Arrival Story:
Bart and his late brother Monty came to us as tiny 12 week old kittens from a breeder.

Bio:
Bart is very old and slightly senile. He purrs at the slightest touch and is loving to everyone. He is a sweet old boy and impossible to resist because he still looks like a kitten. Update. Bart is now having more problems. We have discovered that his hearing is almost completely gone and he has also lost some of his sight. We have to bath him now as he no longer bothers to wash and his first bath made us realise how much his mental state is slipping. He did not realise he was sitting in water for several minutes, until we were pretty much done. It was quite upsetting for us, but he was his usual happy self. He still eats and sleeps well and of course loves his cuddles. We have to be sure to alert him with a very gentle touch before picking him up now as he tends not to notice us approach. As the runt of his litter Bart was never expected to live such a long and heathly life, we hope his twilight days continue to be so content for him. He is not sick and has no pain, may he contiune the same way for a long, long time. Update. Now 17 Bart slips futher in to his own little world. Still happy and pain free he is now completely deaf. He managed to singe his whiskers by walking past the gas when it was on but he didn't notice. He burned his tail (not badly and without noticing) by sitting with it in a bowl of hot water. He is mostly incontinent too. We make the most of every day with him as he is now a danger to himself and we know that soon we will have to make an awful decsion for him :( Final enrty: Bart developed digestive failure this week. He was unable to swallow, bleeding inside and in pain . We helped him to the bridge Oct 5th 2006 he was aged17 years. Night night little Scrag.
