Arrival Story: One day while I was living in Melbourne, Florida. My next door neighbor Eileen who feed the feral cat colony with my mom and I' mentioned a pregnant kitty living on the pool veranda at the apartment building next to ours. She said that this was to be the cats fifth litter of kittens and that the "owner" of the cat would let her in and out until she got pregnant and then he would through her out to deal with the kittens on her own. She asked if my Mom and I would take the cat who was due for kittens any day. We did and she had her kittens about four days later. She had three, Uno so named for the fact that she was the first born, Katia who looks just like her but grew to be significantly larger and Mauna Loa who takes after her mischievous spirit. Misty and her kittens were fixed and vaccinated as soon as possible. They were such a close knit family that there was no way I could separate them. After about a year of trying to find them a home, I decided to keep them, and we have been a happy family ever since.
