Arrival Story:
We had 3 female cats for 16 years. Our last girl passed away in June '08 the night before the family went on vacation and we were very sad. Fast forward to the end of September and I was in PetSmart to buy guinea pig food. Right inside of the entrance a cage was set up with 2 pairs of kittens from a local humane society. Two of the kittens were tuxedo cats, one long hair and one short hair. Well, I've always admired tuxedo cats and I was really missing having a cat in the house. I told my hubby about them later in the day and he told me that he had just had a dream that we adopted 2 cats!! So, the next day we went back with our 2 children to meet the kitties. We thought about it one more night and then my hubby went back to next evening to pick them up while I had the kids at swimming lessons. I warned the kids on the way home that the new kitties might be frightened and not to be disappointed if they wouldn't come out and play. However, when we got home they came up to greet us and haven't been shy once since then. We love Shade and Smudge!
