Arrival Story:
Soda is Pepsi's son. He wasn't wanted by his last family and was living outside, so we took him in. Soda was actually conceived on our shed roof. Pepsi was not our cat at that time and she was being relentlessly pursued by a tabby cat we used to call Fluffy. Even a jug of water wouldn't put him off and so Soda was made. Soda's dad, Fluffy was a stray who tested positive for FIV. He went to live at a sanctuary for FIV cats.
These days, un-neutered cats in our neighbourhood don't stand a chance - we make sure they get fixed!
Bio:
Blade didn't used to like Soda all that much. They got along OK at first but when Pepsi moved in things went downhill and Pepsi & Soda started teaming up against Blade. Blade started to become withdrawn and unhappy. In the summer of 2007 a little squabble between Soda & Blade quickly turned into a serious fight. Pepsi joined in as she obviously felt the need to defend her 16lb son. Blade couldn't defend himself against both of them and he was badly bitten and needed veterinary treatment. Blade was very shaken.It took a long time for everything to calm down and them all to start getting along again. Now when unsupervised, Blade and Soda are segregated and everyone's much happier with the situation. It's strange because Blade gets on fine with Pepsi when Soda is not around and fairly OK with Soda when Pepsi is not around - but all three together and something inexplicable happens to the chemistry and it's not good!
UPDATE March 2009: The segregation when unsupervised helped a lot. Soda has mellowed a lot and Blade is now more trusting of Soda. They are becoming more of a 'team'!

Thank you Catster, for making me Cat of The Day today!! Blade has gone back to bed in utter disgust at hearing the news, which makes me even happier!
I've already used my status to my advantage already today. The insane looking black tomcat with the weird flat ears, or 'Bat Cat' as I like to call him, came into our garden this morning and he was actually going to SPRAY in the exact spot I like sit! I marched over to him and yelled "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM???!!! I AM CATSTER CAT OF THE DAY!!!Don't you DARE foul up my relaxation area!!
I did it in cat language so it sounded more like this YEEEEEEOWWWL!MEEEEEOOOOOOOWWWOOOWWWWL!
Then I told him to get his big face out of my face and be on his way before I rained on him! I had to say the last part really fast because I could hear my mum coming down the path to bring me inside as she doesn't like me to get into fights.
Anyway, he turned tail and fled because he obviously knew not to mess with the COTD!
I plan to spend the rest of my day boasting and showing off to Blade and just generally larging it!
