy characters. Yes, I'm one of those crazy characters and our humans would keep our costumes under wraps and hidden to be a surprise but can't because then we might be late and might not have time to load the photos or "change clothes" or something might go wrong as happened before with our photos being treated like they were diseased by Windows Vista operating system. Hard to struggle with changing clothes and yowling meowing barking at a party at the same time! Also loading the photos caused the system to freeze at times which is like leaving the party over & over & returning and then having to catch up with all said, shown, done...

This is a great Science Fiction themed party for vampires like myself, Star Trek as in Trekkies, Star Wars, aliens, and other Science Fiction characters if you want to wear a costume. So will yowl anything else some other time. People need to hit the snooze button and go back to sleep for a little while.
Love to all, Thomasina The Countess of Monte Cristo & Vampire Countess for a couple of days that last...

Should have said on the Ice Cream Social that someone posted for us once each and then we made it in and had to catch up on what was said and you know how that goes when someone posts or you do and a whole page or two goes by, but it was luckily not moving too fast at Kitthaven (Welcome to Kitthaven Estates) and we were happy to get to go and eat some ice cream. Now the humans owe us some real cat safe ice cream containing no chocolate because don't want to foam at the mouth the way Lilly Cat did.

Otherwise we are great! Except when I can't find Caelian or he can' t find me as meowed before. They just can't comfort us either and have to try to find the one of us hidden and yowling so the other day Caelian batted a bunch of things off of counters and shelves because he was yowling and I was yowling and we couldn't hear each other because we were both yowling so loud! And I refused to come out and Caelian refused to allow them to bring him to the room where I was yowling but could NOT be seen so finally they had to throw a sheet over him to attempt to get him to the room, but that didn't work and he escaped but as he ran he could hear me and so ran to me and we hid out from those evil people who were trying to capture us with sheets -- not me really as they put a box out and thought I would just walk into it and be trapped like that was going to happen ever. Why they might have been trying to trap us to stick needles into us for shots or take us to that evil person they call the vet who would separate us and stick cold needles into us. No, oh no, not going to the evil vet man! Neither of us much cares for car rides either and maybe they were planning to make us go for a car ride. Yes, we go when we visit people but sometimes we're going to that stupid pet store where idiots think they can stick their fingers into our carriers and we don't like going to the pet store! Don't care if they're buying things for us, don't like the stupid pet store. They let dogs wander around free in that pet store and don't think we didn't see that vet in there! Oh yes we did! They do have some nice birds in cages and these furry mouse things called gerbils though and those are fun to watch but we spend far too little time on those aisles. Something about needing carriers and needing to have us in carriers with them, but they were out of whatever they wanted so we have to go back or order them. Sigh. If we have to go back, one of them needs to stay on the gerbils and bird aisle and we'll be fine while the other one wanders the store. Only really good thing about that store is that aisle -- food aisle who cares? It's all packaged up in bags and cans and not great smells until that stuff is opened as too many smells in the store to interfere with the food smells. Toys? Okay, how are we to get an idea of whether we will like it when it's all packaged up too? Use our imaginations? NO, you just go alone or tap it into that computer thing and order it and take a chance cause you're good at guessing what we will like so take a chance on the toys thing.

Time for a nice nap so that we can run around the house and make noises all night long!
Love to you, Thomasina

Cruise to South America, Kitthaven Ice Cream Social,- etcetera....

Actually our people where I am staying just forgot about the cruise until this evening and then it was the end of the 1950's party & we weren't changed for it and so we didn't even make an appearance. We just read Dion's and it's oh whoops! We made the wedding on the cruise line and at least someone remembered to meow for us at the Ice Cream social and our people made the end of that one, but cruise? Ut oh, oh no! They had things to do around the house this weekend and were so busy and so computer? What's that? Oh yes that thing we normally are on all the time or at least have up. That thing we turned off for the weekend and remembered to turn back on for the Ice Cream social because we promised to be there and made part of it, well all of it since our family was there for us thank the cats above! At least we made it to the cruise wedding and remembered to board the ship and somehow we magically left the ship and reappeared home....

Caelian & I are doing great! We give our people major problems still just any time we are separated from each other for a few minutes and can't find each other. We both go berserk especially when one of us starts meowning and yowling in one room of the house and the one in another part of the house hears and begins racing around frantically trying to find the other one trying to figure out just where the yowling is in the house of the other cat. We have fun sunning together in one room of the house and hiding out together and playing together. Sometimes we have fun wreaking havoc upon things we're not supposed to touch together too.

Will have to yowl later about anything else since our foster Dad is very tired and so is our foster Mom or our caretakers for now I should call them and need to sleep. Busy weekend cleaning up and getting things done and they're both just utterly exhausted so good night for now. If anyone wakes up we will visit groups in the wee hours and meet any family there!
Love to all, Thomasina the Countess of Monte Cristo

** Caelian will catch up his diary later. Our humans eyes can't stay open for now so we plan to stalk around the house in the darkness there while they sleep.

Hello from Elsewhere!!!!

Strange not to be in Mother's home right now though I do get to see her at least once or twice per week! I do miss her but truly I just can't live without Caelian Kian and his current people although he is Mother's too and will be in a house with her and me one day soon, his current people have discovered that it's a bad idea not to check and make sure especially before they sleep that Caelian and I are in the same room or have a way around to reach each other. You have never heard such Siamese yowling in your life if we are separated and can't reach each other! They said they've never seen Siamese cats or really any cats for that matter be so enamored of each other that each had to know where the other was every waking moment of the day! If they separate us, Caelian turns back into Poltergeist cat but this time the smashing also involves cat yowling and cat banshee howling at the top of his lungs enough to scare away anyone prowling around outside and to scare any true ghosts or spirits in the house into another room at least if not back into the next realm. I am just as bad howl yowling until Caelian and I are reunited! My furiend cat and my best furiend in the whole wide world and I will turn into the assassin cat if anything happens to him. The people with whom I am staying have discovered that my name of Countess of Monte Cristo is very accurate if I can't find Caelian as I fly around claws unsheated and mouth looking for something to latch onto and bite if I cannot reach him.
Cat Yowls to all, Thomasina The Countess of Monte Cristo

C@T = Thanks to Itsumo for my lovely beach ball! Caelian and I will have great fun playing with it and will avoid puncturing it with our claws although we have a patch kit! Happy Meowy Day to you Itsumo!!!!

Cruise to Spain

So I wasn’t supposed to got to Spain but somehow ended up on the ship and in activities photos and that’s because I have a stowaway with me -- yes, that’s right Caelian Kian is with me and Mel promised that sometime today somehow some way she will find a way to add him to our pages. My beloved friend cat who I would not leave behind to go on the cruise and who is in the cabin with me right now! Guess he will have to join and become and official member of the cruise because that’s not good -- not even a member of Catster and he’s at a group with me and hiding out with me! Will do my thanks below and then let Mel add Caelian to Catster…

C@T = Thanks to Miss Dixie Monroe for the diamond and group welcome!
C@T = Thanks to Sammie, Kiki, & Ember for the American flag and the fourth of July message!
C@T = Thanks to Chai Latte Capone for the flag and the welcome to Meezer Junction and we will put up our pussports very soon! Hopefully today!
C@T = Thanks to Edwina (Eddy) for the tasty cold grape drink and the game of ice cream tag!
C@T = And again even if already thanked then thanks again to Madison ^Paws^ for my lovely rainbow star!

My Soul Mate Cat

July 10th 2009 12:12 pm

Was supposed to go on a cruise but Caelian Kian isn’t on a Catster page yet and I’m not going without him. I’ll just stay home with him -- not exactly at home most days. I’m staying with whichever friends at the moment have Caelian Kian or at his parents human ones home. I go home to visit Mother a couple of times per week and sometimes even spend the night but they have learned that if Caelian doesn’t come with me that I wail and yowl and caterwaul and carry on like a Banshee all night long. That’s one reason Mother agreed to the great feral cat socialization experiment that the friends are conducting because it means that I am rarely ever separated from Caelian. He’s on the experimental program to try and stop him from destroying the house when his people are away. However, as I have become so very attached to Caelian and as Mother loves me so dearly and cannot give me up, Caelian’s people have agreed that Caelian Kian is very definitely Mother’s cat too. She is his Mother now, but we’re not brother and sister because Caelian is my soul mate cat.

Mother couldn’t stand it any more the way I carried on in the room and got into the window and watched him driven away by his human. I would start carrying on the moment he was out of sight yowling my head off and pacing the room and picking fights with Leah as if she were the cause of his departure. Maybe I thought if she could go visit he could stay. Never before had I attempted to escape from the house but I started slinking around and watching for my chance to get out the door to try and go find him. Every time he left I was just heart broken and convinced he wouldn’t be back. I was joyous every time he returned so finally Mother agreed because her cat was upset and sad and distraught that I could go stay with the friends when need be and shift around with Caelian my beloved male friend cat. Caelian is much more social than I am and is better at tolerating people around him though I hid at first. But I can’t bear for him to be away from me for too long so I tolerate going out in the open and having my head petted as long as he’s there and I can curl up to him. He isn’t tolerant for being petted for long time periods so we’re fine, good together.

Every time Caelian left I yowled and cat howled and carried on like the world was ending and I could go on for hours, could walk into another room and hide and yowl howl from under the bed from inside the closet, hide where they had to search for me in other parts of the house and howl out my despair that my friend cat was gone, wasn’t with me any more. That was it. She told Mel she was being cruel that I needed to be with my love. Mel was going to make arrangements for her loved Crow to stay with some friends so Caelian could be here, but Mother said no, that Caelian was a beautiful cat and that people walking by just stared up at the house when he sat in the windows and she was very afraid that he would be stolen -- big guy but just lovely long Siamese fur so off to Caelian’s house I went. Yes, I am still Mother’s cat but so is Caelian now and one day soon we hope we will live with her fulltime again and not just part time not just for visits. I have a soul mate cat in Caelian Kian.

Love to all, Thomasina The Countess of Monte Cristo

Feral Socialization

July 6th 2009 9:43 pm

The reason that I am not participating in groups much right now and that I'm not talking meowing much is because much of the time I am not here. I am between two and three friends houses in an experimental attempt to socialize feral cats and to re-domesticize former house cats gone feral. Seems to be working for the most part and I'm becoming more social and less vicious with my claws and teeth and friendlier towards other cats and people. I do get to visit my home and play with Leah and sometimes Lilly but I don't stay there on a constant basis. I go back & forth and Mother wasn't as wary of this method as Mel was who was not for it but Mother agreed and I was off with Mel just fussing about it. Some of our friends have had Siamese cats go feral before so they were fascinated with the idea of finding ways to feral retrieve these cats and re-acclimate them to people and to the idea of actually being domestic pets again and not wild things. I was very wild when I first arrived here, had been so betrayed by people that I wasn't much interested in people just hated most of them. Loved other cats though and could even get along with Morse who is a big affable guy but he is so jealous of any other kitty cat with his Mom Mel (Meli Mom) and is very possessive of her although he puts up with her love for the dogs and he knew that I was Mother's so he put up with me. He also puts up with the feral rescues retrievals because they're going to leave and he is the one attracting some of them, the ones like him especially, to this house although he does miss them when they stop visiting and stop staying over night because they've been placed. However, one other one is being kept by some friends for Mel a beautiful tough guy big male orange tabby and Morse knows and puts up with it. Maurice was supposed to be Mom's but a teen in the extended family a big tall guy was just so fascinated by the thought that a cat could be a big guy too and just had to have him, just visited frequently and one day he just left with him and Mel really wanted him to bring Maurice back but it was obvious this guy just loved that cat so she let him have Maurice. This other cat that is Mel's that is being kept by friends and who does like the friends and does get to visit, is Mel's and is a wonderpurr furiend to Henry (Inspector Morse) and so will remain Mel's cat so if you're reading this teens and kids just remember that is Mel's cat!

The others may start participating in groups for me part of the time as Rob has helped do for me in the past. Eventually this will convince them that they want a Catster account of their own in particular a plus account so they can put up great photos of us Siamese cats as not all are as allergic to the camera as am I. Eventually there will be more and better pics of me as one reason we do the Kimi's is usually only part of my photo is clear. The rest is blurry because I am moving away from that camera as fast as I can go! Otherwise many photos exist of me as just part of me such as just my face just my face and upper body my back side as it goes under the bed or into a hide out box, etc. I tell you the camera does capture the soul! It does! It can freeze your soul not always and forever but for great moments in time and you have to fight to get your soul back so the more photos they take of you the harder the battle is! Just remember that cat fact!

Ice Cream Tag From Crow! Ice Cream Tag Round #2

Of course you would play first so now I want to be a different ice cream not the same as you! Plus I've already played once so I'm going to be a different ice cream this time!

French Vanilla which tends to be more tan or beige (not always yellowy) with a great dark espresso mocha sauce!

C@T = Thanks for the flag to Chai Latte Capone and the welcome to Meezer Junction! Hope you have a happy fourth of July and we look forward to playing with the other Meezers (Siamese cats) at the group! Thanks for the invitation! We know we'll love it there!

Oh, I'm taggin Inspector Morse as the family member and I too will have to check for which friends have already played and read diaries again to figure out just who hates tag and might get offended if asked to play! Might name them in my diary after they accept and play!

Ice Cream Tag

Time to play tag from Edwina Eddy: What kind of ice cream am I?
Very definitely chocolate ripple which is vanilla with chocolate layers but I'm more of a real vanilla bean vanilla rather than white vanilla with a little bit of caramel thrown in!

Sorry it took me so long to play and thanks for the great drink! I've been away at other houses going from here to there and back again learning to be more social with humans. A friend's idea and it is working very well so far.

On tag, so many get upset when they get tagged that we just don't list those we tag any more most of the time although I will tag some other cats and let them play if they want and if they don't want to play then that's fine too and I can tag somefur else, but don't want to get anyfur upset listing them in my diary so that others might tag them when they don't like tag!

Thanks for tagging me Edwina Eddy.

C@T = Thanks for the refreshing grape drink Edwina Eddy!

If I can get anyfur to play ice cream tag then I might list them on my diary page -- after they play.... I love tag and think that's the first time I've ever been tagged and gotten to play. Never finished looking at the volume of paw mails from when we were down those 90 days so if I didn't play then or any of us cats didn't, don't be offended because we would have played if we had been up!

We are NOT old cats and certainly Takoda Crow is still a kitten and still playful and loves to climb the drapes and to play chase and hide 'n seek, but Lilly is even driving him crazy. She is like a monster when the room door is closed and tied shut not so hard shut that we couldn't get out if we wanted but she goes into a major catniption fit panic and starts rattling the door and mreowing and yowling and cat howling and cauterwauling until she gets that door open or someone comes to check on her. She is driving us crazy, just straight up the wall and we have tried giving her a good bat of the paw but that doesn't work and makes it worse and then she chases us around the room yowling and cat crying like she might be dying and trying to rub up against us and lay across us. Claustrophobic cat and not the first one I've met but a very bad case indeed. Rob accidentally grabbed Leah our friend and family cat or so he says. Crow and I have our doubts and think that Lilly was driving him so crazy that he needed a day or two vacation from her and that he accidentally on purpose left her here and then accidentally on purpose took Leah home with him instead of Lilly the lunatic. She is a silly little girl cat, just zoooooming around the room at high speed and turning on the walls by putting her paw up and bouncing off of them in an accurate depiction of bouncing off the walls. Spastic. Know she is a kitten and a recovering feral but oh how can a cat take a nap, have some relaxing time watching the birds with Lilly around? She has to yowl howl at the birds too and scratch at the glass and sometimes lick the glass because she wants to catch and eat one so badly. She also got us into trouble because Mel thought we pooped on the bed when Lilly did it, thought that we didn't like the canned cat food and turned over the food container and took our paws and smeared it all over the sheet on the bed. No, we did NOT! She also thought Morse pooped on his bed but no, the door was open for awhile and Lilly got in so she pooped there too. Our fault in part, though. Sigh. Lilly lacks the skills a Mother cat could have given her and she does not cover anything when she uses the litter box which makes us quite angry with her and we have swatted her. She is a know it all little kitten older kitten too and so ignores our attempts to show her how to use the litter box and cover it. She uses it but likes to go against the edge and not cover it. She's not a crazy cat really, just a wild kitten trying to become a domestic indoors house cat and going totally wild in the process. Most energetic kitten I have seen in awhile too and I thought BabyCat was spastic and energetic until I met Lilly!

Ice Stones Falling Again!

So the ice stones fell from the sky again yesterday and stopped and started and stopped and started so Leah and I did the primitive cat dance to the rain and storm and wind outside and to the skies outside to let the ice stones know to stay outside again and they obliged. We stretched and pawed against the window and clawed and hissed and I yowled angrily at the stones to let them know that they weren’t welcome in the house to keep to the outside. The ice stones landed on the grass in the falling rain and were lit up by the lightening which was good because otherwise might have been hard to see them with the power flickering off and on and our light was off too -- so we could watch the stones melt into the grass and turn to water. Don’t underestimate the power of the primitive cat dance as it truly seems to help and to appease the anger of the thrower of the ice stones which is the skies and clouds themselves throwing them at the earth! Mother was the one who said this time where is my camera when I need it? Yes, you should get our primitive cat dance on film to help out the other cats who might need it so they can protect their homes and houses and people! We ignored Mother when she came in the room to check on us as we were too busy primitive cat dancing in the window to stop and eventually turned when the stones stopped falling for a few minutes but the lightening was still flashing and the rain still falling and the thunder crashing and the wind still swirling around the house, just to make sure she was okay and she was. She came back later and took a nap in the room with us for awhile long past midnight which was good. Takoda wandered off to dog bait and to find Mel and he got into the room with Morse and her after teasing the dogs for a little while and curled up at Mel’s feet to sleep a bit and then up to Morse. Again Mother said she wished she had her camera that she never had it when she needed it.

Long day too cause Takoda and Leah played chase in and out of the room endlessly so hard for a cat to get a good nap in, but of course I’m the eldest here and Leah is barely out of kitten hood and Takoda is still a baby cat even if big for one. Wish that Caelan Kian would visit again as he has such a calming influence on the two of them and he loves Mother as much as me and Leah do. Sigh. Maybe soon.
Nap time. Thomasina The Countess of Monte Cristo

THE PRIMITIVE CAT DANCE: Variations but goes something like this = stretch extend claws straight out stretch in window sill or on top of air conditioner where we prefer to do the dance. Like a bow to the winds Mother calls it or to the elements. Arch back and hiss at the wind and falling ice stones. Get up on two legs and claw rapidly at glass and hiss and yowl and mreow and meow! Sit down and yowl! And mreow and meow head up toward skies. Repeat in variations. Walk back and forth passing each other on top of air conditioner. Fluff tail and shake fluffed tail if necessary. Arch back and hiss and hiss and hiss. Stretch again and hiss. Repeat in variations as necessary to scare away the ice stones and the wind. Remember to tap claws and paws against window to make noise to scare the wind & ice stones!!!!

Surprised You Didn’t Notice!!!!

Well, Mel how could you and Mother be so nonobservant, so off as not to notice that we had a guest in our room? We kept yowling and meowing to let you know and surely you noticed that Leah looked bigger than usual some days? Oh, that’s right -- the two of you did think it odd when Leah was smaller and it turned out to be the pregnant female Calico kitty visitor, but you didn’t notice when suddenly she was bigger than usual probably because the female kitty found a furever home with Rob! So in comparison maybe Leah didn’t seem bigger! Didn’t you notice that Crow wasn’t spraying or did you still think it was him, yet you were still having to clean up the room and put down new patches of paper towel with cat tree pine pee on it? Crow was in the bedroom with Mother part of the time and other times in the bedroom with Morse (Henry), yet still the smell of male cat spray? He had been here a few days plus. Did you think that Leah moved from one window to the other that fast while you were outside and other times that the second Calico cat in the window was just Leah’s reflection? No! That was Court Jester! Male Calico cat and he is an arrogant thing too, more arrogant and convinced of his own power over people and other cats and of his own beauty than any Siamese cat or even any big orange tabby! Bossy male cat too and that’s why Crow wouldn’t stay in the room with us, why he was out and about and wandering the house and getting into Morse’s room and hanging out in Mother’s room! He’s not fond of Jester who goes by Court or Jester but rarely both unless his people are mad with him as I’m sure they are now! Cats are curious creatures and we will follow you, trail you, get into the car with you to see where you are going especially if you smell of other cats. Maybe you have another home that you’re hiding from us and have other cats. We’re jealous creatures and want to know everything about you. Court just wanted to know where his people were going, why they were petting other cats, why they were spending time with other dogs away from him. Always check the cat carrier especially if it seems a bit heavy empty and any boxes you take out. Always check the car or when possible including under the seats and the trunk if your seats fold down for extra trunk space extended. If you walk, look behind you to see if any of your cats or dogs have managed to get out to follow you. What humans don’t understand is we own you and we need an accounting of your time away from us and usually that’s an easy thing by the scents you carry that you don’t know we can smell -- of strange equipment you have touched, of the car, of food, of other people and places, bushes and trees possibly in front of buildings. You can’t fool us -- we can figure out where you’ve been!

Only other thing yestfurday was the funny incidents with Pinto Paint! Our door was open and that was just hysterically funny! Mel chasing Pinto around with water inside a toy gun and Pinto running like crazy all over the house and Morse standing watching the whole thing cat amused! And Leah wouldn’t stand her ground with Jester and I told her not to leave the room that he won that way. I yowled to her that eventually Mother or Mel would notice and that Jester would go home, but no she had to keep leaving the room and going to find Mother all upset and beside herself because a male Calico cat was trying to take her place. At least Mother and Mel have both come into check on us today before they go wherever, and Leah has gotten to stand on both of their shoulders and walk around the house and get petted and she’s purring again, though she meows that she is still miffed! She will get over it even though us cats have long memories for grievances! She likes being petted too much to stay mad and to sulk and hide as she did at first this morning.

In the Window

Supposed to be from my hiding places isn’t it? Today I was out in plain site for the world outside to see and Leah & I are very grateful to Mel for leaving our lamp off and giving us the tv sometimes. We don’t like the lamp and its glaring bulb. Yes, it has a shade on it, but from our view normally below it, that light bulb is awful! We do like the people on the tv talking to us in their low voices and showing us places they travel and the food they eat! Yesterday we watched Mel & Mother outside with the dogs in the early morning light from our front window. They were taking the big rolling garbage can and the recycling bins out to the street. So that’s what happens to all the trash! Good. Less for the dogs to scatter around the house that stinky trash though we had great fun day before yesterday when Mother got out a roll of toilet paper and left it in our room. We unrolled it all over the place and didn’t care that Mother said we were bad cats! Why did you leave it in the room then? All items that might become play objects are the property of the cats and we will thank you to remember this fact for future reference Mother. We were highly amused at your reaction and that’s why we just stared at you. Teach you not to come into our room to visit with us as often as we like. Got your attention didn’t it and that’s all we wanted, a little attention! Just like the roll of paper towels, well partial roll you left in our room yesterday when you were on the way by and just stopped in for a few minutes. WE appreciated the attention and quite a few times a day a few minutes is good, but when you didn’t come back to retrieve those paper towels for ages, okay hours, why were you so upset when me and Leah and Crow decided to shred the outer layers and turn them into strings to drag across the floor to play with them? Hmm? Give us more time and more toys and I assure you that we will ignore the paper towels the next time you leave them in the room. You’re not upset that we kept knocking down the blinds until you and Mel decided to leave them down and finally got the message that even with the blinds propped open so that we could get in and out that our exits and entrances to the window weren’t fast enough for our liking so you learned that we hated the blinds and left them down and understood that the curtains must always have an opening for us! So why be upset about shredded paper towels? Not cat blackmail either, just give us our way!

Loved the early morning yesterday and watching the birds and squirrels and chipmunks and bugs play out in the front yard! Now, we could do without that noisy garbage truck that came later in the morning and that recycling truck that came in the afternoon so perhaps you can do something about all that noise they make. After all, you’re the humans and you should have more control over the other humans.

Caelan Kian Our friend cat

We just love playdates and we had Caelan Kian come to visit us today the beautiful Balinese male. Think long haired Siamese and even lovelier than a Himalayan. Of course today he and Leah hogged the sunshine on the bed and lay in the sunbeams and napped side by side and really got on my nerves. He also ate part of my special Sardine mix food Brandon Farms but actually I was happy to share as we got half of two cans (two full cans but halved into two bowls) and Crow ate much of Leah's sardine food and shared her dish this time. I got all of the salmon flavor that way and I do so love the salmon flavored food and hate it when Mel or Mother gives us both together. Decisions, decisions -- which to eat first because I might get full too fast and not have room for the other. Caelan Kian is semi feral a former feral who was also just left behind by his people when they moved and is a friend's cat though Mother has said if we lived somewhere out in the country or some place bigger he too would be our cat. We babysit him sometimes when we have room since his people are looking for a new bigger house while the prices are down on property -- they've long needed a bigger place and have some put aside that they have been saving to get a bigger place but couldn't afford it while the real estate market was so very high. Sigh. Hope that doesn't mean that they will move so far away that Caelan never gets to visit. I enjoy batting the bell balls around with him and playing chase through Mother's closet with him. Don't understand how he wreaks such havoc with their other cats when they're away for more than a couple or so hours at a time. They have to put him in a separate room when they work and he wreaks havoc in the house then too and scatters toilet paper shredded and paper towels all over the place and knocks over water. He doesn't do that when he's a guest here and behaves nicely and loves to nap. Maybe he needs more attention but maybe it's just his environment. They thought they had a poltergeist for awhile he was such a bad kitty but the Nanny cam says it's just Caelan Kian having a blast while they're away, having a very good time.

Takoda Crow our foster child (son)

Been busy teaching Takoda Crow some manners. Young cat not quite 5 months old and he needs instruction such as thou shalt not mark territory in the female cats room via spraying it down with cat pee. Mel had to come in with a broom and sweep up after him because he likes to strew litter when he uses the litter box and Mother had to come in with the mop and some Pinesol and clean up cat pee. Crow is going to be a big male Siamese cat as at not even 5 months he is already a little bigger than me. Of course, I am a small Siamese cat not tiny but little not skinny not fat just medium at about 10 to 12 lbs and usually no more. Crow already weighs at least 12 lbs. and he is longer than me. Arrogant kitty too just sits on that bed and stares defiantly at Mel when she comes into the room daring her to say something to him but he’s always surprised that she can stare him down. Rebellious and arrogant yet & still he loves Mel, just adores her and has to leave his hiding place to go and see her. One of these days he’s going to let her pet him actually pet him instead of just touching his head. He’s our foster son Leah’s and mine. We’ve both been Mother cats so we can raise him like two maiden aunts. Takoda Crow doesn’t much care for the Pinesol but usually he won’t spray where it has touched as if the trees have peed there before him. Don’t understand this need for the male cats to soak things in their urine. Females don’t do this and it’s not like there’s another male cat in the room and Morse won’t visit our room these days or mainly won’t, just visits with us out in the hall. He’s extremely jealous now of Mel spending any time with us too, gets all upset and bangs on his door and wall with his paws to let her know he doesn’t approve and then Rrowr’s at us in displeasure. He does like Crow, however, and has let him play in his room many a day. They like to play chase and sometimes nip each other’s tails. Generally they don’t hurt each other.

We’ve decided we like our lamp off -- almost all of the time since Crow kept knocking the lamp down and not breaking the bulb as in shattering it but rendering it useless. Once the lamp was turned off, he stopped it. He doesn’t much care for light bulbs unless the lamp is extra shaded. He prefers natural daylight and likes it fairly dark at night -- usually not completely dark. Mother or Mel turn on the tv for us and so we have voices to keep us company though we’ve long since learned that those people never step out of that box just stay inside and talk. We’ve even climbed on top to sniff of them but doesn’t phase them and they really don’t have much of a smell -- just the dust scent on the tv screen sometimes since our cat litter isn’t quite as dust free as it says on the bag and the smell of the stuff Mel and Mother use to wipe down the tv screen. The moon and stars at night are wonder purr and once our eyes adjust to the low light we can see the chipmunks and moles running around in the yard at night though we don’t like those things called bats that swoop past our window. Glad we have our rabies shots says Mel & Mother even though most bats don‘t actually have rabies. They say these are normal black bats plus the tiny brown vampire bats and bigger black vampire bats. The dogs go nuts too and Mel won’t even take them off leash some nights because the bats are so bad.

There goes Morse (Henry) again banging on his door. Mel thinks it’s unnatural for him to have light all the time so she’s making him adjust to longer and longer time periods of darkness but never all night. Makes him really, really mad too because he’s really well adjusted to getting his way and Mel does spoil him too. She has to stay in the room with him while he eats his canned food and sometimes she has to pet him too. Heard him out wandering the house while the dogs were outside too. He’s been confined to quarters for his escapes two days in a row -- no one day and then he was good and then the day after again.

Cats as Humans....

Yes, I know.... my cat head is on a human body & Mel said that she would never do that but we have a formal wedding to attend in Jerusalem and we have a Memorial Day Party to attend at Kitthaven Estates and though Mel prefers the natural state, some of these events really require some kind of dress up. Rather than just not go, we decided to play especially when we found out it wouldn't be the human cat mask thing. Yes, each to his or her own, but we prefer the cat head on the human body to the cat mask which still kind of freaks Mel and Mother out. Gave Mother nightmares about turning into a person with a cat face but she says she's had those before for some strange reason. We still prefer natural, but we also have the problem of just try and get me to be still long enough to get my picture with that evil primitive soul stealing box. Doesn't anyone read about primitive tribes and their fears of cameras and having their image captured? Fears for a reason and we cats understand the primitive nature of things.

The Box That Sees & Steals the Soul....

So Mel came into the room yestfurday now and pointed this little box at me and kept trying to see me in my hiding places or a couple of them anyway, not coming too close but pointing this little box with an eye at me. Oh, no I’m not sure what that thing is that’s looking at me, but you’re going to keep that seeing eye box away from me! Mother! Mel is annoying me! Make her get away from me with that box. I wagged my tail in annoyance and I leaped around from the closet shelf to the bed and back again and I got under the bed and then I went back to another top secret hiding place. Do NOT care that she wasn’t getting close to me with it, I gave it a hiss and outstretched claw from afar, unsheathed claws to let Mel and whatever that thing is know to stay away from me. Don't care at all that Mel wasn't even moving part of the time, was just standing there. Doesn't matter! Not one Bit! Mel just sighed at me and said she needed new images for my page. She says she’s going to have to just sit with it in my room for an hour or more at the time until I adjust to this box with the eye. She sighed again at me and said but Thomasina it’s not even turned on so no light coming from it, no sound. Look Mel. Whatever it is captures the soul. I can just feel it. So much for those of you who think we cats don’t have souls. What do you mean by saying that’s a very primitive view? Don’t care. Keep it away from me. I can sense danger, just scent it when it’s near and whatever that thing is with its one big eye is dangerous. End of subject. Leah stop doing silly things for the eye to see! Get away from it! Stop trying to reach out to it! Sigh, my sigh. Sometimes I wonder about Leah….
Hisses at that box with its one eye!

NOTE OF INTEREST!!!!
Just to let you know and this may be important to some who paw mail: Meli Mom with some assist from Mother since they are Mother's cats does almost all of the diary entries for Thomasina & only every rare now and then doesn't. However, in groups it is very, very often not Meli Mom or Mother who is the typist for Thomasina and you just need to know that often Daddy Rob is the typist for Thomasina, Leah (Mosaic), and of course for his spoiled Daddy's girl BabyCat Calliope. If you need a paw mail to go to Meli Mom (and Mother) then just address Meli Mom somewhere in the paw mail. Just so you won't feel that you're being fooled. Meli Mom and Daddy Rob have tried to inform quite a few who have paw mailed of this fact. Other than that, we'll keep it to the paw mails. Thanks, Thomasina The Countess of Monte Cristo

The Purr Box

May 6th 2009 11:36 am

The one in the Winter cold blows warm air out of the floor and the lovely beast purrs from afar down through those tunnels that Mother & Mel call vents. This new purr beast is right at our favorite cat window and it’s been there but like that paper shredder monster in the kitchen that scares the dogs (which I think is funny since I the cat can see the on / off switch and know that it’s just a scare tool the humans use to make the dogs behave! Well, and to keep them away from the bread shelf!) it must hibernate and need to be fed by turning on the switch the on / off switch but ours isn’t some sort of behavioral modification tool and our beast is friendly and purrs under us as we sit on it and lie on it to watch the birds and squirrels through the glass that run outside. So it must hibernate during cold weather as said and those switches on front that light up with numbers must feed it when touched and it gives us cold air in return. Oh, it is such a wonderfur monster beast to give us cold air and we have checked most carefully and there are no places on it to like a mouth for it to eat us. Don’t understand exactly how it’s fed but only the dogs seem to get the worst of the bad monsters since us cats do NOT allow the vacuum monster that sucks everything into its belly into our room ever. We allow Mother and Mel to sweep our room and place the trash or sweep it into a dust pan but the only time our room ever gets vacuumed which is rare is when Mother tells Mel that it’s okay cause we’re going to be in Mother’s room for awhile. Most of the time Mother won’t let Mel vacuum our room even then and she does need Mother’s permission since we are Mother’s cats and that is our room so she needs our permission and we have to tell Mother that it’s okay and it’s only okay when she closes her room door and we’re napping with her or in her bathroom and not in her closet as how do we know that the vacuum monster isn’t going to suction down the wall and eat it up and then grab us and put us in its belly? WE HATE the vacuum monster and even the dogs run from it!

The Purr Box is different. Our room was getting too hot some days so Mel came in and started working on this thing that we had no idea came to life! She made it level and put something she called insulation around it and then yestfurday she turned it on. We were amazed me and Leah cause cold air started coming out immediately so we had to test it and look for a mouth and teeth but it had none just some little slots on top that we have always stayed away from. Gets so nice and cold when we sit on top of it and gives us a nice kind of chill without cold rain water involved. Hate cold rain. Used to feel it outside some days. Now Mel needs to put the blinds back up that we knocked down. She sez she has to adjust them so that they don’t fall over the face of the purr box, well she just sez front but she must mean face. Says the cold air can’t come out properly if blocked by the blind. We like our blinds in that one window because no one can see us when they walk into the room so the element of surprise is on our side if we need to attack! What a lovely sound just like purring our purr box makes!

Speaking of BabyCat…..

We had a lovely Friday! BabyCat came to visit and she brought the male cats from her house. Now we saw them two baby black cats one with a real attitude and a half that Jaden! Thumping his tail on the floor and all angry about something and a bit surly and mad at his Dad Rob. Of course, they went in to play with Morse and could hear them bouncing off the walls in there quite literally and Morse chasing them around. Mel checked on them and said it was all in fun, chase back and forth and hide and seek and pounce on the tail and bat at the curtains. The little one Magi had what looked like fluffy curly black fur, just really odd for cat fur. Not wildly curly like a Poodle’s but curly enough and Mel needs to look up cat breeds and see what kind of cross breed he is because he’s very unusual looking for a cat.

Much fun! We played our own version of hide and seek and stalk the cat and stalk the cat’s tail and pounced on each other all day and did our own bouncing turns off the wall. We played our favorite game of leap back and forth from the closet shelf to the bed to the tv to the floor which is a harder one! Also hid in the closet inside the closet that BabyCat loved so very much when she lived here and curled up under the vests and napped. Hung out under the bed and ate. Mother sneaked us some people food some pieces of clams and some tuna and bologna and it was good! In celebration of our visitors! Bell ball was a favorite game of the day and we batted it all over and had to free it from the litter box sand trap and free it from stuck on the carpet. We clawed our Styrofoam box lid to our heart’s content too, the lid that Mother won’t let Mel remove from our room! Makes a terrible mess too but Mother usually sweeps it up for us. Then we played bat the silk flower tops around and carry them in our mouths like dogs. Nearly have all the silk roses pretty tea roses decapitated now to use the flower heads as our toys.

BabyCat Callie sat in the windows with us like old times and we longed to go out in the yard and catch those squirrels running up and down the trees and to fly through the air to catch the birds flying by. We people watched and all hissed at that girl who visits next door and hissed at the dog she brought with her driving him wild and he wanted to escape and run to our window, but had to settle for growling and barking at us from a distance. All of us even climbed the drapes until Mother came in and made us come down and told us not to let Mel know or she would fuss at us Mother’s lovely cats -- well Mother’s and Rob’s spoiled BabyCat who gets anchovies all the time and tuna and shrimp and chicken and all manner of other good things to eat. But she did need to fatten up a bit! Still as energetic as ever too! We had such lovely naps together too all curled up around and on each other and all getting along for once.

Of course, before the cats left to go home, the lightening and thunder began and the hard rain so that they got to stay a little longer trying to wait it out. The lights flickered on and off and the rain fell, but I’ll save that one for another entry….

Love to all, Thomasina

BabyCat Calliope

Somefurs have asked but don’t you miss BabyCat Callie? Yes, of course I miss her! I was like her Mother and fur-iend cat rolled up in one, but Leah is the one who is here! I have taken many measures and steps to ensure that Leah is NEVER taken away from me the way BabyCat was! Calliope still visits and Leah gets so very jealous when she visits and just meows and meows for a human to come into the room and give her some attention. Leah needs to make fur-iends with BabyCat Callie. I mean after all come on I know she could smell her in the room when Leah first arrived and after cause she sniffed all over the place and peered into things looking for her! Didn’t find her of course but she sure did try. When I get to see Callie we run all over the room playing chase and we hide together and her Daddy Rob is always afraid he’s not be able to get Callie to come back, but he says to her Jaden or Magi and Callie knows what that mean and usually races right into the cat carrier cause she loves them too and wouldn’t want to be without her two black cat fur-iends family members. Oh yes, I miss BabyCat Calliope and I would have her in the room with me still and get her to stay if I could but she lives with two MALE cats now and certainly I would NOT have them here for a minute unless absolutely necessary and they would have to live with Inspector Morse in his room though he would probably just love that! However, that would disobey city and county ordinances and we wouldn’t want our humans to get in trouble as we’re within our legal limit now and always have been. The reason that I was so happy that Callie’s Daddy Rob caught the baby cat Magi in this house is because he is such a poor little male kitty emphasis on poor and MALE! He needed someone to give him extra care and Callie’s Daddy has taken such excellent care of her! Little baby Magi needs loads of attention and if he had stayed here Mother would have had him in her bed and he would have gotten ALL of the milk reserved for us cats and probably would have been warm milk. Glad he has a good home though…. And no, I don't hate male cats but I only share my special room with female cats! We let Morse in sometimes but the only problem is that Leah is just so ever food possessive and acts like she is the one who was once feral!

Love to all, Thomasina

Ice Stones & Cat Ceremonies

April 25th 2009 8:03 am

So two days ago the ice stones began beating on the window. Rain was already falling very hard and fast so that everything was behind water and a blur. The trees were blurred green with water all around them and over them. The birds were hiding so that we couldn’t find them in all that water. So much water that we couldn’t even see the grass down below our windows. Blue and white light streaks were flashing in the sky and coming down through the water and very loud booming noises that Mother says were thunder and lightning and she told us it was okay that all was fine. We knew the ice stones might come into hit Mother so Leah and I hissed at them and clawed at them to make them move away from the house. For awhile that worked and they stopped and the rain stopped too cause we scared it all away! Then when we stopped hissing and clawing at the ice stones that were outside they came back! Even harder! The ice stones were mad that we made them leave so we had to jump at the ice and go up on two paws and make angry hissy cat faces at the ice stones and claw the air harder and swish our tails all the while with Mother coming to visit and telling us it was okay that the rain and ice would go away on their own. No, Mother me & Leah and the beautiful feral cat have to scare them away, so we did but it took much longer this time. Cats have great power to scare things. We made the ice that was knocking on the roof to get in, knocking on the windows to get in, knocking on the very walls of the house to get in go away! Meli Mom came in to check on us and I didn’t even stop what I was doing cause we needed to protect our humans and the other cat and the dogs and the house from the ice stones which were angry stones, so we did and they went away and the booming thunder even stopped after a little bit. Feral cat? Yes, she came running in out of the rain into the basement and straight to our room to tell us something was wrong outside and to help us with our cat rain go away ceremony which worked. She comes to visit sometimes but she has a temporary home. Far too many dogs there she sez and they all want to chase her and jump at her but she can out jump them and hide from them but she really gets tired of it so she visits other cats some days.

OH Mosaic KaLeah you troublemaker!

Some days I feel like the Mother cat I was but then again so is Leah or she was a Mother too! She was a Mother but she is still so kittenish in some ways! Climbing the drapes as if she is BabyCat Callie’s age! I get so tired of covering for her and jumping around and leaping through the air to focus Mother’s or Mel’s attention on me when one or the other or both walk into the room. Mother also compliments me on how gracefully I leap and jump though, so might be worth it. I love to be praised and told good things about myself. Didn’t hear good things while I was feral mostly, just scat and scram and things thrown, you know just the way some people treat ferals in this neighborhood. Leah and I can see it from our window and we do so love to sit in our window and bird and squirrel and rabbit and people watch. Catch some sun rays or star shine and enjoy the day and the night.

Leah just drives me cat crazy some days running around and she might as well be chasing her tail. She’s taken to biting anything that moves, but she has learned if she does that to me like she did to my tail one day that I will cat slap her. She even bit Mother our beloved person a couple of times. Then Mother said Leah I don’t believe in spanking cats but I’ll make an exception for you and she did and swatted her behind for her both times. Leah pouted and hid and hissed at Mother but she’s learning hissing at Mother means that Mother won’t let us sneak in and nap with her in the other bedroom and won’t let us play in her room and won’t come in to see us as often but sends Mel instead. Not that we don’t like Mel but she’s just not our main person. Leah calls her our cat slave because Mel fills our water and washes out our water dishes and refills the dry food and checks the litter boxes. Of course, Mother has us much more spoiled. All we have to do is meow or yowl after we use the litter box and she will come and scoop it out for us. Mel fussed at her for it cause she was doing it for Morse (Henry the VIII as Mother calls him) too so that he began banging on his door every time he used the litter box.

Love Leah but she is just too much of a ball of energy some days leaping and twisting in the air and wanting to play chase instead of nap on the closet shelf and disturbing me when I’m in the cat hutch just enjoying hiding. Then she bats those bell balls all over the floor and the bed and the tables until I sit on them because I’m a cat and I nap and that’s what we do. WE like naps and Leah needs to learn to take a little more down time and nap a little more often.

She also hogs all the attention when she can. I like for Mother to pet my head and sometimes my back -- and sometimes not my back just depends on my mood. Again, I’m a cat and we’re supposed to be moody so adjust. Sometimes I even let Mel pet my head or sit by me, not as often as she would like but guess what? You’re not Mother and while I like you Mel, again you’re not Mother and she is my person and Leah’s person, our main person. WE don’t want anything to happen to you and would cat avenge you if possible but I am the Countess of Monte Cristo and anything happens to Mother and it’s instant revenge if and when I find you cause we love her more than anyone else in this world. Anything happens to us and I know she will get you for it… Just a friendly for a cat word of advice or two to the baddies out there. WE are cats and we have sharp teeth and sharp claws and great hunting and tracking skills, better than any dog if we have reason.

Can’t wait to see what kind of trouble Leah goes for today. What will it be? Trying to bounce off the walls like she did last week? Trying to land on the curtain rods like parts of this week? She found out fast that even as light as she is that she can’t sit on the curtain rods for too long without the rods falling down. Opening the drawers to the chest of drawers in the room and trying to climb in and then having to meow for Mother cause she got stuck? A couple of weeks or so back. Of course, I like the hissing and clawing the window at some of the people walking by game myself, especially at anyone walking dogs, just to warn them not to come into the yard. Really they should walk on the other side of the street away from our house. We are the cats. We rule here! The dogs stay because we allow it and they best remember that fact.

Catching Up!

Our computer has been down for over two months now, so we have some catching up to do on Paw Mails & other things. If you asked us to play tag, even if it was over two months ago, eventually we will read the rosette or find it in a Paw Mail and play a belated game of tag with you. If you gave us rosettes, eventually as we catch up, we will see it and will remember to thank you. Now, if you asked us to be your fur-iend, we’re not going to be able to go into our regular email for a few days or so yet and will have to wade through volumes of email. Even if that request is expired, we will most certainly send you a fur-iend request in return. Sorry if anyone’s feelings got hurt ‘cause you thought we just didn’t care and just weren’t answering. We do care and we did get through to some few individuals and they obviously couldn’t manage the paw mail for us or go into the email after a certain point looking for expired fur-iend requests and we didn’t make it clear enough that we wanted someone to get in touch with groups for us. Please don’t be mad with us cats or with the dogs. Computer crash. Terrible virus. Computer in and out of the shop or the relevant parts were and nothing we could do about it and we try to avoid public access devices and don’t have cell phone accounts enabling computer access. Bear with us and we will catch up over the next days or week plus.

Love to all, Thomasina The Countess of Monte Cristo

The Closet & Our Cat Vests!

Mel never did bring back our bird feathers! How dare she give them to that other MALE cat in this house! Well, we found something new burrowed them out from a bag where they were all stored a cloth bag and inside a carry all inside the hanging closet in the closet. Mel made me very mad when she zipped that thing closed. Just yowled and yowled at Mother to make her understand that we needed that thing opened again! Then she only unzipped it a little bit at the top so we had to maneuver and manipulate to get it open a little more at the top me and Mosaic so that we could leap to the closet shelf and aim into it to land inside. After that, it was such a pain getting out of there! Just couldn’t get Mother to understand and Mel finally redeemed herself in our eyes or in mine at least by understanding my yowling and carrying on! I dared come out and stick my head out and yowl and look at that closet again and again last week and she looked at me and looked at Mosaic who finally helped me out because I had told her how wonderpurr it was to get to go in and out of that closet freely and Mel looked at me and reached up and said do you want me to unzip the closet? When she reached up we let her know yes, that’s exactly it, exactly what we want and we mewed and mewed and meowed and yowled until she unzipped it, but wasn’t enough! So she unzipped it some more and still wasn’t enough! Finally she sighed and said well, I guess it’s okay because any clothes in there stored are probably things we have had there a long time and we won’t wear anyway or I would have to clean it out and put something else there. Oh we love you Mel! (Mom!) and so we’ve been sleeping in there sometimes and it has made up for losing our feathers cover bed! We have these wonder-purr things that Mel calls vests in there, insulated vests and one even smells like feathers. These once belonged to Mother says Mel, well still belong to Mother but she stopped wearing them. She retrieved one for Mother to wear outside under her coat. Oh they are so lovely and puffy and warm and soft these things called vests! Glad that Mother stopped wearing them because they are just the best bed for us. Some are old but we still love these things, all soft, softer than cushions better than pillows! When the wind blows outside and howls like a hundred cats in distress or like a wolf coming to eat us, we love to burrow down under our vests and keep some to lie down on or sit on and we can hide out! We just love our bed, our hiding place, our haven from the wind! Not that the wind blows hard into the room but it makes so much noise where we are sometimes blowing off the corner of the house! We have two windows so the wind tries to get in all the time it blows hitting them and asking to come in and we won’t let it and yowl and cry for Mother and for Mel (Mom) when the wind is at its howling nosiest. One or the other comes to check on us and see if we are okay.

We have many hiding places and I have my own special hiding places too, but right now this one is our favorite. We do like the cat hutch but we prefer it on days when the wind doesn’t howl and blow quite so fiercely. Our kitten stays with us sometimes, the one that Mom has named Shadows Jaguar and the last name she says is the feral cat denotation which colony like the Orange Tabbies come from the “Morris grouping” says she. Thank you Mel. We might like you after all for giving us our hiding place back. No zipping our closet. If any of you crazy people I saw while I was feral come to steal us and think you can just zip up our closet and run, hey we have teeth and very sharp claws. We have a place to sharpen our claws on the closet shelf plus we have a nice cardboard box where we can sharpen them so they will be like pointed razors or stilettos coming for you through the hanging closet and our teeth like piranhas teeth! Not that we don’t like people but we like our home and we plan to protect it. Really beginning to more than like it here, to love it here. Time for a little nap before we get up to bird watch and to watch squirrels. Mel! Mom! Where are the towels you promised to place on that little table in front of the window? That table is a little cold and hard and gets a bit rough staying there for too long to watch birds…

Cat Visitors, Ferals & Others

January 11th 2009 12:24 pm

We’re having visitors in our room, these lovely black cats. They don’t visit at the same time and one apparently climbed into BabyCat Callie’s cat carrier when Rob brought her to visit but wouldn’t let her out for long to see us cause he was afraid that she would go into one of her old hiding places and want to stay for an overnight visit, but he held her on the bed and Mosaic curled up to her and purred and licked at her until she realized she had some sort of flea & tick treatment on the back of her neck. Then she had to drink some water. We really enjoyed BabyCat Callie’s visit and she had so much to tell us about her new life with Rob. She also smelled very good, flea treatment aside because her new Dad, well not brand new any more, burns incense and meditates so she smelled like Jasmine and Sandalwood and Patchouli very good, not strong but faint. The pretty medium haired kitty might be long haired kitty came in to visit while Callie was there and he really liked her. Ha! Ha! Ha! Rob if you’re reading this, Callie has already attracted a male kitten a boy fur-iend cat to live with her. You’ll have to watch that one since neither one of them is fixed yet! Course, could be wrong and maybe it was a female as there’s a short hair black Daddy cat, a long hair female Mama cat quite young herself, and about five kittens not a year old yet that are old roaming different parts of this neighborhood. Seem to have claimed different houses as their own and one in particular loves to visit us now that BabyCat’s boy fur-iend left with her. Rob thought the cat carrier was heavy and that Callie was gaining weight, but little did he know that the kitty decided to go home with Callie, didn’t climb into the strange car, rode in style with Callie being carried. Rob finally figured this out. The cat now wanders around his house and he hasn’t named the kitty yet because he can’t catch it. Usually the cat uses Callie’s box and one left for him. He eats BabyCat’s food and food left out for him. He visits her the same way he was visiting us and then hides around the house and Rob can’t catch him, but considers the cat his cat and Callie’s fur-iend.

One of the other ferals visits us and the Mom cat brings her to see us and doesn’t stay to see us long. Just gets into the house often while the dogs are outside playing in the yard and drinks a little water and has a little food and then leaves the young cat, older kitten with us. The older kitten has hidden out in our cat hutch with us and played in the top of the closet and bird watched with us, but then she leaves after awhile. Sometimes she returns on her own, but more often the Mother cat brings her back to us. Another semi feral, going on formerly feral cat name of Barn Cat visits Morse sometimes but I’ll let Morse talk about him. All I’ll say is that Barn Cat has semi owners people who take care of him and who want to take him in, but he is still a bit wild and has clawed the devil out of one of them. Doesn’t make them want to drive him away and they live in an attached neighborhood and say he needs his shots or needs them soon and so they’re not quite frantic yet, but want to catch him so that he is protected since he loves roaming around outside. Barn Cat was named long before Barn Owl was and has been hanging around the neighborhoods a couple of years now and seems to have been dumped in these neighborhoods. He may have been semi feral when he was dumped.

Our black kitty cat visitor is very friendly if a bit wild. Female although every now and then a male hangs around with her. The male has been claimed by someone though he keeps ditching his collar. Mosaic and I bat flower tops around with the black kitty and run around under the bed & play. She won’t really sleep against us too much, naps on her own and then eats and helps drink our milk and loves our dry food the best, eats bunches of us as if she is storing up, planning to leave and needs to eat as much as possible to sustain her until her next visit. We didn’t have a chipmunk in our room and so she is responsible for the chipmunk fur in the litter box a couple of times. Mom says if she names her that might mean she stays, but she is trying to think of a name for her all the same as many of the other ferals are named and some eventually found homes. The ferals here, some seem to have been pets before but as people leave their homes they’re not taking their cats with them. Some of Mom’s friends have said that if Mom wants to keep her and she ends up having a very high astronomical vet’s bill that they can help out. They are interested in catching the Mother and having her as a pet and she may be two years old or under herself or there may be two of the cats and one might be older than the other. Our fur-iend seems to be in good health, no coughs or sneezes fur not quite as glossy as it could be but very soft still. Needs a little weight on her. Mama Cat has big golden eyes and the kitten has green eyes and every now and then another female with golden eyes visits. The male has big blue eyes although another male exists somewhere. Actually more than five cats altogether but some seem to be older than others and some might already have claimants as they have collars or flea collars around their necks.

We love playing with our fur-iend who isn’t as playful as she should be because she says she has to worry about conserving energy for hiding and hunting outside and to keep warm against the cold, but yet she does play with us. Mom sees her darting around the room, but Mother interfered with her and tried to find her so she isn’t friends with Mother yet, likes Mom best ‘cause Mom doesn’t disturb her. She has touched Mom and at first Mom thought it was my black paws reaching out from under the bed and batting at her and trying to drag the food bowl closer. Then she realized wasn’t me and got down on the floor and was met by huge green eyes. My eyes are blue. The cat was purring. Mom, think you need to name this cat who thinks she is yours. Other cats we can place with friends if they chill out here and make friends, get into the house cause bunches of friends want cats and many say they can deal with taming or partially taming a feral and could get another cat to help out. Black kitty really likes Mom and maybe partly because some of the food smells like her. She has also been into see Morse and usually they get along but sometimes Barn Cat is in there and he really doesn’t like her much and just hisses and yowls up a storm causing Mother and Mom to go check the room. Then sometimes Barn Cat decides it’s time to wander or to return to his people. Morse likes her just fine but won’t touch any canned food if she eats from it, will eat his dry but won’t eat any wet food she touches. Will drink his water if she drinks from it. Sometimes he will eat his food says Mom if Barn Cat eats from it and other times he won’t. No rhyme or reason to it. Sometimes if the black kitty gets into the room she rushes right back out or jumps against the door until someone opens it and then pushes our door open and comes in and hides. Barn Cat hasn’t hurt her, but he really, really doesn’t like her much at all.

Mother! Where are you! We need some more milk and for you to come in and nap with us! That visit this morning was far too short and that’s not like you. We will excuse you this time since you’re sneezing and have watery eyes, but we can’t catch your sinus problems and we can keep you warm. Bring a new cover and come back in here….
Love to all, Thomasina The Countess of Monte Cristo

Rough Dogs!

That’s dogs! Uh! Sometimes they just go way too far. Tonight well very early this morning, they began cutting up cause they wanted to go outside! It sounds like it’s raining and certainly the ground and street look very wet from my window! Why go out? Cause they want to play outside in the DARK and run around in the mud again and have some more nasty dog stink smell from their wet fur to bring into the house! Oh! I can smell them all the way in my bedroom, well my bedroom, Mosaic’s & Mother’s bedroom. So tonight they started playing rough and Mel (Mom) was yelling and Mother was yelling and suddenly a very loud noise and they had knocked Mel down into the air cleaning machine. Unfortunately she couldn’t get up! Mother had to go over and turn off the machine and try to pull Mel’s hair out which had gotten suctioned into the machine. No Go! Mother had to find a pair of scissors and cut Mel’s hair so that she could get up and then they had to open the machine and pull the cut hair out which had gotten all knotted. The dogs were horrified! Guess they thought the machine would just suction Mel right into it and then they wouldn’t have a Mom any more and Mother would have been furious with them then. Mel’s hair was halfway down her back. Now her hair is at her shoulders. Free haircut from the air cleaning machine and Mother courtesy of the dogs being careless! Not the first time they’ve knocked into the air cleaning machine either and so finally they have calmed down and stopped all that jumping and growling and play fighting. Mom doesn’t like them to get too rough in the house and fusses when they do and tonight they just went too far and so suddenly everything is very quiet…. Good…. Need a little sleep so that Mosaic and I can get up early and watch the birds and squirrels play, that is if it’s not raining too hard…

I Hate Dogs!

Almost hissed at Mother this morning. Barely let her pet my head and then hid out for a little bit. Do forgive her, but she slept in that other bedroom and let Pinto sleep in the bed with her for a little bit, not long mind you, but too long for my cat tastes. Did let her pet me again and stroke my back a little but had to let her know how very displeased I was that she let that dog sleep in the other bed with her. Well, at least she spent more time with us than she did with the dogs! Mad too ‘cause she told Mom (Mel) that we don’t need so much canned cat food, that it is upsetting our tummies and that she needs to give us canned food only every other day. Afraid that stands too since we are her cats and Mel said okay. Would be really angry at Mother for that, but she does give us milk the days we don’t have canned food. Don’t think Mom knows quite how much milk she gives us. Mother says we need to be a little spoiled and that Morse needs to lose weight so he doesn’t get any milk. He gets at least a day more of canned food than do we. That’s wrong. We’re so much more beautiful than he is and we need to keep up the sleekness of our fur! We’re the females in the house, and the female cats should be much more pampered and petted and spoiled than the any male cats should be and much moreso than any dogs in the house! Time for a nap in the cat hutch after I stare at that big long haired cat in the window next door for awhile. All white and fluffy and have seen Dion stopping to stare at her. Need to make friends with me dear, the cat in your house and with Mosaic before giving a thought to her. She will never be her nor will her friends so think of me & Mosaic first! Know you’re already friends with Henry (Morse), so worry about us for now…..

Cerberus! Nap Interruptions, How Dare that Dog!!!!

January 4th 2009 4:27 am

Oh that dog! We were having such a lovely time with Mother napping on the bed and us right beside her, wouldn’t do this for Mel but then again she’s just not like Mother the older lady here. Mother loves us and just talks and talks to us. She makes sure we have plenty of dry food and makes sure our water doesn’t dry up in our bowls and says we need a bigger water bowl or two. She brings us milk sometimes too and tells us not to say anything to Mel (Mom) about it and we don’t let on at all. That dog couldn’t find Mother and he got all frantic and woke Mel up to let her know just barking and barking and barking and pawing the door next to ours where Morse lives though he does go out into the house sometimes and braves Cerberus I think just to torment the dog. Morse began yowling his head off because that gate keeper to Hades was bothering him trying to knock down his door. Mel got up, early morning asking Cerberus aka Pinto Paint what the matter was and following him and he started pawing against our door. All havoc and chaos broke loose and Mel began calling Mother when we were or had been having such a lovely sleep curled up against Mother making sure she stayed warm and purring. Mel opened the door and I fled under the bed and Mother asked what’s wrong sweet cats? Oh, it’s the dog said she. At least Mother told Mel that she was fine and to get that dog out of here! He wasn’t actually in the room, only his head through the door because Mel wouldn’t let him in, said NO! and shook her finger at him and he just woofed and woofed in frustration cause he really wanted in the room since Mel was in the room. Happily, Mel left once she found out Mother was okay and not missing as the dog had obviously barked at her in Dogese. Mel seems to understand more Dogese than I do and than Mother does. We got to curl right back up to Mother and go back to sleep and she fell back to sleep petting us. Yes, petting me too. Love Mother dearly. Won’t always let her touch me, but just love her so much that sometimes I let her pet me especially when she’s half asleep. My human.

Did that stop Cerberus? No, of course not. The gatekeeper just had to come back later at least twice and try again. Mother came in and protected us and told Mel since she didn’t have to work to go take a nap and she did for a bit. That gave us time with Mother and Pinto the other name for Cerberus can’t stand for Mel to sleep without him right by her usually so he had to leave and forget about us for awhile. He knew where Mother was and he knew where his girlfriend dog Dion (Baby is what Mother & Mel call her half the time) was and she sleeps right against him part of the time says Mother and they all took a nap close together. Not surprised Cerberus needed one either after all that barking. Not the end there either cause Dion pushed her way into our room to let Mother know that she needed to go out, so Cerberus had fits not being able to find Dion and was outside again barking his head off and Mother had to leave to go find Mel to take Dion and Cerberus outside. They were gone forever it seemed like, but Mother said it was only a little over an hour. Mel came in and gave us some nice little pieces of fish from a tin and plus some good Nine Lives canned food and made sure we had water and cleaned our litter boxes. After she left, Mother told her she was going to take a nap and she came back in and took another little nap with us, actually watched the tv and just laid on the bed for awhile. She fell asleep for a little bit, but then Cerberus started up again and this time was trying to get into Morse’s room because Mel was in the bathroom and he was all jealous because he thought she was in the room with Morse and he was having a fit! Mel had to go in and calm Morse down, but he went out and teased the dog for few minutes and went back into his room again. For some reason he hides from Mother, likes Mel better than her. Spoiled thing. Mel has to stay in there with him while he eats and he just raises Cain if they are interrupted while he’s eating, yowls and yowls and Rrow’s and meows up a storm because his person is just NOT leaving while he is still eating. Have heard Mel tell Mother that through the door. Can’t come out yet. Have to stay in here with Henry / with Morse until he finishes eating at the very least.

Well, expect Mother to come visit sometimes soon. Our room with Mother. She says this used to be her room. Still is as far as we’re concerned, me and Mosaic, but we share it with her. As said, Our Room!
Love to you, Thomasina The Countess of Monte Cristo

The Cat Babysitters…..

Mother & Mom went to some friend’s house today and so a very big and tall guy we hadn’t met yet came over, well very tall and not as big as Jack width wise. He had dogs to play with the dogs in the house & they actually went out into the backyard to play part of the time early in the morning and late afternoon, just came inside really and they took off for a walk and someone came into play with us another very tall person. Can’t introduce them in my diary ‘cause don’t know their names yet & don’t know if they want a mention on Catster in my diary all the same. Like they were going to get to pet me anyway! I hid out and gave them many hisses and they said oh, that’s right…. That’s the feral one… Mosaic KaLeah let them pet her and just mewed and meowed and stayed out with them so I fussed at her when she got back under the bed with me. Bet Mom told them not to come in our room too and that Mother especially did. I’m an expert at hiding so the next time they looked under the bed they didn’t find me and I won’t say where I was but even Mom can’t find me there! They thought I had gotten out and ran all over the house looking for me and couldn’t find me and then saw me because I had gotten in the window to bird watch. They couldn’t understand how they missed me. At least they gave us some more food, didn’t need to but I wasn’t letting on.

These strangers also let Morse into the room with us. He hid out with me part of the time. Normally, I don’t like Inspector Morse the big red tabby male cat but today I did because he understood not to let these strange people pet him even if they were friends of Mom’s and maybe Mother’s too. He found the cat hutch in the closet and hid out there for awhile and I hid underneath, but that wasn’t my most secret hiding place. My special hiding place has the smell of a long gone past Siamese to it and no one has found me there yet. Morse wasn’t all bad, but I did have to let him know that I don’t accept love bites and so I hissed at him and clawed the air to make him understand.

At least they spent most of the day playing with Cerberus aka Pinto Paint and with Dion who is in the dog house for getting in and eating cat crunchies from the litter box. Mom will be so mad when she finds out. They were tormenting Cerberus part of the time too playing keep away with his toys and doing the same to Dion. Cerberus just barked and barked and I could hear his collar rattling as he jumped for toys and his feet hitting the floor. Dion was making cat like little whining noises but wasn’t feeling her best after eating cat crunchies. Mom is going to be so very mad with them if they cause Dion to start throwing up letting her get into the litter box! Mother will have words for them too I hope.

Thank the cats that be that Mother is back and Mel (Mom) of course, and that Mother has already been into check on me and to sympathize with me. Poor thing. Alone all day. Not quite Mother, but I forgive you. Don’t forgive Mel yet as I’m sure she let them into the house.

Love to you, Thomasina The Countess of Monte Cristo

So Mel (Mom) came in tonight to pet Mosaic and I had to crawl out from under the bed where I had just hidden to make sure that she wasn’t taking her anywhere. Then when Mom reached in to give me some new food under the bed I hissed at her and clawed the air at her. If I had wanted to hit her I could have, but I missed by a wide margin, just letting her know that she will not take this new cat out of the room at all ever. My new friend and she took the last one away or let her be taken away and she is NOT getting this one. My friend! She can come into OUR room and pet her and so can Mother. Let Mother pet me this morning again. Stuck my head out from under the bed to get petted. Really love her much more than I do Mel and don’t care if that hurts Mel’s feelings (Mom’s feelings) because Mother understands me best and talks to me in a gentle sweet voice and just talks and talks to me. My main human, my person and Mel’s the second. Think I will always love Mother best. Good thing that Mel (Mom) made no attempt to remove my new friend from the room. We have three litter boxes so I assume that means we have room for one more and that needs to be an older kitten for us both. Mosaic and I do NOT like the dogs near us and the cat next door, yes he finally has his very own room and Mel goes in there and pets him and feeds him and he is so happy just purrs through the wall at us sometimes, hides somewhere right against that wall, calls the new one Cerberus the dog who guards the entrance to Hades. Yes, the new dog does need a little work where cats are concerned, really doesn’t seem to know that we are mostly not like dogs at all. Mel can help him there. He goes frantic whenever she is out of his sight right now and can’t stand for her to come in our room and close the door and just barks his head off and whines and even howls. Otherwise he only barks if someone steps onto our property and he wakes Mom up and lets her know.

Well, have to go to play with Mosaic. Mel brought us some balls with bells inside for Christmas and we like to bat them back and forth to each other under the bed. Then since Mel gave us some good food and a little milk tonight and we have full bellies and clean litter boxes so that the air in here is fresh, it will be time for a little nap. Good Night.
Love to you, Thomasina The Countess of Monte Cristo

Really I was quite angry with Mel. When she said she was bringing home a fur-iend for me, I was thinking female cat, older kitten, young adult female. Then in she walks with this huge big & tall male cat, a guy! How dare she! I hissed & hissed at him when he showed up at my bedroom door and let him know right away that I didn’t appreciate his just nosing into my bedroom! How dare he! He ran too, curly tail and all and went back to the living room or wherever he was before and hasn’t shown his face back here. I let Mel know exactly what I thought of her bringing that male home when she came to talk to me and check on me and I hissed and hissed at her and fluffed my tail and showed my claws to her and arched my back even though I was under the bed.

Later, Mom (Mel) did better and brought home a nice young Calico female. Now, she may have hissed at me right away but we will eventually be fur-iends and I just know this. She was distressed about the scent left of the baby cat too, very upset that she couldn’t find that cat. She said that Meli (Mom) needs to bring us a kitten. I agree. An older one preferably about the age of the kittens we lost and she (she being Mom) says maybe. Jack and Van are already trying to convince Mom to give them, and they are in competition here, Morse the big male cat. They are both big and tall and think it’s great that a cat is big and tall too and actually say that he is a fabulous cat! Yes, and he knows this too does Inspector Morse the cat. He is very sure of how utterly attractive he is to all other cats. Such arrogance! Mom thinks he is just fabulous too. He wanders the house at will, but he’s not allowed in my room and Mosaic the new Calico a year old, doesn’t want him in here either. Our room not yours fat cat! He actually lets Mom pick him up and he’s not even a kitten so he knows better! How could he let her pick him up?

Yawn. Stretch. Paws out. Back arched. So very tired. Too much going on today at this house so I need my sleep. Mosaic says she needs her beauty rest too. Mom gave us these great little kids blankies for Christmas, blankets for those who don’t speak babyese or catese. All of us got one even fat cat and Dion. She has one spare and says she needs to buy some spares. Oh no, you don’t need to wash them and know that’s what spares means. Once we get our cat scent into them and mark them as ours, imagine all the extra hard work we will have to do to re-mark and re-scent our blankies. Heard some little bell balls rattle too and know that Mom plans to give us those.

Time for sleep, so:

A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL & TO ALL A GOOD-NIGHT!

Miss little Callie and Mom promises that I will have a new cat friend as soon as she can arrange it. Loved having another kitty in the room to play with me. That said, also enjoying being the only very spoiled cat here for now. Mom, yes Mom comes in and talks to me and sympathizes with me because Callie is not here and I really like that because I know I am still a poor cat and need love and sympathy. The day Callie left, I sat on top of the window unit inside and wasn’t going to move. Missed watching the birds and squirrels with her and she with me so just sat there most of the day crouched on the air conditioner. Mom kept coming in to talk to me and she got closer and closer to me. Finally, I pulled her hand close with my paw. She forgot and pet me. I forgot and let her. She just stroked my back for a couple of minutes or so and then I realized someone was touching me! So I hissed but I didn’t scratch her this time, just took off for under the bed. I’ve stayed under here much of the time since Callie left and only go out to use the litter box. This morning I did figure out how to get behind the new blinds and take a look outside hoping that Callie was out there and I could meow at her to come inside where it’s warm but she has left and has a new home. Look forward to having a new cat friend whether she and hope it’s a she and not a rowdy male cat, whether she is a kitten or a cat. Love to you, Thomasina The Countess of Monte Cristo.

Missing BabyCat Calliope (Callie)

Miss BabyCat Callie already & hope she gets to come home soon, but it looks bad since she is really sick. Our diaries sometimes run a day behind so Callie left yesterday morning really & goes to the vet this morning. The lady who is helping out Mom has said the vet bill might be really high. She’s a vet tech and had contacted Mel about the cat and said that another of the cats was ill & wanted to know if Callie was okay and knew the lady’s name who gave Callie to Mom & said that she took good care of her but that they had been out in the woods awhile and that kitties can pick up illnesses and contract illnesses from all kinds of things out in the woods including nasty dirty water that they drink and fleas and ticks and from wild game that they eat. She wants to adopt Callie from Mom if the exams & tests indicate that her bills might be really high since she can also have them done for lower cost and works with a rescue that funds sick adopted cats, but she came over to look at Callie and at me and I hissed at her, but I wasn’t sick. I cat growled at her but she wasn’t a bad mean vet and didn’t have any of those terrible needles to give me any shots. Just asked about Callie and how we would be together part of the time and apart part of the time. The lady thinks that I instinctively knew to stay away from Callie part of the time. The lady drove a long way to come and see Callie and to get her because she is the vet tech for the other cat and the other cat is really, really sick and the other person signed her over to the rescue group because they have vets who work with them and who give them much lower cost and even free services. Mom said she can’t afford for me to be exposed to her if she is deathly ill either and it’s not that she doesn’t love Callie, just that she has to think about what is best for both of us. I, Thomasina the Countess of Monte Cristo am in most excellent health. Don’t know how long these cats have been in a home and out of the woods Mom said to the rescue lady. She was going to contact the other lady who fostered the kittens & ask about them, was afraid of several things because the cat was running a temperature off and on. Mom has signed a preliminary agreement to give Callie up to a private rescue group that takes in medical cases if Callie has certain diseases as well. If none of those conditions are true the vet bills and particular medical conditions then Callie will be returned here, but Mom said good-bye to Calliope just in case and the lady said she could help her obtain a low cost rescue or free rescue possibly from their group, one that was previously very ill and healed in place of Callie though she said she knew it wasn’t the same thing and that she could not guarantee a Calico. She agreed that I as a former feral cat and still a bit wild needed another cat but perhaps one that was much tamer or a previously feral cat that has now been socialized or a tame kitten from a normal background as I had responded quite well to having a friend. Poor little babycat. Hope that she is okay. Mom didn’t want to say anything until the lady called her back and she has once, but won’t know for sure until Calliope goes to the vet, well later today now.

Miss you Callie. If you don't come back here, hope you get well soon. Love to you Callie, Thomasina The Countess of Monte Cristo

Mad @ Mel (Mom)!!! & Bird Watching

So she came in the room after Callie again the Baby Cat and I just meowed softly to Callie and Calliope came to me. This went on all day long. I will teach Mel to take Callie out of the room and keep her away so long! I was worried sick that Callie wasn’t coming back! Decided it was punishment for our not using the litter box and going on the towels and trying to eat the down comforter or that’s what Mel (Mom) calls that thing… Really mad about that too. We peed on the cover the top part of that lovely feather thing to make the birds come out, but they still didn’t. Mel was really mad about that and just fussed at us. Then she took OUR bird feather comforter out of the room, not just off the bed but out of the room! She says she will get us a feather pillow or two after Christmas since we started using the litter box when they go on sale (waiting for a sale! Are we not worth it now?) but that we cannot have that lovely down comforter back and she will put another cover on that bed. Well, until I peed on it and Callie did, we were having such a great time curling up into that warm thing, but guess we spoiled it for ourselves peeing on it that way! Mel said she thinks this is the washable one but the problem is that the washing machine isn’t big enough here to wash it & she says for the time being she will wash the cover it goes down into & just spot clean it until she can go to somewhere called the Laundromat with oversized washing machines and oversized dryers since the dryer here isn’t big enough to dry it either, is just normal sized. We still retaliated and hid every time Mel came into the room. Told Callie to move away from the edges of the bed too by giving her a mreow and purr to let her know that wasn’t safe territory. Mel won’t pull us out from under the bed, says we are allowed hiding places, but she will grab us if we’re under the sides or very edge of the bed, well not me but Callie.

Started letting Mother pet my head. Think she understands me best so I will let her pet my head. Scratched her when she tried to pick me up but just on the hand and a little scratch on the arm. Mel told Mother, now, that I can’t be picked up, but she didn’t believe her. Almost let her pick me up too. She had me in her arms and on the bed and in her lap and I was actually purring at her before I realized hey! She is holding me! OH no! That’s not going to happen and I scratched and gave a mad yowl and fled to under the bed. But it was lovely while it lasted and I let her stroke my head. When she tried stroking my back now I wasn’t having any of that and I hissed at her, but wait I stayed in her lap for a few minutes. Hmm. Okay, well I like her. Maybe we can do that again another time if she doesn’t pick me up and lets me crawl into her lap. Love Mother already and adjusting to Mel, but Mother has such a kind voice and she is older and slower and so isn’t as quick as Mel. Know that Mel came after me, but Mother was here waiting for me and I just love her and love it when she comes into the room and talks to me.

Callie and I had such a good time bird watching yesterday. We kept climbing on top of the window unit in one of the windows. No central air here says Mom just window units and fans because it’s an older house and they never got around to putting in central air. Great place to perch and look out the window and watch the birds and they were just flying from the trees next door and landing on the trees in our yard. Wish we could go outside but Mel says several reasons we can’t, that we were wild for awhile and so can’t and that we aren’t adjusted to here yet and so we can’t. Said something about her friends trying to devise a cat pen one that breaks down so that when the weather is pretty we can go outside and sit in it and not dig out or get out, a bigger thing that breaks down and puts together easily. They want to put shelves of some special type in the room for us too, but are not yet since we’re new and because later we will be allowed to walk around the house more freely. Depends on how long it takes us to adjust weeks or months. Callie will go back out and visit the dog too Dion and misses her, just loves Dion, but we had to protest yesterday and let Mel know that Callie stayed away from me too long. Mel says eventually she will leave the door open for me, but not just yet. Callie says they have boxes from storage out going through them too, and that they look fun! Maybe we can climb through them if we go out.

Oh, I have gifts! Rosettes. Now how do I get those off the page and onto the floor of the room? Hmm. Will have to think about that one:

!!! = Thanks to The family of Junior~Petunior Poop, Cisco The Kidd Poop, Smilin' Penny Poop :º )~, Annie Dog Poop and more! for the Power of the Paw & the welcoming message !
!!! = Thanks to Lucky for the little snowman and friendship message!

!!!! = Great thanks to Bitu for the snowball fortress & piles of snowballs! = !!!!

Will have to add here later. Mel, you are so far behind on thanking my friends!:

C@T C@T C@T Special thanks to Shelby who was Dion The CatDog’s fur-iend first even though they couldn’t cross friend list from Dogster to Catster, the lovely black and white cat for being my fur-iend!!!

C@T == Thank you to Kinsey sweet angel girl the orange tabby who has gone over the Rainbow Bridge for being my fur-iend.
C@T == Thank you to Mittens the pretty gray & white cat with the beautiful page! & family member of Kinsey over the Rainbow Bridge for being my fur-iend

The True Rulers of the House are Us, The Cats!

Like hanging out with Callie. We love the sewing cabinet that was turned into our house in the closet. No sewing machine in it just our oversized cushion and the cabinet has different escape routes. I can sit on the edge and jump straight up onto a closet shelf and hide out there for awhile behind different things stored on the shelf including some soft things that are to sleep on. I can see anyone coming into the room from my closet shelf lookout too and hide a little better or move completely. I can be very difficult to find when I want to be. The new house for me and Calliope is warm and safe. Just let anyone try to make it not safe by reaching in for me. Mel comes for Callie every day in the afternoon or evening and takes her out, but I always know when that time is coming and I move so I won’t get touched even by accident. Callie lets Mel pet her and take her to the tv room where they sit on the sofa with Dion The CatDog and watch tv and Mel holds Callie and pets her and Callie apparently crawls all over Dion since she smells heavily of both Mel and of Dion especially Dion when she gets back to the room. She always leaps out of Mel’s arms & heads under the bed where I am waiting for her. Today I nearly had a panic attack and was thinking of putting my paws under the door & getting that door open to go and look for her when Mel came back in the room for her and I had to run as fast as I could to get under the bed, but I was still anxious so I stayed closer to the edge under the bed. Even let Mel reach under the bed and move a box that was there and let her hand get very near me. She wasn’t trying to touch me or pet me, was just trying to see me and I moved closer to her to let her know that I was indeed all right even though she had scared me keeping Callie away so long. Callie was looking for me too, had dashed to our under the bed corner where I normally wait for her and she was so happy to see me. I would be most distraught and terribly angry if someone tried to take my friend Callie away and would be very upset indeed if anyone tried to hurt her because she is my friend, not my kitten but the cat even though babycat who shares my space with me and who curls up to me and sleeps. Want to see how bad my claws are unsheathed? Just bother my Calliope. Starting to feel that way about my humans too and Callie really loves Dion so wouldn’t want anything to happen to her either. My home. My room -- okay our room: belongs to me and Callie, and Mel and Mother are allowed in to watch tv if they want and they’re threatening to come in here and sleep again one or the other. Our dog. Now, Dion may think she owns us, but she doesn’t understand we are the cats and we are the possessors of things and other pets and the people in the house and we are the hidden rulers. Eventually since she is part cat as in CatDog who can purr and who does cat like things, she the dog might actually figure this fact out. Doubt that the humans will ever catch on that we exercise psychic powers of mind control over them. Humans are so mistaken. They say or some do we think we rule. Think? Wrong. Know. Eventually I may have to venture out into this house and explore my new kingdom, well ours since I will allow Callie to be a co ruler but I’m the Countess and her rank is a bit below mine, but still she is a cat yet just a baby. Seniority also wins.

Love to all from the ruler of the house or one of them. Thomasina The Countess of Monte Cristo.

Had to bat at those silk roses all by myself yesterday after I got up on the bed and tried to eat them & found out they weren’t real flowers. Had fun batting them around with Callie last night but Calliope and I are having such fun today playing chase and chasing each other around the room. Mel said we sounded like horses galloping or elephants stomping we were being so loud. That’s because we had to jump way up into the air and land on things like the floor and the tops of my hideout and the big box hiding the litterbox and to the window sill. We’re having a great time today and I chased Callie’s tail back! Didn’t hurt her but teach her to chase my tail! I made Callie get off the drapes too, just batted at her tail which was swinging when she tried to climb the other pair at the side. She found out all the windows are sealed shut good and she can’t get out. Had already told her that too. We watched the birds from the little table Mel must have put in the room for us so we could see outside. The lamp on the table is a bit in the way but we decided not to knock it down ‘cause it might break. Showed Callie how very soft the top of the bed was and how that lovely cloth thing inside has feathers all inside it that smell like birds! Mel said it’s called a down comforter. Too bad it’s inside a cover thing because I would like to check and see if there’s any live birds still inside. Tried but too many buttons and flaps covering it and Mel caught me so I darted into my hideout and hid out and Callie came with me. She was going to let Mel pick her up, but she decided chasing me into the hideout and taking a nap there would be much better. Yawn. Time for another little catnap. Yowl. Mreow. Purr. Purr. Purr. Oh, the little baby cats. Glad to have a new cat in the room with me, but she’s a baby and felt like I was babysitting yesterday and she kept trying outright to get us in bad trouble jumping up on furniture and pawing at things and running around like a little maniac at full speed. Just kept running up to me to give me kisses and to lay across my body which I’m sure she must have done to her own Mother and waking me up from naps and then falling asleep in the oddest places just completely tuckered out from all that running around and batting at things. Lovely Calico baby and she said she lived out in the woods for awhile too with her Mother and a nice lady came and got them and took them back to her warm apartment but had to find homes as quick as she could for them and think they may have stayed somewhere else part of the time because there was a pet deposit and a limit on the number of pets allowed where they were. She was born out in the woods near the apartments so we have similar stories yet hers isn’t as long and she wasn’t quite as wild as me, actually LETS Mel pick her up and LIKES it! Now even my little ones didn’t like that but maybe they do now. OH and she would just not stop that slapping her paws at my tail even when it wasn’t moving trying to get me to move it so she can chase it. MEL!!! Bring Callie some toys! My tail is NOT a toy I’ll have you know. Made me mad finally and I went to my old hide out and stayed awhile but wouldn’t you know it, her comes Callie to explore. I let her stay for awhile until she started bothering my ears and that was it! So chased her out for awhile and she hid right out in the open in a corner and was really surprised when Mel came in the room and could see her and made a run for it to under the bed! She’s still just such a baby and has so much to learn. In All C@Ttitude, Thomasina The Countess of Monte Cristo

Mel! You didn't thank my furry furiends! Will have to make sure she does that later and thanks those who gave me rosettes!

Sigh. Miss my little ones, but Mel said that they’re letting my former Mother hold them and they’re actually up in her hands to be photographed on the spot where our joint Kijiji ad was with just them up for adoption with prefer they go together. I hope someone does take them both and that way they won’t be alone in this world and will have each other always. Not missing them quite as much today but still miss them. So many things to explore in my new environment especially when they close my room door. Haven’t tried to get out and see the rest of the house yet, but I have been to that door just to sniff under it. The day is coming and maybe soon when I will leave this room.

Mother came in visit me and told me how sorry she was people were so mean to me and just left me to die and didn’t take me with them. She said I was a beautiful cat and that I reminded her of Thomas who was here before me. Yes, I knew more Siamese had been here even though their scent is so very faint and strongest in the closet. I like Mother. She has such a nice voice and she seems to understand how bad things were for me. Do like Mel, but she is not my new Mother. The one called Mother who is her Mother is my Mother. Mel is one of my humans, family, but she’s not my Mother. Mel comes in to visit me and check on me all the time and I try not to get caught anywhere except under the bed but I do think she saw me flying through the air from the closet shelf to reach the edge of the bed to dash under it, well not quite under it but close enough. Then there are the hangers on the floor which she seems to have noticed….

Won’t always tell you exactly where I am hiding, but right now I’m in the closet meowing this entry. Mel will probably come check on me again so I need to be prepared to dash under the bed as quickly as possible. Need her to think I’m sulking when I’m actually exploring. So Good Morning and Good Night both for now.

In all Cattitude, Thomasina The Countess of Monte Cristo

The food isn’t bad in this place, tastes just like my food at the old place with something mixed in that tastes of fish and is moist stuff mixed with my dry food. Have nibbled on it several times and had some of the water in the little bowl. Not my normal food dishes, just a little saucer and a little bowl but starting to smell like me. Strange litter box too inside this great big carton box on its side with flaps to hide me. Like that, the flaps so no one can see me. Still have my hide out here too but don’t trust it again yet. I was removed from my old home in it and the lid was lifted up too many times but I keep approaching it and might get back in it again soon. Prefer under the bed or the closet. Love the closet here.

Guess they know I’ve been in the closet because I knocked down empty hangers. Didn’t do it on purpose but needed to jump up on the top shelf and explore this new hide out. Can see outside from the shelf, the birds in the trees and the sky and other things so I like to hang out here on the shelf as long as no one is in the room. If Mel or Mother opens the door, I jump down flying across the room to the gap by the bed and hurry to get a little under the bed. They’re not grabbing me and taking me somewhere else. Don’t care if they say they won’t since I was just moved here. There’s a faint cat scent to the big shelf over the closet a pleasant smell that makes me feel welcome on the shelf. Not a new scent a bit old but still like it.

The lower part of the closet has this cabinet and Mel told me it was for a sewing machine that is no longer around. Don’t care what it was for because it’s mine now. I like hiding inside it in this flap inside nice and cozy. Smells like cat there too but still an old smell. I can also get behind it where no one can see me and hide out. Like this hanging thing inside the closet too a white big fabric thing that hangs inside the closet with clothes in it. I like to get inside it and just sit and sleep. Has some old fabric inside it which is soft. May not have been meant for me but it’s my fabric now and it’s my bed when I want it to be.

The bed smells too much like the people so I walk across it and leap across it, but I don’t stay there because they sit on it and lay on it and can tell they do. Have seen them sit on it so far. They talk to me. I like Mother’s voice best and go into the closet sometimes to hear it through the wall. I won’t let her touch me but I will get closer to her than to Mel, out of sight hiding of course, but still as close to her as I dare but where I can still dart away if she thinks about touching me. Mother came in and visited me today and sat on the bed and just talked to me while I was underneath. Her hand was hanging down and I let it get near me for a little bit and then went farther under the bed. Mel talks to me too, gets down to look at me under the bed and talks to me and I look at her and sometimes walk back and forth at the wall. Only Mother gets to see me from the top of the bed at the wall. I move under the bed if Mel tries to see me there because she carried my hideout and because so far I just like Mother best. Mel says that’s okay. Good. Glad it’s okay because I would like her best even if it wasn’t okay.

Mel (Meli Mom) will thank Thomasina’s new friends here later:

Home? Is This Home? & Journey to this place....

The new lady says this is home and maybe this is my new home, but I will have to wait and see. She may be sure but I’m not yet. Won’t always tell you where I am, but right now I’m in the very back corner under the bed. My container, den, hiding place with the top on it an hole cut in the front in which I was transported to this new place is near the bed and eventually I’ll dash for it and hide out. Knew I was leaving. My former Mom started keeping me away from my kittens and she and my new Mom agreed that was a good thing for us to be separated. They’re beautiful kittens and have just been to the cat doctor (and they’re still on Kijiji with their Mom’s ad and are available for adoption to just the right person although it is preferred that they not be separated -- contact Meli, paw mail if you want the ad number for the kittens. Their human Mom will be choosy and picky about finding just the right match for them and would keep them herself rather than let them go to the wrong home. They are adoptable, free, but that doesn‘t mean they will just go to anyone, has to be the right person or persons) and will go to a good home only said my former human Mom.

New lady came over and came into my room and my former Mom showed me to her, lifted my big plastic box cover and let us see each other. I gave the new lady who says she is Mel and Meli and I will think of her as Mel and she says many shorten her nickname to Mel all the same and she answers to both, but I gave the new lady my cold angry glare, a hard stare but she still seemed interested in me and knew not to try to touch me at all. If she had, I would have given her a swipe with my paw. I am not tame. I am still wild but I hear that I am starting to come around whatever that means. My doorway out was blocked so that I couldn’t get out with a foam box top but still had air coming in around it. I was not happy to be leaving but I wasn’t really asked just told that I was going to a new home and the new lady Mel which is what I will call her to myself, was happy for me to be leaving with her and said I would be given time.

Car ride home the dog she called Dion was in the front seat and I was in my hide out in the back seat. When the dog whined or made strange cat like noises at Mel, I just let her know that I was still in the box and she had better not be even thinking of trying to share the back seat with me even if I was in a hide out. I hissed at her and finally heard Mel say to her -- can’t think of her as Mom since my Mom is at my old home and Mel is the one at the new home but maybe just maybe one day she will be Mom. We’ll see. Finally heard Mel say to the dog Dion why are you on the floorboard? Good. My hissing let her know that I didn’t want her near me. Don’t want Mel too close either but she didn’t stick her nose into the back seat the way the strange dog that makes cat noises and dog noises both did. Very confusing creature this Dion who came to the door of the room where I will be hiding out for at least a week maybe two. We’ll see how long says Mel. Good. Glad she understands.

Got into my new room with Mel carrying my container though she opened it a tad and showed me to someone she called Mother. Think I like Mother. Older lady with black and gray hair and she said poor thing. Yes, I am a poor thing. I moved and stretched up on the foam lid to get a closer look at this Mother one. Mother made no attempt to touch me and so I just sniffed at the air to become familiar with her scent. Yes, cats do that too sniff the air but we’re a little more clever about it than the dogs. Our noses are very sensitive too and some might say more sensitive than the dog’s and with even a better sense of smell. Mel opened the container and I wanted to sniff her hand so I moved up toward it and she moved it down for me to smell. Wasn’t because it smelled like dog like that Dion that I gave her a good scratch on the back of her hand. She touched my ear, didn’t mean to I’m sure but I didn’t care. Still counts. No one touches me, so I let her know that immediately by sticking her with one of my claws in the back of then hand and pulling it down a little. Could have been worse. I also hissed repeatedly and gave her a nice Siamese yowl. Then I leapt out of my hiding place since the lid was off and jumped to the corner and found that I could easily get under the bed from there. And that’s where I still am now, under the bed.

Mel has put out food for me and maybe I might eat it. We’ll see. A little bowl of water too and both are half under the edge of the bed. The door is closed. Good. No one can come in and that dog can’t get into my room and this is my room. I hope they know that fact, that this is my room. They can come in and see me but I might not come out. Time will tell. The front of my hide out is at the corner of the bed too so that I can dash out and run in but I have to make sure the lid will not be lifted first. Prefer that the lid stay down. Miss my kittens but they will be just fine. At least I have found some good places to hide in this room. Don’t think I want to leave this room for awhile but again We’ll see… Thomasina

Still at the Old Place

My current Mom talked to my future Mom on the phone and so I know something is up. Know my life is about to change again and know I’m going somewhere. Hope my kittens are okay but they’re growing up fast and will be cats one day in the weeks to come. I’m glad they have a good Mom my current Mom whether they leave her for a happy home which she will very carefully choose and make sure they’re wanted and a good match to any new people or whether they stay with her where they will be very happy too and well cared for and loved. That’s all a Mother can ask for her babies. Where am I going? Don’t know anything about my new home but know just sense they were talking about me on the phone. When I get to my new place, I will most certainly hide out for awhile and hope my new Mom understands and she might have to look for me and just talk to me and let me get used to her voice first. I can ramble around when everyone sleeps. Don’t know when I’m leaving here yet but soon it seems. Curious like the cat I am but don’t care for change but it comes all the same.

{Thomasina’s Mom will thank new furry fur-iends for awhile and it’s great that some of you have reached out even before she has arrived and extended the paw of friendship and we’re very excited about her coming to live with us because she would hide out as the new cat for awhile all the same and as a Siamese and we don’t mind being having to be patient longer and earning her trust as she has learned betrayal from human kind. Shouldn’t happen but it happens all too often. We’re trying to calm down so that when she arrives at her furever home we will not make her overly anxious but it will be so wonderful to have a cat here again! Eventually she and Dion will be friends and Dion is learning patience with cats but she so loves kitties! Thomasina is a Siamese cat so I’m sure her eventual diary tone will be much more dignified and hopefully eventually playful but we will see what the future holds for her on these pages as we all get to know each other….}

Meli Mom thanks the following new furry fur-iends on behalf of Thomasina the lovely Siamese:

---Ciao-Li the Maine Coon Cat of the beautiful kitty tail and fellow cat rescue.
---Jean Louise “Weezer” the Brown Tabby Domestic short hair fellow cat rescue.
---Katie the Lilac Point Siamese and fellow cat rescue.

Meli Mom thanks you all on behalf of Thomasina for being her new furry fur-iends. We also thank two that have crossed over The Rainbow Bridge for being kitty furry friends:

--- Sheba (In Loving Memory) the Seal Point Siamese like the cat here before Thomas though that was years ago and after it was many Tabbies, one part Bobcat as in wild bobcat and part Tabby, and a Russian Blue Smoke Persian and others.
---Arlo (In Loving Memory) the bicolor Siamese with the pretty black to the back fur.

All of the above are family with many, many furry fur-iends and thank you for extending the paw to Thomasina from her Meli Mom. Eventually she will thank you all herself all her kitty fur-iends, but don’t know when that will be…

Actually, Not in my new Mom's house yet. Will be next week or maybe tomorrow if my new Mom can arrange it. My current Mom is preparing me to leave. New Mom has had the flu & has been trying to get better so she can come after me. I will have all kinds of hiding places in my new house and new Mom is even trying to make some for me. Not looking forward to leaving the old place but current Mom has many pets and she took me in and loved me and cared for me and prepared me for a new home. If it can be arranged will talk to you again tomorrow or very soon. I'm sure that I will be hiding out for awhile, but I can talk from wherever I'm hiding as I get to know my new place and my new humans.
